"It seems Schalke Castle was the target of the bomb?"

Walking along the rugged mountain path of the Schalke Mountains, Connor held the crudely made mirror in his hand, looked down at the black spots appearing on it, and muttered to himself:

Upon seeing Epstein's appearance, Connor, standing atop a thousand-meter-high mountain with binoculars in hand, smiled faintly. Undoubtedly, the billowing black smoke rising from Schalke Castle and the earlier explosion were caused by the black pill alchemical bomb he had concocted. This castle, built at the foot of a mountain, was originally mortgaged five years ago by the family's Alex Consortium of Rune due to their inability to repay loans. Twenty-nine percent of the Alex Consortium's shares belong to the Church of Rune, meaning the Schalke Castle is connected to the Church of Storms.

Combining this with his previous speculations, before coming here, Connor couldn't help but wonder if old Victor wanted to replicate what he had done in the secret warehouse in Mallorca to lure out Epstein and eliminate him, so that the Secret Society's mole, Edel, could take down Lenglet's arrogance.

Under Connor's expectant gaze, Epstein and the other three were surrounded by six men in black who suddenly sprang out of the castle before they could even get close!

"Huh...?" Connor looked puzzled as he saw the six men in black through the binoculars. He wasn't puzzled by their appearance; it was exactly what he expected. What puzzled him was that he felt a sense of déjà vu about them!
