Chapter 204 A Little Bit of Good Fortune!

Connor also had a black robe, but it was far inferior to the enchanted Nightingale Cloak. Not only did it lack defensive and agility abilities, it could only block the naked eye of ordinary people and could not block the detection of a wizard's mental power.

This black robe is one of Connor's early alchemical creations. Now that Connor has broken through to the intermediate wizard apprentice level, his alchemical abilities have greatly improved, so he naturally has some ideas about his own black robe. If he hadn't been busy with other things lately, Connor would probably have already started working on a new black robe.

Spending ten gold pounds to see up close what black cloaks made by other alchemists look like can at least provide one perspective.

Once the wizards who had been viewing the Nightingale Cloak up close returned to their seats, the competition for the cloak began. One person added fifty gold pounds, another added one hundred gold pounds, and soon the price broke through the one thousand gold pound mark. In the end, the slender lady who had first spent ten gold pounds to get a close look at the Nightingale Cloak bought it for one thousand two hundred gold pounds.

The price of 1,200 gold pounds left Connor speechless. In his opinion, Alazov's starting bid of 500 gold pounds for the Nightingale Cloak was a bit too high. Connor believed that a final price of 800 to 1,000 gold pounds would be a reasonable range for the Nightingale Cloak.

You should know that 1,200 gold pounds can buy a very powerful level 1 enchanted item! Looking at the satisfied expression on the lady's face after buying the Nightingale Cloak, Connor couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile. It seems that he had underestimated the price of enchanted items!

The auction continued, and this time the items caught Connor's eye.

"The seventeenth item for auction, a Gregor Gem, starting bid two hundred gold pounds!" Alazov showed the wizards in the hall the yellowish-brown gem in his hand, but no one was really interested in this very obscure item. They looked at each other, and no one made a bid.

Seeing this, Alazov frowned slightly and began to explain, "Many of you may not be familiar with this Greg Gem, but I must say that it is an extremely rare earth-attribute alchemy material. It has very significant effects in crafting earth-attribute enchanted items!"

Despite Alazov's words, it was clear that none of the people present, except for Connor, were interested in the Glazer Gem, and no one offered a price for it.

Seeing this, Connor chuckled to himself. Seeing the disappointment on Alazov's face, and knowing the Glazer gem was going to go unsold, Connor slowly said, "Two hundred gold pounds!"

Seeing that someone had made a bid, even though it was the same as the starting price, Alazov's expression softened, and he said without hesitation, "Sold!"

After handing two hundred gold pounds to Alazov, Connor put away his Glazer Gem. Back in his seat, Connor outwardly appeared indifferent, but inwardly he was overjoyed. This Glazer Gem was a core component for enhancing the performance of his Demon-Detecting Staff. Connor had originally budgeted a full four hundred gold pounds for it, but to his utter surprise, no one was competing with him for it; he had acquired it for only two hundred gold pounds!

Having snagged the Glazer Gem, Connor was even more excited for the next auction item. However, to Connor's surprise, Alazov brought out a very significant item for the auction.

With a solemn expression, Alazov took out an iron cage about two meters tall from his spatial ring. Inside the cage was a snow-white magical beast cub that resembled a tiger on Earth. However, unlike a tiger, this little creature had completely blood-red eyes. Although the cub was small, its blood-red eyes were filled with ferocity.

The magical beast cub, previously confined in its cage, was brought out, instantly creating a tense atmosphere in the hall. All the wizards in the living room were drawn to the cub...

The old man with a full head of white hair, Alazov, seemed to have anticipated this situation. His aged face showed no surprise, and he did not open his mouth to introduce what the magical beast cub was. He simply let the wizards in the hall observe it on their own!

The wizards in the hall scrutinized the monster cub for a full five minutes before a tall, imposing man, whose face was obscured by a dark red cloak, finally spoke with a booming voice: "Old man, could this little thing be...?"

Called an old man by the burly man, Alazov wasn't annoyed. He smiled slightly and said leisurely, "It seems Mr. Rooney has already guessed. That's right, this little guy is the extremely famous Odin Blood Tiger of the Odin Empire. His strength in adulthood is equivalent to a high-level wizard apprentice. Even now, don't underestimate this little guy because of his size; his strength is still equivalent to a junior wizard apprentice!"

"I believe everyone here has heard of the Odin Blood Tiger's reputation. I won't go into its legends and merits. I'll just promise you one thing: this Blood Tiger cub is perfectly healthy and without any problems. If I could tame it, I would keep it for myself!" A hint of regret flashed in Alazov's eyes as he said this, but he quickly masked it and changed the subject:

"One Odin Blood Tiger cub, starting bid 1,500 gold pounds, minimum increment 100 gold pounds. Auction begins now!"

As soon as Alazov finished speaking, the price was immediately raised to two thousand gold pounds by the guy who had just asked the question and whom Alazov called "Mr. Rooney".

Hearing that someone had already offered two thousand gold pounds right from the start, Connor, sitting in the corner, shook his head helplessly. He was one of the many wizards who had been observing the little creature. He had long heard of the Odin Blood Tiger's name, but apart from seeing its appearance in paintings in books, this was the first time he had seen it alive.

The Odin Blood Tiger is a very famous magical beast in the Odin Empire. It lives on the Odin Snowfield and is a solitary creature. Adult Odin Blood Tigers generally possess the strength of a high-level wizard apprentice, and some records indicate that a few adult Odin Blood Tigers can even break through bloodline limitations and rival the strength of a full-fledged wizard! Countless magical beasts inhabit the Odin Snowfield, but only the Odin Blood Tiger bears the name of Odin!
