Chapter 109 The Young Woman Shop Manager

Chapter 109 The Young Woman Shop Manager (Please vote!!!)

"You are..." Connor narrowed his eyes as he looked at the young woman who appeared to be the shop manager and greeted him.

"Sir, I am Leonie, the store manager of this Jennifer boutique!" The store manager, who identified herself as Leonie, maintained her polite and friendly smile.

"My girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon, and I'd like to get her a set of lingerie as a birthday present. Do you have any high-end items here?" Connor asked deliberately, his eyes darting around.

Upon hearing that Connor wanted something high-end, Manager Leonie's eyes immediately lit up. She then glanced up and down at Connor's expensive, custom-made clothing, and her smile broadened even further. "Sir, please come this way!"

Following Manager Leonie into a beautifully decorated small room within the Jennifer boutique, Manager Leonie pointed to the sexy lingerie on a wooden mannequin and said to Connor, "This is the most high-end lingerie in our Jennifer boutique. I believe it will accentuate your girlfriend's sexy and alluring curves even more!"

While pretending to look at the lingerie on the mannequins, Connor carefully channeled his mental energy outwards onto the store manager, Leonie.

Based on the feedback from the mental strength test, this shopkeeper Leoni, although not a wizard, is not an ordinary person either. Beneath her young woman appearance lies the strength of a formal knight.

After a moment's hesitation, Connor pointed to the red lingerie worn by the mannequin next to him and said, "Manager Leonie, do you have a new one of that? If so, pack it up for me!"

"Yes, yes! I'll get it for your husband right away!" Manager Leoni's eyes flickered, she smiled and nodded, then went into the storeroom.

However, when Connor heard her words, a playful smile appeared on his lips.

About three minutes later, Manager Leonie returned with a bag, walked straight to Connor, and, as if to show him the contents, said, "Sir, this is new, please take a look!"

"Snapped!"

Before Leoni could even take the contents out of the pocket, Connor swung his hand and knocked the pocket away.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I didn't expect Margaret to give you something that senses mental energy. That's quite a surprise!" Connor said telepathically to the shopkeeper, Leonie, with a half-smile.

When her pocket was knocked out and she heard Connor mention the name Margaret in his telepathic message, the young shopkeeper Leonie's expression changed drastically. A resolute look flashed across her face, and she slammed her hand against her forehead as if she were about to commit suicide on the spot!

Seeing this, Connor was stunned for a moment, but fortunately Connor reacted quickly and immediately stopped Leonie's suicide when her palm was just a hair's breadth away from her forehead!

While inwardly admiring Leonie's loyalty to Margaret, and to prevent Leonie from committing suicide again, Connor quickly explained his purpose: "Margaret sent me here to find you. I'm not your enemy!"

Upon hearing Connor's explanation, a flicker of doubt crossed Leonie's face, but she stopped her self-immolation.

Seeing this, Connor nodded slightly, then discreetly pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Leonie, saying, "Give this to Margaret and tell her I got what she wanted. This is a list of what I wanted; get as much as you can!"

"Who are you...?" Leonie quickly took the list, glanced at it, and then asked Connor in a low voice;

"You don't need to know who I am. Just tell Margaret the message, and she'll know who I am!" With that, Connor flicked his sleeve, and the bag Leoni had dropped on the ground was in his hand. Upon closer inspection, there was no sign of the red underwear Connor had been looking for; instead, there lay a revolver.

With a slight smile, Connor opened the chamber of his pistol, revealing six silver anti-magic bullets inside!

"Remember to ask the customer what size they want before you hand them something next time!" Connor winked and smiled as he put the revolver back in the bag and handed the bag to Leonie.

Leonie hesitated for a moment, but still took the bag, and the wariness in her eyes when she looked at Connor eased somewhat.

With a wave of his hand, Connor said no more and turned to leave.

However, what he could never have imagined was that as soon as he left the Jennifer boutique, the young store manager, Leonie, smiled. She closed the door, walked to a mannequin in the room, and gently pressed on its private parts. A jade pendant immediately slid from its private parts into her hand.

Leonie tapped the jade pendant repeatedly with her fair, jade-like fingers, and a red dot immediately appeared on it. Seeing the red dot appear, Leonie placed it to her lips and softly spoke:

"Sister Margaret, Connor Ferguson came to see me. He said he has what you wanted, and he gave me a list of what he asked for. I'll put it in the usual place... This future Imperial Earl is quite a lovely young man!"

In the middle of the night, Connor sat in the living room. On the table in front of him was a bottle of Silver's Reserve, the top-tier gin from the most famous gin estate in the Empire, Château de Campaign. This was a surprise Connor had prepared especially for his guests who would be visiting that night!

Connor didn't have to wait long. When the clock struck 15:00, a fragrant breeze wafted over, and upon closer inspection, a purple figure appeared on the sofa opposite Connor.

After admiring Margaret's face, a face that could captivate any man, Connor pointed to the vintage Sylvester bottle on the table and said to Margaret, "I noticed you liked gin last time, so I specially prepared a good bottle for you. Would you like to try it?"

Margaret glanced at the collectible Sylvester on the table, but said nothing.

Seeing this, Connor chuckled self-deprecatingly and didn't press the matter further. He took a wine glass from the cupboard, opened the Silverworth Reserve, poured the wine into the glass, and drank it all in one gulp.

After finishing his drink, Connor shrugged, took out the bearer ticket for the Ivanka he had obtained from George, placed it on the table, and began a new round of negotiations with Margaret.

"I got what you wanted, but where's what I asked for?"

Margaret's gaze was fixed on the ship tickets, but she still did not speak.

With a sneer, Connor, unconcerned that Margaret might cause trouble on his turf, generously pushed the ticket to Margaret's side.
