Douluo Continent: My Martial Soul is the Mysterious Heavy Ruler

Chapter 43 Purple-Gold Battle Soul

Xiao Yi completed the registration process before the team members, so naturally he went out first.

With the staff's reminder, Xiao Yi slowly stepped onto the Soul Battle Platform.

On the Soul Arena, a voluptuous bunny girl stood in the center, holding a cone-shaped megaphone and announcing loudly: "Next, we will begin the fifth match of the one-on-one Soul Arena in our sixteenth branch. The two Soul Masters will be facing off: Yi Xiao, a Battle Soul Master with the weapon spirit Iron Ruler, against Meng Li from the Fierce God Team, who has won three consecutive matches."

"Whether Meng Li will achieve a four-game winning streak or the newcomer Yi Xiao will emerge victorious, let's wait and see. Now, please welcome the two Soul Masters to the stage."

As soon as Meng Li stepped onto the stage, the audience erupted in cheers.

"Meng Li! Tear him apart!"

"Meng Li! Teach this kid a lesson!"

Meng Li is the captain of the Fierce God Team. His martial soul is the Berserk Giant Bear. He is a powerful offensive type battle soul master with a soul power level of 43.

Just like their team name, the Fierce God Team is known for its brutality and has a bad reputation in the Soul Arena. This is because they use the guise of Soul Battle to kill and maim people on the Soul Battle stage for their own amusement. Their team motto is to grow through killing, and their members are all cruel and bloodthirsty.

After reviewing the information about the Fierce God Team in his mind, Xiao Yi had no more reservations. He was originally worried that he might not be able to control his strength and kill someone, but if he enjoyed killing innocent people, then it didn't matter.

Perhaps due to his frequent killings in the Soul Arena, Meng Li possessed an extremely strong aura of bloodlust.

"Where did this brat come from? Didn't your parents tell you not to come to the Soul Arena to die?" Meng Li started with trash talk.

Trash talk is something many people enjoy doing in the arena; it can destabilize the opponent's mentality and make it easy to win.

However, Xiao Yi didn't take the trash talk to heart; his only goal was to get the other party off the stage.

"Can the referee begin?" Xiao Yi asked the referee.

The referee was stunned. Normally, both sides would exchange trash talk when they came on the court, but Xiao Yi's unconventional approach was something she hadn't expected.

However, she quickly regained her composure and announced the start of the competition.

"Playing tricks!"

Meng Li snorted coldly and released his martial spirit.

After his spirit was attached to his body, white, yellow, and purple spirit rings appeared on his body, and his body swelled up, covered with dense hair, and his hands turned into bear paws.

Seeing that Meng Li's martial soul had been attached to him, Xiao Yi also revealed his martial soul. The disguised two yellow and two purple soul rings were revealed. Without saying a word, Xiao Yi activated his fourth soul skill, Gravity Suppression, and then rushed closer. With a single step, he knocked Meng Li off the battle stage, his life hanging in the balance.

"Yi Xiao wins this battle of spirits!" the host announced at the opportune moment.

"What a piece of trash! He can't even withstand one move, and he calls himself a fierce god? Bah!"

"Exactly, that's right. I wasted five hundred gold soul coins, and now I'm going to get a beating from my wife when I get home."

At this moment, the people in the audience began to speak.

"Captain!" x6

When the members of the Fierce God Team saw their captain being knocked off the Soul Arena in one move, they rushed forward to check on Meng Li's condition. At this time, Meng Li was barely breathing.

"Boy, you're incredibly ruthless. We have no grudge against you, so why did you hit us so hard?"

"I didn't want to either, but who told your captain to be so weak? He couldn't even withstand one of my moves," Xiao Yi said sarcastically.

"You sharp-tongued brat!" said the vice-captain of the Fierce God Team.

"Vice Captain, now is not the time to talk about this. The most important thing is to find a healing Soul Master to heal the Captain first," one of the team members said.

"Kid, you just wait!" the vice-captain said threateningly before leading his team away.

Back in the rest area, Xiao Yi watched Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling fight a two-person soul battle. Their opponents were two Soul Masters, but Dugu Yan, in her dragon form, used her third soul skill to stun them both before knocking them off the stage with a single blow.

After several months of training, the Royal Fighting Team also learned about the changes in Dugu Yan's martial soul. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon also came to test if there were any rare treasures, but after Dugu Bo revealed his level 95 soul power, they dared not ask any further. Even having an old dragon at home was of no use, because Dugu Bo's poison was too intimidating.

After Dugu Yan finished her match, she turned around and saw Xiao Yi watching her performance. So, after the host announced her victory, she ran towards Xiao Yi.

After running over, Dugu Yan hugged Xiao Yi's arm and boasted, "I'm amazing, aren't I!"

Seeing Dugu Yan's expression seeking praise, Xiao Yi said, "My Yan Yan is the best."

"Hehe." Dugu Yan chuckled foolishly upon hearing Xiao Yi's praise.

An hour later, the team members completed their battle spirit preparations and prepared to leave the arena.

However, after leaving the scene, Xiao Yi noticed something was wrong. He turned around without making a sound and found that the people from the Fierce God Team were following him.

So he told his teammates to go back first, that he had something to do and would be back later.

"Why did that kid disappear?" The Fierce God Team asked in confusion when they discovered Xiao Yi's sudden disappearance.

"That kid killed the captain, we have to avenge him!"

It turns out that the Fierce God Team died while carrying Meng Li to find a healing Soul Master. They felt it was all Xiao Yi's fault, but they never considered that they had treated their enemies the same way before.

"Are you looking for me?" A voice suddenly came from behind the Fierce God Team.

When Xiao Yi discovered that the Fierce God Team was following them, he decided to kill them. After all, those who kill will always be killed, and they had killed quite a few people who had no grudge against them. Xiao Yi killing them could be considered doing a good deed.

The Fierce God Team broke out in a cold sweat after hearing the voice. When they turned around, they saw Xiao Yi standing behind them.

"Kid, you actually dare to come looking for us alone? Are you tired of living?" the vice-captain said fiercely.

"Oh? Is that so?" Xiao Yi said, revealing his yellow, purple, and black soul rings.

"You're not a Soul Master? And what kind of monster are you?!" One of them was so frightened by Xiao Yi's Soul Ring that he could barely speak.

"What are you afraid of! All six of us will go at him together, I don't believe we can't take him down," the vice-captain encouraged.

Upon hearing this, the others activated their spirit rings, each one consisting of one white, two yellow, and one purple ring.

Xiao Yi didn't want to waste time, so he used the Flame Splitting Wave Ruler to send the six people to reunite with their captain.

"Pah, the Resurrection Sect, is this all the money they have?" Xiao Yi complained after touching the corpse.

Xiao Yi took out three hundred gold soul coins from the six Soul Masters.

After cleaning up the battlefield, Xiao Yi headed towards the academy.

Of course, no one noticed what was happening here.

……

Three months later.

"Let's congratulate Yi Xiao on obtaining the Purple Gold Fighting Spirit Badge."

After three months of Soul Battle, Xiao Yi reached the Purple Gold Soul Battle level, while the team's Soul Battle level had reached the Gold Soul Battle level a month earlier, and all the team members also had Gold Soul Battle levels, with everyone's Soul Power increasing by one level.
