Chapter 95 On the Road

Time passed quickly.

Seven or eight days later, by a stream, Adir opened his eyes, ending his meditation.

"The traps we set didn't react, so it seems we're safe now."

A few days later, Adir began to see some villages where some locals lived, but most villages had small populations, with only a few dozen people in many villages.

The language used here is an ancient language called Cuban, but perhaps due to its remoteness, the local language has undergone some changes. Although it still belongs to the Cuban language family, it sounds more like a difficult dialect, which makes Adir feel a little uncomfortable.

With the help of the chip, Adir was able to communicate with the locals and obtain some basic information from them.

Adir stood out from the other pedestrians.

Before leaving the academy, Adir exchanged some mortal currency for his upcoming journey. Although the style might be different from that used in this duchy, silver and gold coins were generally fine to use, though the calculations might be a bit complicated.

"You can go in now."

The guard squeezed the silver coin in his hand, swallowed hard, and then looked at Adir with some resentment.

As Adir entered the city, his eyes were fixed on the long sword at Adir's waist and the two horses behind him, his eyes revealing a kind of greed and desire.

Adir noticed his gaze but paid it no mind.

This kind of thing is quite normal, and for Adir, if someone really messes with him, it's just a matter of a spell.

"Sir, would you like a guide?"

As we entered the city, a voice suddenly rang out ahead.

Adir looked ahead and saw a boy of about twelve or thirteen years old standing there. The boy looked at Adir with a nervous expression and said, "Sir, I know this city very well. For just one copper coin, I can take you anywhere here."

A frantic shout came from inside.

Inside the hotel, two men emerged, both wearing sinister smiles. One was holding a blonde girl, while the other was holding a middle-aged woman. They appeared to be accomplices of the scarred man from before.

At this moment, looking at the scarred man in front of her, the blonde girl struggled frantically, but was held tightly and could not break free at all.

"Anyway, Green..."

Looking at the middle-aged man lying on the ground, the scarred man walked forward with a sneer, and pulled out a small knife from somewhere.

He placed one foot on the middle-aged man's chest, lowered his head, and said, "So? Are you going to pay me back or not?"
