Chapter 63 Evidence

More than two months later.

As the surrounding scenery rushed past him, Adir stood on the deck, gazing quietly into the distance.

Behind him, a group of apprentices stood quietly around him, gathered together.

Compared to when Adir first boarded the ship, there were now many more people on board.

Over the course of two months, the ship docked at more than a dozen places, bringing together seven or eight apprentices at each location, and as few as three or four, to fill the ship's apprenticeship.

However, as Andrew had said before, very few of the apprentices who boarded the ship later had excellent qualifications. Out of more than a hundred people, only one apprentice had a third-class qualification and was eventually assigned to be around Adir and the others.

"This is the last place. After we get past this point, it will be a few days before we reach our destination."

Beside Adir, Andrew held a glass of fruit wine and spoke with some excitement.

"Yes, it's almost over," Adir sighed in agreement, without saying anything more.

The scene fell silent for a moment, until a voice rang out again.

"Adir, once you get there, which academy do you plan to join?"

A woman's voice rang in my ears, sounding like a standard greeting, but somewhat stiff.

Adir glanced to the side, where Cisti stood quietly watching him on his right.

The red-haired girl was dressed in a conservative red and white long dress, and her expression was somewhat indifferent and stiff.

In that instant, Adir felt his left hand being patted.

To his left, Andrew gave him a bright smile, with a peculiar meaning, as if he were encouraging something.

"I'm not quite sure yet, is there any particular custom involved?"

Looking at the two people beside him, Adir shook his head with a gentle smile and said.

Seeing his expression, Cisti gave a stiff smile: "Of course."

"Our destination is where wizards live. There are many schools and colleges of wizards there, and they regularly recruit apprentices."

"With your qualifications, Adir, I believe many academies there would be willing to accept you."

Schools of wizards are often brought together by shared beliefs. They are usually passed down from master to apprentice, and their strength varies. Some are strong while others are weak, but they are generally not many in number and do not recruit a large number of apprentices.

The academies, on the other hand, are the real main force. They often develop from a single school of thought or wizarding family, which gathers a large number of wizards and is the main force that recruits a large number of apprentices.

Apprentices like Andrew and Sisti are usually only able to enter these wizarding colleges.

However, apprentices who join in this way are often initially taught by a group of high-ranking wizard apprentices, without a dedicated mentor.

Unless one advances to the rank of advanced apprentice before a certain age, in which case a mentor will take notice and personally teach them, they will have to pay for their own classes at the expense of formal wizards. It now appears that this certificate was kept secret by Count Poria's branch of the family, for the sake of their descendants. They planned to give it to a promising descendant, giving him a greater chance to rise to prominence.

Adir estimated that this certificate should originally have been given to the direct descendants of Count Poria. However, in recent years, there have been too few people with wizarding aptitude in the Fakus family. The only one to appear, Count Poria's eldest son, was said to have not shown much wizarding aptitude, so in the end, Adir had no choice but to give it to him at the last minute.
