League: I really didn't tank!

Chapter 321 I'm not playing anymore, I'm ending the stream!

Chapter 320 I'm not playing anymore, I'm ending the stream!

After Chen Dongqing started his live stream, he didn't do anything. As usual, he first checked out StarCraft and League of Legends, and finding nothing to do, he switched to Dota 2.

Switching between three games and three threads back and forth was giving his teammates a headache.

No matter how many times I watch it, it still seems outrageous.

Each of them struggled to reach the top of the national server, but Chen Dongqing, that bastard, treated LOL as a side job and casually climbed to the top without even touching the number one spot.

And according to this guy, he's also planning to reach the top in DOTA2?

Xiangguo, who was standing nearby, peeked over and asked, "What's your DOTA2 rank?"

After a moment's thought, Chen Dongqing honestly replied, "I really forgot. My score keeps increasing every day, so I can't remember."

"I had actually forgotten about that." Chen Dongqing raised an eyebrow, opened the account information and glanced at it; the score was quite impressive.

7196 points.

Compared to a little over a week ago, Chen Dongqing only gained a little over a thousand points. Chen Dongqing actually felt that this speed was a bit slow, but there was nothing he could do about it.

The main issue is that his current ranking advantage has ended. Now, winning a game only adds 25 points, and with the increased damage output in different tiers, his opponents are also stronger, making it much harder to win than before, significantly slowing down his ranking speed.

(As mentioned by a fellow reader earlier, in 2017, winning a DOTA2 game only awarded 25 points instead of 30. I checked and that's indeed the case, so the previous post has been corrected.)

Chen Dongqing inquired with Lu Wei and found out that it's still possible to trigger score jumps, but only if you perform exceptionally well in the 7,000-point range.

So Chen Dongqing tried to put in more effort tonight to try and score another high score.

Nothing much to say, let's start ranked matches!

Before long, I entered the ranked match.

Unfortunately, when Chen Dongqing went in, he found that the electric dog was still banned.

This is a normal situation for Chen Dongqing playing ranked matches recently.

He usually streams Dota 2 in the evening, so high-ranking players will start banning Arc Warden at that time, which is quite typical.

Even many high-ranking players would open Chen Dongqing's live stream to spy on him and cause him to lose several more matches.

Later, having no other choice, Chen Dongqing had to turn on a 10-second delay and cover up the minimap, and only then did the situation improve.

It can only be said that screen snooping exists everywhere.

Everyone thought Chen Dongqing was a pure electric dog expert, and that banning his electric dog would make him less skilled.

But obviously, that's impossible.

Chen Dongqing isn't just a master of special skills, he's a cheat code user.

System, add points!

Without saying a word, Chen Dongqing locked onto the supplicant and typed, "OK".

Seeing that the ID ilex wanted to play mid lane in the team chat, the other four teammates felt inexplicably at ease and typed "OK".

Because of Chen Dongqing's recent crazy performance in ranked matches, where he brought YYF to the level of Beastmaster, Chen Dongqing is now quite famous in the DOTA2 community.

This is a well-known carry player in the Chinese server recently, dominating the mid lane every game, getting matched with him is a win!

Xie Bin, an unknown DOTA2 streamer, once said something like this: "If you can't even win when you're matched with Ilex, how bad are you?"

Therefore, it's only natural that if Chen Dongqing wants to play mid lane, everyone will automatically give him that position, indicating his very high status.

As for the hero Invoker he chose in this game, there's no need to say more. This is an extremely difficult hero to play, and Chen Dongqing spent a lot of points to level him up to Master.

If you call this hero Invoker, many people might not recognize the name, but if you call him Invoker, everyone will know him, because this hero's special mechanics have made him familiar to some players who don't play Dota 2.

This hero's QWE skills are incredibly simple, ridiculously so.

The first skill, [Ice], summons an ice elemental orb around the hero, each orb increasing the hero's health regeneration effect.

The second skill, [Lightning], summons a lightning elemental orb around the user, each of which grants the hero an attack speed and movement speed bonus.

The third skill, [Fire], summons a fire elemental orb around the user, each of which grants the hero an attack power bonus.

A hero can be surrounded by a maximum of three orbs.

None of the three skills have any active effects; they all apply attribute bonuses to the hero. At first glance, you might ask, "What kind of stupid hero is this? How can you play him without skills?"

But if you take a look at his ultimate move, you'll understand everything.

First, this hero has two extra skill slots, but they are empty; there are no skills in them. The default keys are D and F. (Using the traditional key bindings would be too complicated, so I'll use the new key bindings to explain.)

Then, his ultimate skill is called [Elemental Summoning], which merges the three magic orbs around him and creates a brand new skill that exists in an empty skill slot.

For example, when you press the ultimate skill button, there are three ice element orbs around you. You can combine them to create [Rapid Cooling]. When you use this skill on an enemy, the enemy will take damage and be briefly frozen. In the next few seconds, every time you deal damage, the damage and freeze will be triggered again.

If you activate your ultimate skill and there are two ice monsters and one lightning monster around you, you can use [Ghost Walk], which will make you invisible for 60 seconds.

That's right, this hero is just that flashy.

IceIceIce is [Rapid Cooling], IceIceLightning is [Ghost Walk], IceIceFire is [Wall of Ice], and IceLightningFire is [Super Sonic Wave].

According to the combination, this hero has a total of ten skills!

Seeing this, you can understand the strength and difficulty of this hero.

This orb-based skill mechanism gives this hero extremely high base stats and a very comprehensive skill set.

The difficulty lies in mastering the skills.

Take Chen Dongqing's new key bindings as an example. This hero has a basic combo, which is to first activate invisibility to ensure that you can take the initiative, and then use Wind Blow + Rapid Cooling to blow up the enemy and at the same time cast a meteor to fall from the sky. After the enemy lands, the meteor will hit the ground. The continuous burning damage from the meteor will continuously trigger the control of Rapid Cooling.

Then, if your level is high enough, you can also use a nimble and swift attack. This skill is a buff composed of two lightning bolts and one fire bolt, which increases the target's attack speed and attack power. After buffing yourself, you can then unleash three fireballs (AAA).

The strategy behind this skill combo is actually quite simple: go invisible to initiate, then use a control/damage skill, buff yourself, and then attack. For other heroes, it might just be a matter of pressing QWER and then AAAA to finish them off.

But if you switch to Karl, it becomes QQWRDQQQRQWWRFDWEERDWWERDAAAAA, which adds up to thirty instructions.

Admittedly, this hero is well-rounded and has a high skill ceiling, but the extremely complicated controls are enough to deter most people.

Fortunately, Chen Dongqing is a cheater; skill and hero proficiency are never issues for him.

With countless points invested, Chen Dongqing instantly became a master of Carl, and recent matches have proven that Chen Dongqing's Carl is even more dominant than his electric dog.

As for this game, it was a pure massacre, scoring 25 points in just 24 minutes!

There aren't many top players left in the current Chinese server rankings.

Currently, there are three players with 9,000 MMR in the Chinese server: Paparazi from IG.V, AME from LGD, and Kaka from Newbee.

Fortunately, it is currently the time of TI7, and all three of them happen to be participating team members, so they have already gone to Seattle, USA, and have no time to participate in the ranking competition on the Chinese server.

Therefore, Chen Dongqing can be considered to be "the monkey is king when the tiger is away"—in the absence of these professional guys, he is invincible!

After getting a +25, Chen Dongqing immediately started another ranked match.

Meanwhile, on the Douyu platform, in a familiar live streaming room.

YYF's live stream title remains unchanged from over a week ago, still reading "Reaching 7000".

Actually, it wasn't just this past week; before the Beast King realm appeared, YYF had already spent half a month reaching 7,000 points.

In other words, the title of this live stream has not changed for almost a month.

The 7,000-point mark seemed like an insurmountable chasm, standing in the way of this former world champion, an insurmountable obstacle.

But now, he's just one step away!

YYF, seeing his score reach 6985, excitedly exclaimed, "Brothers, this is it! This one will definitely get us over 7000!"

During the ranked match, YYF glanced at the live chat.

[Brother Feng, stop! Brother Shu is also playing ranked!]

Seeing this comment, YYF felt a sudden jolt. He had just planned to use the excuse of needing to pee to stall for time, but unexpectedly, the confirmation box for the ranked match popped up the next second.

YYF quickly glanced at the IDs of both players, and when he saw that there was indeed someone named "ilex" on the other side, his heart sank.

And it's not over yet.

Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out in the team voice chat: "Feng, don't be afraid, I'm here for you this time. Let's work together to win for Ilex, okay!"

Upon hearing this voice, YYF immediately felt dizzy.

Holy crap, Xie Bin! What's he doing in the team?

In the Dota 2 community, there was a man hailed as the world's number one enigma, LGD's only legend; the day he announced his retirement, the entire Dota 2 scene erupted in excitement, everyone asking, "Who is Xie Bin?"

He was once a professional player and was considered quite skilled. In the TI2 tournament, he played Sand King and once pushed the champions to the brink of defeat.

But that was in the past.

Xie Bin these days is synonymous with being stiff, incompetent, and stupid; his main focus is on creating entertaining content for the show.

As mentioned earlier, he recently made a famous statement: "If you can lose even when you're matched with Brother Tree, how bad are you?"

This is actually a very ordinary sentence, and it shouldn't cause any stir under normal circumstances.

However, Xie Bin's decision to lead a 0-12 team in that game, which forced Chen Dongqing to lose, adds a layer of mystery to this statement.

When YYF saw that Xie Bin was actually on his team, he couldn't help but sigh inwardly that misfortunes never come singly.

However, their lane assignments were a perfect match, with one taking on a level 3 role and the other a level 4 role, and they both taking the same lane.

After thinking for a while, the two chose the mysterious combination of Legion Commander and White Tiger. They chatted quite animatedly, agreeing to gank the mid lane this game.

Legion Commander is arguably one of the most effective heroes at ganking in Dota 2. His ultimate ability is cast on an enemy, forcibly initiating a duel. During the duration of the ability, both heroes are unable to control themselves and can only stand and fight each other.

In other words, this is a simple and straightforward long-term point control technique.

The only drawback is that the skill has a very small range, requiring you to get very close, and Legion Commander doesn't have any mobility skills.

Therefore, if the Legion wants to capture people, it needs to create a key piece of equipment called the Blink Dagger.

This item, also known as the Blink Dagger, allows heroes to teleport 1200 units out of combat. However, it's not cheap, costing 2250 gold, and it takes Legion Commander at least ten minutes to acquire one.

So all YYF and Xie Bin need to do is get their Blink Daggers and then go all out on the mid-lane Invoker!

But will Chen Dongqing give them the chance to pull off a jump knife?

Since acquiring a well-rounded hero like Invoker, Chen Dongqing's playstyle has changed from the self-contained approach of focusing on laning and farming, as seen with his previous playstyle with Arc Warden, to a more rhythm-oriented one.

Aside from his consistent strategy of dominating the mid lane, he will abandon farming jungle camps and instead roam to the side lanes.

From the very beginning of the match, Chen Dongqing recognized that the opponent's offlaner was YYF, and the opponent's position 4 was the guy who had forced him to lose with a 0-12 Legion a few days ago!

With these two as a pair, Chen Dongqing naturally had to give them some special treatment!

This time, the player in the mid lane opposite him seemed to be a professional player from some unknown team. Chen Dongqing didn't know, but he could tell from the player's ID that he looked like a professional player.

But that's not the key point.

As usual, Chen Dongqing used Fireball to increase his attack power with three Fireballs, and then skillfully suppressed the enemy by last-hitting and denying attacks.

This isn't just him bragging; after playing so many ranked games in DOTA2, there are indeed people who can match his skill level, because hero selection has a huge impact. Some people can even slightly outperform him in terms of game sense, because it's related to game experience, which is exactly what Chen Dongqing lacks.

But when it comes to last-hitting, he's never lost!

Medusa on the other side was no match for him either. Chen Dongqing only needed three minutes to successfully suppress the opponent by half a level.

Within four minutes, Chen Dongqing had the magic bottle in hand and skillfully summoned a furnace spirit with QEERD. The main body and the spirit then headed separately towards the upper and lower rune points.

For runes that refresh every four minutes, Invoker, known for his well-rounded skills, naturally has his own way of controlling them. If the rune spawns at the top, he can pick it up directly. If the rune spawns at the bottom, he can control the Lava Sprite to attack it directly (the rune can be destroyed by attacking with the A key).

Luckily, this time the divine rune appeared up there, and it was even a double rune that directly doubled the base attack power.

Without saying a word, Chen Dongqing immediately kowtowed, and then decisively went online to continue suppressing the enemy.

Using the advantage, push the minion wave to the tower first, then quickly cool down and follow up with a super shockwave to easily complete a solo kill under the tower!

On the other side, the combination of YYF and Xie Bin did not perform well in the laning phase.

Their laning phase is incredibly weak; they're being completely pressured by the enemy position 5 Zeus! Forget about getting a Blink Dagger to gank mid; they're even struggling to last-hit minions.

Seeing the mid-laner get solo-killed so quickly was undoubtedly adding insult to injury, and the two of them let out a helpless sigh in unison.

Of course, they didn't realize that their hard times were just around the corner.

In the mid lane, after killing Medusa, Chen Dongqing replenished his health with three stacks of Magic Bottle, and then picked up a newly refreshed Bounty Rune to fully restore his health.

Then he pressed QQW to become invisible and headed straight for the top lane.

In the early game, the opponent won't build true sight wards specifically to guard against Kael's invisibility, which presents Chen Dongqing with an opportunity.

YYF and Xie Bin had just pushed the minion wave back and hadn't even had a chance to catch their breath when they were caught off guard by a sudden gust of cold wind.

Xie Bin escaped using Baihu's movement skill, but YYF wasn't so lucky and was killed on the spot!

"Wow, how can he move so fast!" YYF lamented in the voice chat, "It's only been less than six minutes!"

No one responded to his wailing.

Because his teammates are also suffering.

After killing someone, Chen Dongqing returned to the mid lane and continued to suppress the enemy Medusa.

While he can roam freely, he certainly can't let the enemy Medusa farm like that. Medusa is a well-known late-game carry hero. In the DOTA 1 era, there was a legendary story of a late-game Medusa using the World Tree to turn the tide of a game against five opponents.

Based on this situation, Chen Dongqing stealthily entered the enemy's jungle at 7 minutes and 55 seconds and killed Medusa, who was farming jungle camps, once again.

At eight and a half minutes, Chen Dongqing roamed to the top lane again, seized another good opportunity, and cooperated with his teammates to kill YYF's legion, while Xie Bin's White Tiger escaped again!

The hero Baihu is a well-known hero from the Sword Tomb. His second skill allows him to jump three times in a row, making him impossible to catch. It's reminiscent of Ahri in League of Legends, who can be incredibly annoying to lane against and use her three-stage ultimate to escape even when you get close.

Chen Dongqing squinted at the situation, but wasn't in a hurry.

This white tiger won't be arrogant for long!

In ten minutes, Chen Dongqing produced the Aster.

This is an active item that can silence the target for 5 seconds.

It's aimed at that B White Tiger!

Chen Dongqing didn't even kill Medusa. Instead, he roamed to the top lane, used his invisibility to apply Orchid and Rapid Cooling, and then used Agility and Swiftness to speed up himself. He easily took her down with a few basic attacks!

Back in the mid lane, Chen Dongqing picked up a double damage rune. He waited for his invisibility and Orchid to cool down, and then did the same thing again, killing the enemy Medusa once more!

Unbeknownst to many, Chen Dongqing had already reached a terrifying 6-0 score, single-handedly suppressing the mid lane and the advantage lane to the point of immobility!

This match seems to have become his playground, his backyard.

Across from him, watching YYF's inevitable defeat, and then looking at the Blink Dagger that was still a thousand yuan short, he couldn't help but sigh and look up to the sky.

YYF is the first person to think that surrendering in League of Legends is a really good feature.

How can I win this B game?!

I'm done playing, I'm ending my stream!

See you tomorrow, brothers!
