I find it very sacred to pick someone up and make them a saint.

Chapter 110 A cool summer night, providing a peaceful and carefree sleep.

The group arrived in Reno in the evening.

The meeting between the Imperial Army and the local armies continued until nearly dawn.

Mien and Lucia returned to the house arranged for them in the manor early on.

The servants had originally arranged two rooms for them, but Lucia temporarily moved into Mien's room.

Together they lay out a large map and various books on esoteric life teachings on the huge bed, studying them.

Lucia had taken off her large robe, revealing a pure white iris-patterned dress underneath, making her resemble a pure lily from next door.

She stretched out with a big yawn and collapsed onto the bed next to Mi En, her fair skin between her neck and thighs faintly visible.

Mien glanced at the exhausted Lucia and said with a smile, "Being prepared will keep you from panicking when things happen."

Lucia was no longer the obedient girl she once was; she lazily rolled over:

"Okay."

They verbally agreed, but their bodies did nothing.

Mien smiled helplessly to himself, feeling that it was about time and he could rest early in preparation for tomorrow's battle.

He was about to tell Lucia to go back and rest when there were two knocks at the door.

"Come in."

A servant entered a manor and saw the two people lying on the bed; her expression momentarily flustered.

But they soon realized that the two were simply working hard together to study.

Lucia's girlish heart sensitively sensed the thoughts in that person's eyes, and she immediately blushed and sat up straight, awkwardly adjusting her clothes.

The servant bowed respectfully to the two men and then said:

"Your Excellency, Your Excellency, Duke Flami invites you to a meeting."

Lucia immediately became alert and almost pulled out the Shadow Ritual, thinking that Flami was going to hand them over to be killed.

Mien stroked her head and pressed her down.

"I know, where is it?"

"Sir, it's on the highest hill next to the command post."

"?"

…………

Mien and Lucia took advantage of the night to walk up the mountain in the center of the city.

Even though it was already past midnight, the world below was still brightly lit.

While the soldiers moved around, stationing themselves inside or outside the city, the merchants in the capital also took the opportunity to get busy, greeting them with smiles.

The aroma of food and beer wafted into their noses as the night deepened.

Lucia felt her stomach was empty.

Reaching the top of the hill, they saw a distant flash of light.

Upon closer inspection, it was a campfire, with two enormous figures sitting back to back, looking down at the city-state below and the distant Severn Empire.

Mien and Lucia exchanged a glance and walked over.

The two people in front heard footsteps coming from behind, and Sestan was the first to turn around.

He stared indifferently at Mien and Lucia.

Lucia passed two figures and saw the sizzling meat roasting over the campfire.

Her stomach was taking over her mind, her cheeks flushed, and she kept walking, wanting to get there quickly.

Beside the campfire were seven or eight huge barrels of wine.

Mien calmly met Sestan's gaze.

Sestan's deeply lined face was flushed with drunkenness, and the anger in his eyes softened.

He frowned, as if sighing, and stood up helplessly.

Flammy turned his head, a gruff smile playing on his lips, and said, "You're really leaving?"

The drunkenness had just begun to surface on Sestan's face when he said unwillingly:

"There's still fighting tomorrow, so I won't drink. I'm going back to rest."

"From the time you were born until now, when have you ever abstained from alcohol before a war?"

Sestan didn't argue. He frowned and glanced at Mien and Lucia, his anger still lingering. He ignored them and walked past them.

"Are you really gone?" Flammy shouted.

Sestan ignored him and strode away.

"Chief Milne." Flammy, also a little drunk, greeted Milne with a smile.

Then, as if she had just noticed Lucia, she said, "Oh, and Miss Saintess too."

His smile even carried a hint of kindness.

Mien returned the greeting: "What brings you here so late, Lord City Lord?"

"Of course it's important, involving war secrets!" Flammy said, feigning seriousness, patting the ground beside the campfire. "Come, sit down and talk."

Mien nodded to Lucia, who was practically drooling, and the two sat down around the campfire.

Lucia realized that the flames roasting the meat were not ordinary fire, but a special kind of magic that made the sizzling, oily meat writhe even more enticingly.

"Oh? What is it?"

Before Flami could speak, a gasp suddenly came from behind the three of them:

"Neuer?! What are you doing here?!"

The three turned around and saw Sestan and Neuer walking back together.

Neuer touched his head somewhat awkwardly:

"The Imperial Army has just finished its pre-war meeting, and I have some matters to discuss with Chief Mien and the Holy Maiden."

Hearing that they had come here, I came looking for them...

Sestan looked surprised: "What's your relationship with them? Do you know them?"

Mien sighed: How little he cares about his daughter! He could have known if he had just paid attention to the events in Valgon City.

Neuer nodded: "We met during the Covenant Truth Cult incident. Chief Mien helped me resolve the troubles in my fiefdom, and I should naturally thank him."

"Then what brings you here to see them?"

Neuer's expression hardened slightly. This kind of fatherly meddling in front of everyone made her even more embarrassed, but she still answered politely:

"I have dispatched a portion of the Silvermoon Knights to accompany and protect them during the war, and naturally there are matters to discuss."

"What?!" Sestan was shocked.

"That is my order of knights, Father." Neuer's tone was low, but powerful.

Flammy laughed loudly, "Cestan, now if you still want revenge or to get back at someone, you'll have to go after your daughter!"

"Hmph!" Sestan snorted coldly and said to Neuer, "Elbow, come home with me!"

Neuer immediately snapped, "Why should I go with you? I've already said I have things to discuss with them."

The atmosphere became very tense, with only the crackling sound of the campfire remaining.

The three stunned people had expected to witness a violent conflict.

But unexpectedly, Sestan changed the subject:

"I see. Then I'll stay here with you for now."

Neuer froze on the spot, unable to react.

Flami lowered his head, a slight smile playing on his lips, but refrained from laughing out loud to save face for Sestan.

"Come on, let's get something to eat together. It's late, so a few drinks are just what we need."

He naturally waved to Neuer, defusing the eerie situation.

Sestan sat down next to Flami, while Neuer sat down next to Lucia, far away from her father.

Mien sat in the middle.

The evening breeze on the mountain was cold, but it was quite refreshing for the few superhumans.

A cool summer night provides a peaceful and carefree sleep.

As soon as Sestan sat down, he picked up a large glass of wine, gulped it down, let out a refreshing breath, and avoided Mien's gaze.
