Inherit the estate! Then raise monster girls!
Chapter 33 As an opponent, I acknowledge you.
Unable to even test the waters, they were wiped out and are now running away with their buckets!
I don't have many chapters saved up, so I'll just publish them all.
……
The huge white creature in front of her was definitely the heaviest monster girl Su Lan had ever seen.
Looking at the "portable hovering cart" that kept alarming on the screen, he felt a little sorry for his pockets.
"880.7/700 kg, exceeding the weight limit by 20%, dimensions 2.2m*1.7m, extra long and extra wide."
"Once the loading is confirmed, the hovercar will change shape and consume an additional 50% of energy."
What else can I say? I'm just pretending.
Su Lan sighed. She had gone to so much trouble to recruit them; she couldn't just give up because of a few magic crystals, could she?
He pushed the shell rhythmically.
Front, back, front, back...
The seashell shook more and more violently, and a faint "hmm~" sound could be heard from inside. It was unclear whether Bemira was woken up by the shaking or simply found the rocking bed very comfortable.
But Su Lan couldn't care less about that; otherwise, it simply wouldn't install.
The seashell sways on its own due to inertia.
Su Lan observed for a moment, seized the opportunity, and quickly stuffed the hovering cart, which had already turned into a flat plate, into it!
"Get up!"
He twisted the handle, and the front of the car suddenly lifted up.
The seashell-shaped doll, about the size of a double bed, rolled around once and successfully got onto the stroller.
"That's really hard physical work..."
Su Lan took a breath, wiped her sweat, rested for a moment, and then began the transportation plan.
After walking back for a while, he discovered a problem.
Bemira is as big as a double bed, so she can't go through the tunnel; she has to go on the surface!
That would be a huge risk!
It wasn't that he was worried about being intercepted; the mist emanated from Bemira's shell, so wherever he went, the mist followed. Even if Sean's men came, they would be completely lost.
But that's also where the problem lies; the fog is a double-edged sword.
If the enemy is observant enough, they can deduce his whereabouts from the concentration!
Su Lan stopped at the exit of the alien realm to analyze the pros and cons.
After a moment, he chuckled self-deprecatingly: "After considering so much, do I really have a choice?"
The moment Su Lan accepted Tia, she had already sided with the monster girl. It was only a matter of time before she had to challenge the other forces in the kingdom!
Whether Bemira has other abilities is unknown, but the mist and dumplings alone can greatly enhance his strength, and the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks!
Go outside!
……
On the other side of the foreign land, Sean's guard.
"Commander Loran, the fog seems to have dissipated?" the adjutant asked excitedly.
"That's true, but..." Loran stood at the front of the group, his eyes filled with doubt, "It's not time yet?"
The visible area is clearly expanding, and the fog seems to be dissipating.
"Could it be that the lord succeeded ahead of schedule?" He frowned. "Then why didn't the ritual start, and why haven't evacuation orders been issued?"
As Sean's confidant, he knew the inside story of this operation.
On the surface, they were the main force of the exploration, with five teams entering from various places, converging in the center to search for the target.
In reality, the knights were merely bait to distract the "remnants" in the foreign land; the real force was the Church of the Moon.
"Let's retreat first." Loran took out a specially made compass and was about to activate it.
This compass was provided by the Church of the Moon Goddess. It located a secluded courtyard outside the alien realm and, once activated, can indicate a fixed evacuation route.
However, it has significant limitations; a single misstep can render it ineffective, offering little help in venturing into foreign lands.
"No!" Loran suddenly stopped what she was doing, looked up, and saw a ray of sunlight shining through.
This isn't the fog dissipating; rather, the center is shifting, and they've reached the edge!
"Follow me!" Loran shouted, and charged ahead.
With such a tremendous sound, yet the chains failed to form and the spikes vanished without a trace, he became even more certain of his judgment.
Loran led his team to charge into the thick fog, and soon they spotted a blurry figure.
The figure was pushing a huge white rock as it ran, and the mist seemed to have no effect on it at all!
"Stop right there!" Loran shouted, and without caring whether it would work, he unleashed his full magical power, condensing a blade of light that slashed at the figure.
Su Lan noticed the commotion behind him, but he remained completely calm.
After leaving the alien realm, although the concentration of the mist decreased significantly, actively manipulating it to concentrate it still had a strong effect.
"Mist, stop him!" The assimilation ability was activated instantly, and at the same time, a barrier spread out.
The light blade pierced through the mist, struck the barrier, and shattered into tiny specks of light.
Su Lan felt dizzy as her mental energy was instantly depleted by one-third.
Fortunately, the fog had already gathered behind him.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Loran suddenly turn and frantically circle around in place.
A third-tier knight is quite formidable; Su Lan thinks it's best to avoid direct confrontations in the future.
Loran watched helplessly as Su Lan's figure receded into the distance, unable to catch up, feeling utterly frustrated.
He chased after them for a while, refusing to believe it, when suddenly a commotion arose around him. He looked around and saw that his five teams of men had gathered there.
"We can't catch up."
Loran sighed, stopped, and looked at the mysterious man at the end of the group, carrying a coffin and wearing a hood.
"Lord Samir," he greeted him, "this direction leads to Baron Su Lan's territory. We have set up multiple layers of defense there, so he won't run too fast. If you go after him, you might still be able to catch up."
"No need." Samir shook his head, offered no further explanation, and waved for the guards to return.
"It's good that the bereaved family has left. Time is of the essence, so let's not waste time on unimportant things and finish the arrangements as soon as possible."
He raised his head and looked toward Black Reef Fjord, his gaze seemingly piercing through the mist.
"You've beaten me twice. You truly are worthy of being my lord. I acknowledge you." A smile appeared on Samir's lips.
"Let's make contact after we're done with this."
……
After a perilous journey, Su Lan managed to avoid numerous obstacles and finally returned to her own territory.
After parking Bemira outside, Su Lan returned home alone and pushed open Tia's door.
"Get up and help me dig the hole! I've found you a partner!"
"Su Lan, you're back! I just fell asleep..." Tia rubbed her eyes. "What companion? Is Sister Seraya here?"
"It's already dawn and you're still sleeping!" Su Lan grabbed Tia: "A big seashell, I just brought it back from another world, and I left it outside."
"Huh?" Tia snapped back to reality, her voice filled with panic. "You went to another realm? Why didn't you take me with you? It's so dangerous! Are you alright?"
She jumped out of bed, checked Su Lan several times, and finally felt relieved: "It's good that you're not hurt. You have to take me with you next time, okay!"
"Okay, okay, I got it, I'll do it next time."
Su Lan felt Tia's concern, but couldn't explain why the will only allowed him to go alone, so he could only pat her head:
"Help me get her to Changning Fjord. The fog is so thick there, it'll flood the town in a bit."
Tia nodded, quickly finished packing, and followed Su Lan to the outskirts of town.
Bemira had woken up sometime earlier and was peeking out through a crack in the door.
Upon seeing Su Lan, she waved her hand, then quickly withdrew it, watching Tia warily.
"This is Tia, my assistant, and this is Bemira, who will be in charge of Changning Fjord from now on," Su Lan introduced them.
"Don't be so formal, we're all companions!" Tia showed great enthusiasm, running over to greet them and then tapping on the seashell.
"Bermira, your shell is so hard! Can I try to make a hole in it?"
"No, no..." Bemira slammed the case shut. "I'm going to sleep, don't bang on my door!"
