The Silent Bookstore Manager at Hogwarts

Chapter 87 The Wild Hunt's Parade

That day, all the French people witnessed a spectacle, a spectacle that made them think they had gone mad or were still living in Christmas, especially the young wizards at Spadden School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They pointed to the sky and called out to their parents that it was a scene that should only exist in dreams, a fantastical scene that was impossible to look away from.

"Dumbledore...do you really think that's something two junior wizards could have done?"

Professor McGonagall looked at the sky and muttered to herself that they were too late. By the time they arrived in Strasbourg, the train carrying Red and Harry had already gone quite a distance, and they would have to ride flying broomsticks to catch up.

"Only those two children could have such a beautiful imagination..." Dumbledore looked up at the sky, his expression strange and unpredictable. The French Minister of Magic beside him also wisely shut his mouth. He looked up at the sky, and the train flying in the sky evoked his childhood memories. He didn't know why, but he felt like he remembered a lot of things.

Under the clear night sky and the bright moon, a train was speeding towards the sky. To the people who had arrived in Strasbourg, it even seemed to pass straight through the moon, like a bird wanting to spread its wings and fly into the unrestrained sky. It was a scene that should only exist in fairy tales. A train traveling in the air seemed to be a train about to head into the universe.

"I hope you Aurors can help deal with the Death Eaters here first, and then I will board that train to find the two children."

Dumbledore immediately turned to the Minister of Magic behind him and said that the Death Eaters gathered in Strasbourg had begun to vent their anger on the locals and rob them of their property. The Aurors had no objection to this, and they immediately dispersed into groups to attack and capture the Death Eaters.

Dumbledore dusted off his robes, looked solemnly at the train, and waved his wand, but nothing happened.

"I see... They are truly amazing children."

Dumbledore muttered to himself, his Apparition had failed. He knew that even if he recited the incantation instead of using silent spells, the result would be the same. The train was no longer just a train; the land was responding to its invitation.

"What a pity, it seems I wasn't invited to such a grand event!"

"In fact, it is not this land that is responding to the train, but the people this land bears—from those who shed their sweat and blood on this land a thousand years ago to defend their homeland, to the souls who lie here after death and have not entered the afterlife—their wills have answered our invitation..."

Red said solemnly to Harry.

"Harry, we must respect their sacrifice, respect their wishes... Do you understand what I mean?"

Harry Potter had never felt such a heavy responsibility. He nodded silently. Old Andre, now dressed in the conductor's uniform, appeared in their carriage. He glared at the Death Eater as if he were about to tear them apart.

"The train can start running now, following the final confirmed track."

"Where are you going?! Where are you going?! Are you all crazy?!"

Igor Karkaroff screamed. He saw three madmen. This train couldn't possibly run for long. Even Dumbledore couldn't sustain it for long. He had to get out of here before it crashed and everyone died. He wanted to live.

However, he could not do it. Dozens of rifles were firmly pointed at this pitiful Death Eater. Those transparent ghosts, some wearing iron helmets and modern military uniforms, others dressed in wizard robes and holding magic wands, these endless streams of souls had already set their sights on him, the only living Death Eater on the train.

"We have come at the call of our duty; we will fight the invaders to the last breath!"

Harry stared blankly at the ground, where one sleeping soul after another crawled out and flew towards the train that was flying through the sky like birds soaring into the air, joining the battle.

"Wait...wait...you can't just kill me like this! Yes...you should hand me over to the Ministry of Magic. I have a lot to say. I need to talk to the Aurors..."

Before Igor could finish speaking, he was struck on the knees by a rifle butt and could no longer utter a word. The soldiers had no intention of listening to him; they turned to look at the child, the English child who had called them from their slumber. Where he came from was unimportant; what mattered most was what he was going to do next.

"So... you admit you're a Death Eater? You admit you did those things, right?"

Before Harry could speak, Red interrupted, saying that there were some things he should do.

"I...I..."

As Igor watched the bayonets and gun barrels draw ever closer, he trembled, unable to utter a single word.

"Throw him down, just like that. If he lives, he's lucky to be alive and can go see the Ministry of Magic. If he dies, he deserves it."

Red had no reason to listen to the Death Eater's excuses anymore. The two soldiers simply threw Igor, who couldn't even speak, out of the train window, making him the only unlucky guy to freefall from the train. Of course, Red knew that this guy wouldn't die just like that; there were others waiting for him down below, and Dumbledore would arrange everything.

"Ladies and gentlemen... I want to thank you for your trust."

Harry began to speak. He hadn't prepared any speech; he simply opened his mouth as wide as he could, relying on his feelings and emotions.

"Our homeland is being ravaged by these wicked dark wizards. Not just my homeland, but also the homes and families you all risked your lives to protect. Their targets are not any one person or any group of people; they want to ride roughshod over all of us. They want to turn us back into slaves, to make us their slaves after we have given them all our blood and sweat, and then to make us their toys!!!"

There was no sound; the entire train was quiet except for Harry's words.

"In the past, we fought against nobles, against invaders who invaded our homes, against bandits and thieves. But now... we face a far more mysterious and ancient force!! Now... we have the ability and the courage to be their enemy. I implore you all to join me in driving them out of this land, and even out of this world!!"

Harry shouted, raising his hand. In response, all the ghosts raised their weapons or wands. Still, no one made a sound except Harry, but the silence said it all.
