The Silent Bookstore Manager at Hogwarts

Chapter 36 A Wonderful Story

Red lost fifty points for his rude remarks, but he didn't care much about it, because it was obvious that Dumbledore had something to talk to him about later, and the old man wouldn't let him suffer a loss.

Snape was thoroughly exasperated by Harry and Red tonight, but in the end, all he could do was look at the troll's corpse and helplessly leave Harry with two completely ineffective harsh words before flicking his cloak and leaving Professor McGonagall staring at them sternly.

Then McGonagall suddenly realized that Harry was clearly still a little guilty. At least when facing her again, Harry was very obedient and admitted his mistake, and even said that he would definitely not do it again, which was completely different from his cold expression when facing Snape.

"It's truly unbelievable... Two young wizards, with only the Glowing Charm and the Transfiguration Charm, managed to kill a giant monster, even killing it with a single blow..."

Professor Flitwick immediately began to observe the battlefield. The troll's completely pierced eyes and its shattered brain explained its cause of death. It was precisely because of this that Professor Flitwick made such a remark. This troll didn't even have any extra external wounds. It was only because of this one attack that pierced through its eyelid that it met its demise.

He looked at Harry, whose arms were still trembling. It wasn't excitement or nervousness, but rather a physical reaction to excessive physical exertion.

"Alright, alright, keeping them here isn't a solution. Let's send the little ones home first; they did something quite remarkable today."

Dumbledore concluded by winking innocently at Red, but Red had no intention of believing the old man's expression, and he had many things he wanted to discuss with Dumbledore.

"Little Red, you must have a lot of questions to ask."

Fifteen minutes later, the three young wizards from Gryffindor had practically been escorted back to their dormitories by Professor McGonagall, while Red arrived at the headmaster's office.

"That's right, Headmaster. Although I think you're a very nice person, sometimes I really wonder if you might be Voldemort's accomplice, making a first-year wizard face a troll."

Red chuckled. He didn't care about the so-called Voldemort's curse at all. In fact, when he said the name, he didn't feel that his soul was cursed or targeted. As for why he said that about Dumbledore, the reason was simple: if Dumbledore wanted to, he could have killed the troll before Hermione was discovered. But in the end, Dumbledore witnessed Harry killing the troll and even gave Harry enough time to adjust.

"Ah, about this matter..." Dumbledore fell into a long silence.

"You're thinking about prophecy, aren't you?"

Reid spoke again, looking at the photos of past principals. The people in the photos seemed to be curiously observing Reid as well.

"Yes, Red, in fact, I'm not even sure yet whether Tom will really come back to life... There are many things I can't tell you directly, Red... just like you have little secrets you can't tell me."

Dumbledore sighed, looking like a sorrowful old man, as he grabbed a handful of candies from his candy bowl and popped them into his mouth one by one.

"I just hope you can at least care about the students' safety. Well, actually I don't think Harry is in any danger. If the power of the commandments given by the Colonel can't even beat that brainless monster, then Harry should really turn to magic."

Red stretched his limbs. He was still an eleven-year-old boy, only a boy who knew a lot.

Dumbledore remembered the name "Colonel," but he wouldn't ask about it, just as Red would never ask him about his secrets.

"Alright, it's getting late, I should go back to sleep too. Harry might need some time to recover. The doctors don't think he's doing very well right now, but I assure you he's perfectly healthy."

Red glanced at the clock hanging in the headmaster's office and looked somewhat tired as he spoke. Dumbledore thought for a moment, and finally said something just as Red was about to leave.

"If you really want to read certain books, you can come to me for permission. There's no need to go to the restricted book section by yourself; it's a bit dangerous there."

Red didn't reply, so Dumbledore watched Red leave the headmaster's office. Harry's change was not actually in Dumbledore's plan. Even if he wanted to cultivate a savior, Dumbledore never thought of letting a first-year wizard face a troll alone. In fact, when Harry actually did it, he was very nervous.

Harry's growth did surprise Dumbledore, but he also sensed a hint of unease...

Silence continued to spread in the headmaster's office; Dumbledore was destined to suffer from insomnia again tonight.

Harry wasn't in much better shape. He felt like his brain was a mess. There were so many things he should know and could learn, but he was stuck because he didn't have enough knowledge. This feeling was incredibly frustrating. But now, after the outburst, his exhausted body could only lie in bed and rest, which made him feel helpless.

Ron, who was next to Harry, had fallen asleep quite early. Even in his sleep, he kept muttering things like, "You're so cool, Harry," which made Harry feel a little embarrassed. He really felt that he had only performed at his usual level.

Of course, the biggest problem isn't here, but how he'll explain tomorrow that Gryffindor lost a hundred points because of his actions.

Red went straight back to his dormitory. Prefect Cedric didn't notice that one person was missing from the Hufflepuff dormitory, so he went unnoticed along the way. He even had a late-night snack with a few Hufflepuffs who had sneaked into the kitchen for a late-night meal before returning to his comfortable bed.

"At least Harry's fists are strong enough now..." Reed sighed, then drifted off to sleep. The teachers would handle the rest; he just needed to live his life in peace.

But to his utter surprise, the very next day he heard some unbelievable rumors.

"What does it mean for Harry to be a savior? With the help of Ron the Knight and Red the Wizard, he successfully defeated the troll and then saved Hermione the village girl..."

Red was speechless. No matter how you looked at it, there was probably only one person who could have made up this story.
