Full-Time Magister: My Little Furnace Refines All Things

Chapter 1 The Opening of Magic High School

"Brother Mo, hurry up! We're going to be late! Being late on the first day of school is terrible!" Zhang Xiaohou, with his dark skin, shouted from outside the door.

"They're here, they're here."

A boy in a sky-blue fitted school uniform stepped forward in response to the call. He was tall and straight, with striking features. His looks were comparable to the handsome Du Zhe from the technologically advanced world.

"Let's go, Xiao Hou." Zhang Mo, carrying his schoolbag on one arm, walked briskly towards the school with his cousin Zhang Xiao Hou.

Sixteen years ago.

The Technology Dimension.

Zhang Mo, a college student with clear eyes, was strolling along the antique street in the university town.

The bustling antique street was teeming with people, filled with the shouts of vendors and the sounds of customers haggling.

Zhang Mo wandered around the street for a while before finally stopping at an inconspicuous stall on the corner. The stall owner was an uncle wearing a gray cloth jacket, leaning back in a bamboo chair with his eyes half-closed, an enamel tea mug beside him, and he wasn't very enthusiastic about the customers coming and going.

He crouched down, his gaze sweeping over the dazzling array of broken and tattered items, finally settling on a small, thumb-sized green stove. Though small, the stove was exquisitely crafted, with two indistinct characters on its rustic exterior.

"Uncle, how much is this little stove pendant? I'll take it if you give me a discount," Zhang Mo asked.

The stall owner slowly opened his eyes, glanced at the small stove, looked at Zhang Mo twice, and said with a grin, "Young man, this stove of mine belongs to my great-great-great-great-grandfather who was a high-ranking official in the Ming Dynasty..."

"Stop, stop, stop, uncle. Do I look like a rich man? My net worth is not worthy of your story!" Zhang Mo rolled his eyes and quickly interrupted.

"Hehe, little kid, I won't tell you, I won't tell you." The uncle grinned without any embarrassment.

"Since you're so keen on wanting it, I'll just give you 100 as a token."

"50, I'll take it. It's almost the middle of the month and I'm running out of living expenses. If it's okay, great; if not, I'm leaving," Zhang Mo said resolutely when negotiating.

"Hmm... alright then, this is some good stuff, young man you've hit the jackpot, here's 50." The uncle waved his hand, feigning reluctance.

Zhang Mo picked up the small stove, wiped it slightly with his clothes, went to the roadside stall of an old woman selling red ropes, bought one, strung it together, and hung it around his neck.

Touching the pendant on his chest, Zhang Mo followed the flow of people out of the street and walked across the road.

When the green light came on, he stepped onto the zebra crossing.

Suddenly, a hurried running sound swept past my side—a little girl, exquisitely beautiful, had somehow broken free from her adult's hand, clutching her teddy bear, and stumbled towards the middle of the road.

On the right corner, a heavy truck was blaring its horn.

The driver, noticing the little girl stopped in the middle of the road, quickly stepped on the brakes and tried to stop the car.

The sudden stop of the tires caused a teeth-grinding squeaking sound as they violently rubbed against the ground.

However, the inertia caused by the enormous weight of the truck and its cargo still relentlessly drove it towards the little girl.

The child's parents were a step too late to realize what was happening and were stunned into standing there.

An overwhelming terror enveloped her, making her weak all over. She tried to speak, but her voice was hoarse, and passersby also screamed.

At the critical moment, Zhang Mo almost instinctively lunged forward.

He grabbed the little girl tightly in his arms and pushed her aside with all his might.

The next second, a violent impact slammed into his back.

His body was thrown through the air like a rag doll, tumbling countless times. His remaining consciousness began to replay in his mind—he had lived in an orphanage since he could remember. He had received government funding to attend school, and whenever he saw his classmates skipping and jumping home with their parents after school, he felt a disconnect between them and his own world. The world was warm, but he was lonely and cold.

After that, Zhang Mo went to school as usual and entered an ordinary university with average grades. He will most likely continue to have an ordinary job and live a miserable 007-like life.

"Damn it, what a lousy life this is!" Zhang Mo felt more and more upset as he thought about it.

He had never experienced being cherished, and in his final moments, he entrusted the hope of life to this little girl. "I hope she can have a wonderful life, unlike me."

Consciousness faded, and all was silent.

Magical plane.

Bocheng First Hospital.

A baby boy named Zhang Mo was born. The nurse patted Zhang Mo's back, and he immediately let out a loud cry.

The nurse wrapped Zhang Mo up tightly in a thermal blanket and gently placed him next to his mother.

Zhang Mo slowly opened his eyes. The pristine white VIP ward was filled with the faint smell of disinfectant. The beautiful lady lying next to him was looking at him tenderly, treating him like a precious treasure.

Suddenly, Zhang Zhengguo, with his rugged appearance, pushed open the door and entered: "Ting'er, you've had a hard time." He walked to the bedside and gently brushed Zhang's mother Su Ting's hair behind her ear.

Then he looked at me with loving eyes, picked me up with his strong arms, and said softly, "Wife, Mo'er looks just like you. You are a great beauty. My son will definitely be a handsome young man in the future!" Zhang Zhengguo grinned.

Ten years later.

Zhang Mo returned home from the magic elementary school. As he reached his front door, he heard what sounded like strangers talking inside. He pushed open the door and asked, "Dad, Mom, are we having guests?"

Upon entering the house, he was struck by the stark contrast of his parents' memorial tablets placed on the living room cabinet. Two white candles burned silently before them, their faint light illuminating the portraits of the elderly couple. His father's resolute gaze and his mother's gentle smile became eternal images in his heart. Overwhelmed by grief, he was suffocated.

Hot tears streamed down Zhang Mo's face as he sobbed uncontrollably.

"Xiao Mo, if you feel sad, just cry it out. Your uncle and aunt are here." His aunt walked over and hugged him, and his uncle's eyes were also red.

After a while, the middle-aged man in military uniform with a stubble on his face, who had been facing the memorial tablet, turned around and walked over.

"Zhang Mo, your parents were ambushed and killed by a general-level demon while on military patrol. They were heroes who protected Bo City."

"If you encounter any difficulties in the future, you can contact me. The military will be your strongest support. Also, my name is Zhan Kong." Zhan Kong patted Zhang Mo on the shoulder and said, then turned and left.

After packing his luggage with the help of his aunt and uncle, Zhang Mo knelt down before his parents' memorial tablets, kowtowed three times, and then went home with his aunt and uncle.

Five years later.

"Xiao Mo, stay here with your uncle and aunt. Xiao Hou will keep you company here." Aunt said to Zhang Mo with reluctance.

"It's alright, Auntie, I can take care of myself, don't worry," Zhang Mo said patiently.

"Okay, high school is about to start, so take good care of yourself if you live alone," Auntie reminded her again.

"Brother Mo, I'll come find you to go to school together from now on. Hehe." Zhang Xiaohou stood aside waving his hand and grinning foolishly without a care in the world.

Gradually coming to my senses, I was almost at school.

The entrance to Tianlan Magic High School.

Boys and girls in school uniforms chattered as they entered in groups.

"Brother Fan, over here." Xiao Hou waved to a handsome young man with short black hair not far away.

Zhang Mo looked in the direction of the voice and said, "Hey Mo Fan, your eyes are practically popping out of your head! Can't you tone it down a bit? It's embarrassing for others to know I know you!"

Seeing Mo Fan staring intently at the long, white legs under the female classmates' skirts, even though some female classmates noticed Mo Fan's gaze and gave him a look of disgust, Mo Fan remained oblivious. Zhang Mo couldn't help but marvel at how thick-skinned Mo Fan was.

"Little Mozi, I'm just getting familiar with the campus, don't slander me." Mo Fan said this nonsense with a straight face.

Never mind, ever since he moved to Xiao Hou's house, and was introduced to this dog Fan by Xiao Hou, he's always looked like this, and he doesn't seem to have changed at all. Now, looking at him gives me a feeling of a father looking at his son.

"Brother Fan, Brother Mo, I just saw that we're in the same class! That's great, we can go to and from get out of class together from now on," Zhang Xiaohou said excitedly, hooking his arm around one of them.
