Mikel followed Adi's lead and said, "Go ahead and tell me, I'll listen."

"Six years ago, Nagamachi Star Zoo." Adi said slowly, uttering a time and place name, his eyes fixed on Mikel's reaction.

Mikel frowned in deep thought, his mind quickly recalling that he had indeed visited a Star Beast Garden six years ago. The scene he witnessed there that day was far too bloody; he would never forget it.

Mikel snapped out of his thoughts and looked deeply at Adi, saying, "You're the female insect brother from the family of four that had the accident."

"Yes, it's me."

Mikel didn't understand: "But why?"

What does Adidas's actions have to do with what happened six years ago?

Why?

He actually had the nerve to ask why?!

Mikel showed not a trace of remorse, which thoroughly enraged Adi. He sprang up, his bloodied hand bracing against the wall, his sinister eyes blazing with fury: "You killed my brother, drove my father-in-law to suicide, broke my father-in-law's leg, and destroyed my home! And you dare ask why?"

Six years ago, Adi's male and female parents took him and his five-year-old male insect brother to the Star Beast Park.

What should have been a happy and normal outing for the family of four turned into an accident.

Before Adi and his female father went to the toilet, the male father and his younger brother were watching the Blood Eater with great interest. Five minutes later, when Adi and his female father returned, they learned that the younger brother had been devoured by the Blood Eater, and the male father had also lost a leg to the Blood Eater while protecting his brother.

The father said that Mikel had kicked his younger brother a few times because the brother was crying and making a fuss at the door, and he held a grudge and pushed them off the fence when they weren't looking.

The male mate was gone, and the female parent, devastated by the loss of her male offspring, soon committed suicide. The male parent had his right leg amputated below the knee, and from then on, his personality changed drastically; he became irritable and easily angered.

His home was destroyed, while Mikel, because he had the backing of a mountain, only had to pay some compensation, was released after being locked up for a few days, and received no punishment whatsoever.

After hearing Adi's story, Mikel's expression turned strange: "Did your father tell you that I pushed them down there?"

"What, a general of the K2 Legion dares to do something but not admit it?"

Mikel scoffed, "I didn't do it in the first place, why should I claim responsibility?"

He continued, "Putting everything else aside, just consider this: after harming the male insects, how is it possible that I'm still alive and well? What makes you think those lunatics in the Male Protection Association would let me go?"

Given the Imperial Male Protection Society's obsessive protectiveness towards male insects, any female insect who offends a male insect will suffer severe consequences, if not death. Let alone the death of a young male and the loss of a male insect's leg—such a serious incident. If he truly did it, even the Insect God couldn't save him.

"What do you mean?" Adi's bloodied hand, braced against the wall, tightened, revealing five bloody finger marks. His wide eyes were bloodshot, and he roared in disbelief, "My father wouldn't lie to me! My father wouldn't lie to me! I don't believe it!"

The male father said: It was Mikel who pushed us; he killed your male brother.

The male father said: Mikel has powerful backers, I'm just a B-grade male insect, will the male protection agency care?

The father said: They destroyed the surveillance footage. We can't fight them, Adi. Let's move.

Finally, the male father said: "Adi, your female father misses your brother so much that he has gone to find him."

Adi's mind went blank as his father's words echoed in his ears. He kept muttering, "No! No! My father wouldn't lie to me!"

What reason would the father have to lie to him? Why?

Having been brainwashed by his father for so long, many things that had been puzzling to Adi suddenly became clear. Yes, if Mikel had truly killed the male insect, he wouldn't still be alive. Therefore, the most likely explanation is that Mikel wasn't lying; it was his father who lied.

The truth was exposed abruptly, but it was too late. Adi's father's lies led to the death of Adi's mother and left Adi with six years of hatred. Now, he has not only sought revenge on the wrong person but has also gotten himself into trouble.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Adi's head slammed against the wall repeatedly, his eyes filled with a crazed and obsessive gaze, and he grinned widely.

"Ha ha ha ha!"

He seemed to feel no pain; his forehead slammed heavily against the wall, quickly staining it red. Blood trickled down his forehead, past his eyes and nose, down his chin, and finally flowed down his neck into his clothes, mixing with the blood that had been there earlier.

Mikel soon heard hurried footsteps behind him, and two female insects on duty rushed over. They opened the door, went in, and injected Adi with a drug, causing Adi's body to go limp.

Elijah was chatting with a female soldier outside the prison, and he looked indignant about something they were talking about.

Before he could say anything more, he caught a glimpse of the general approaching, who looked clearly preoccupied. Elijah's heart immediately skipped a beat. He composed himself, waved to the female officer he was chatting with, and went to greet him.

After playing several rounds of the game, Cheng Chu started to get bored and didn't want to play anymore.

The computer was still on the game victory screen, while Cheng Chu leaned on the back of the sofa in the living room, his gaze fixed on the view outside the floor-to-ceiling window.

The light rain outside was still falling incessantly, its intermittent drizzle causing annoyance.

Cheng Chu started trying to chat with the robot: "0123, when will this rain stop?"

0123 replied: "Your Majesty, the weather forecast indicates that the rain will stop in five hours."

Cheng Chu: "0123, how much longer until the Female Lord returns home?"

0123: "Your Excellency, the General expects to finish work and go home in six hours and twenty minutes."

"Ah..." Cheng Chu looked up at the ceiling, then suddenly remembered something. He pointed to the corner of the hall and asked, "0123, what's that dark place over there?"

There was a passageway in a corner of the hall, and Cheng Chu once went over to peek out out of curiosity. It was a long, dark corridor, and by the light of the hall, he could vaguely see a metal door at the end of the corridor.

He hadn't seen Mikel go there, nor did he seem to have seen 0123 or any of the other robots in the house go there. He had wanted to ask Mikel before, but Mikel was too busy, and he forgot to ask.

0123 replied: "Your Majesty, that is the punishment room."
