Mikel had just finished a conversation with Elijah in his study. Although Mikel was on vacation, he couldn't really just ignore everything.

Elijah was responsible for communicating with Mikel every three days during his leave, reporting on matters concerning the General Staff.

Elijah dutifully reported the recent major events in the military to Mikel. Finally, Mikel informed Elijah that a mental test would be scheduled for him the next day.

Since marrying Cheng Chu, Mikel felt his mental state becoming increasingly calm. Mikel's rank of general was earned through his own hard work on the battlefield; he had participated in countless battles, large and small. On the battlefield, mental strain was inevitable, initially only minor injuries, which Mikel overcame.

Two years ago, Mikel suffered his most severe mental injury. This injury was almost devastating, and he was no longer allowed to go to the front lines. Marshal Anas immediately suppressed news of Mikel's severe mental injury and used this as an excuse to prevent Mikel from going to the front lines, instead transferring him to guard the security of the capital.

Protecting the capital sounds important. But everyone knows this position offers little future. There are few opportunities to earn military merit in the capital; it's earned on the battlefield, and higher merit leads to faster promotions. When Marshal Anaos transferred Mikel to this position, everyone in the insect world watched with amusement.

They didn't understand what had happened, only assuming that Marshal Anas had abandoned Mikel.

In fact, Marshal Anaos knew that Mikel didn't want to leave the military, so he transferred Mikel away from the military. He secretly found a suitable male insect for Mikel, solely to help Mikel's mental state recover, after which he would transfer him back to the military.

Perhaps this is fate.

Fate brought him to this male insect.

Mikel stood with his hands in his pockets in front of the French windows, his gaze quietly overlooking the garden. In one corner of the garden, a male insect squatted down, watering the plants with a sprinkler. 0123 followed behind him.

Suddenly, the male insect almost collapsed to the ground, his expression shifting from shock to disbelief, and finally to excited cheers. He pointed to the wet ground for 0123 to see, muttering something unintelligible.

Then, the male insect excitedly ran back, shouting something as it ran.

Soon, Mikel knew what the male insect was shouting.

"Female Lord, Female Lord..."

There was a knock on the study door, and the male insect's excited voice came from behind the quiet door.

Mikel strode open the door. "What is it, Lord?"

Cheng Chu smiled happily. He had run so fast that fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead and nose. His cheeks were slightly flushed from exercise, and his chest rose and fell gently.

"Queen, look!"

Cheng Chu took Mikel's hand and led him toward the garden.

Mikel obediently followed the male insect's pull and was led along. Halfway there, they encountered 0123 returning, and 0123 turned around and followed them back to the garden.

"Queen, look, this bud."

Cheng Chu pulled Mikel down to squat down, pointing triumphantly at the two tiny sprouts in the soil.

The buds are small, but their tender green tips stand out against the brown soil.

It really sprouted.

Mikel was astonished that the seeds the male had casually planted actually sprouted. The Zerg's land was severely polluted; nothing could grow without treatment. He had only bought seeds for the male, not planting soil, because he had always assumed it was just a whim. So he let the male plant the seeds in the garden without saying a word. He planned to comfort the male after he discovered he couldn't grow them.

But Mikel never expected that when Cheng Chu planted the seeds in the garden, they actually sprouted five days later.

"The master is truly amazing; it actually sprouted, and there are two sprouts at that," Mikel praised Cheng Chu.

"Hehehe..."

Cheng Chu smiled broadly.

Cheng Chu was flattered by the praise, but looked a little embarrassed. He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from the tip of his nose, then lowered his head and picked at the dirt on the ground with his fingers.

Mikel carefully examined the two buds that had just emerged from the soil and marveled at how amazing they were.

The experts at the research institute go through countless hardships to get a seed to germinate and survive. From selecting strong seeds to the planting soil, temperature, and humidity, and finally whether the seed is even willing to germinate, the process is fraught with difficulties, and most attempts end in failure. Yet, his master simply made a seed germinate in the garden so casually!

This sounds unbelievable. If the experts at the research institute heard this, how would they feel?

But perhaps it was a matter of luck; maybe his powerful lord was just lucky.

"That's amazing! The ruler is truly wonderful!"

Mikel noticed that the male insect had dirt on its nose, which must have been accidentally picked up when it wiped its sweat.

"My lord, please don't move." Mikel took out a silk handkerchief from his pocket. "Let me wipe your sweat."

Mikel gently wiped the sweat from the male insect's forehead and cheeks, and finally wiped the dirt from its nose.

Cheng Chuyi froze instantly. Mikel had been leaning close for a long time; he could even smell the fragrance emanating from him. Feeling the gentleness in Mikel's wiping movements, his heart inexplicably began to race. A blush quickly crept onto his cheeks, which Mikel, so close to him, could see clearly.

Visibly, the male insect's face turned red and warm in an instant.

"Master, are you hot? Why is your face so red?" Mikel said, pressing the back of his hand against the male insect's cheek.

"No...it's not hot." Cheng Chu shook his head, unconsciously dodging Mikel's hand, his voice stammering.

Although they are married and sleep together every night.

Strangely, Mikel was only proactive in bed at night. During the day, however, Mikel wouldn't have any intimate physical contact with Cheng Chu. Although Mikel was very kind to him, he was too attentive, which gave Cheng Chu a strange feeling.

"My lady, I—" want to give you the first flower I've grown.

Cheng Chu mustered up her courage to speak, but her voice was a little soft and was suddenly drowned out by Mikel's voice.

"Then let's go back, my lord." Mikel put away his handkerchief and stood up.

Seeing that the male insect's face was so red, Mikel worried that it might get too hot and suggested going back.

The male insect had interrupted itself, a very impolite act. Jue Mikel asked, "Hmm? What did the male say?"

Cheng Chu also stood up. "No...it's nothing. Let's go back."

Cheng Chu followed Mikel, the two of them walking one after the other, leaving the garden and heading into the house.

The words Cheng Chu was about to say were interrupted, and he couldn't say anything more.

Cheng Chu's excitement cooled down, and the temperature on his face gradually returned to normal.
