When Mikel arrived at the nearest scene of the incident, the female soldiers who had received the orders had already arrived.

The top floor of the 100-story commercial building was destroyed by the bomb, and a corner collapsed. The fire gradually spread to the floors below.

A large number of female soldiers were orderly evacuating the crowd from the scene, some of whom were responsible for controlling the fire and others for checking for dangers.

The commander sent over here was a major general from the K2 Legion. As soon as he turned his head and saw Mikel coming over, he immediately stepped forward, stood at attention, and saluted.

"General Mikel."

Mikel nodded slightly and asked as he entered the scene, "How is it going now?"

The major general reported in detail: "General, an explosion occurred on the top floor of the commercial building at 10:33 AM today. Apart from two male insects sustaining minor abrasions, there were no civilian casualties. Our team quickly arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. The public has been evacuated, and the fire is under control. The site is currently cordoned off, and we are investigating the suspects and the cause of the explosion. We suggest sending additional criminal investigation personnel to the scene for further investigation. Are further instructions required?"

Mikel stopped in his tracks, keenly sensing something was wrong. He glanced around at the mess within the police cordon, frowning. "Not a single casualty?" he asked.

It's no wonder Mikel asked that question. How could such a massive explosion in a densely populated commercial building result in no casualties?

Is this reasonable?

"Yes, General." The Major General had initially doubted this as well, but he continued, "The epicenter of the explosion was on the top floor. This building has ninety-nine floors in total, and the top five floors are a VIP area, not normally open to the public. So..."

Therefore, it's somewhat plausible that there were no insects present on the top floor, which is not open to the public, and even if two floors were destroyed, there were no casualties.

But while it made sense, it was just speculation, and the major general didn't dare to say it outright until it was truly confirmed. However, Mikel couldn't possibly miss the implication in his words.

Mikel gave him a dismissive glance, then walked straight to the elevator to wait.

The major general gave an awkward laugh and immediately followed.

"Who owns this commercial building?" Mikel asked, stopping in front of the elevator.

Upon hearing this question, the major general gave Mikel a strange look, then quickly looked away after meeting Mikel's cold gaze.

He forced a smile and explained, "General, this building originally belonged to the Andrew family, but after it was seized by the court, the property rights were transferred to the royal family."

To be precise, it is under the name of the New Insect Emperor.

It's no secret that Andrew had once harassed Admiral Mikel. Although the Andrew family was later sanctioned because of the Dangerous Sea incident, and there were many sycophants behind it, none of them dared to gossip about it in front of Mikel.

The elevator came down quickly, and the doors opened.

"General, please." The major general extended his right hand in a gesture of invitation.

Mikel raised his right foot, but before he could step in, he heard a loud crash behind him.

"Bang!"

Following the three explosions, a fourth explosion occurred.

Mikel whirled around; the direction was...

Imperial Capital Hospital!

A mighty ruler!

The male insect and its eggs are still in the hospital!

Realizing this, Mikel felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave, his mind went blank, and his face turned deathly pale at a visible speed.

Before the major general could figure out what was happening, he felt a gust of wind rush past him, and Mikel had already run far away at lightning speed.

"General, General Mikel..."

At this point, Mikel could hear nothing and cared about nothing.

He had only one thought in his mind: the male insect. He needed to see the safe male insect and the eggs immediately.

He quickly boarded the aircraft, his cold face fixed on the route ahead, and rushed towards the Imperial Hospital at top speed.

Mikel turned on his personal terminal and immediately checked the male insect's coordinates. The male insect's location was still displayed at the Imperial Hospital, but this did not put Mikel at ease.

"Beep, beep, beep..." The ringing tone indicated the video call was about to connect.

The video call to Cheng Chu never went through until the ringing ended and the computer automatically disconnected.

"Drip, drip, drip..."

Mikel operated the control panel with one hand and used the other to send a video call to one of the female soldiers responsible for protecting Cheng Chu.

After the computer beeped once, it automatically hung up.

Undeterred, he dialed another female soldier's video call, but unsurprisingly, no one answered.

Mikel's heart sank, a bad feeling lingering in his mind.

Mikel sped back to the Imperial Hospital, a journey that normally takes twenty minutes, but he covered it in a mere eight.

During this time, several more explosions were heard. The explosions were of varying sizes, but they all occurred in the direction of the Imperial Capital Hospital.

As soon as Mikel stepped off the aircraft, he saw a chaotic scene at the hospital entrance. Whether they were family members of patients, patients themselves, medical staff, or working staff, they were all screaming and rushing out in a panic, with all sorts of aircraft blocking the road.

Mikel randomly grabbed one of the medical workers who had run out and asked in a cold voice, "Where in the hospital did the explosion happen?"

"D...D..." The doctor was clearly flustered, stammering for a long time before finally managing to utter, "It's Building D, number fifteen...and then behind...several places, I...I don't...know..."

Building D15 of the Imperial Capital Hospital is the building for the Department of Neonatal Insect Eggs.

When he left, the male insect and the eggs were still on the eighth floor of Building D15, checking the hardness of the eggshells.

Upon hearing this news from the doctor, Mikel's breath caught in his throat, and he felt his limbs go weak.

He abandoned the trembling insect and squeezed against the swarm.

Behind him, a large group of female soldiers were also rushing over.

"My lord! My lord..."

The elevator was out of service, so Mikel climbed all the way up to the eighth floor of Building D15 in one go, his heart pounding.

"My lord, where are you?"

After the explosion, the corridor was filled with smoke and dust. Various instruments were scattered on the floor, and exposed wires flashed with a ghostly blue light. The fire hoses on the ceiling were still spraying water. There was no trace of life at the scene, and Mikel's voice echoed in the empty space.

"General..."

Suddenly, an extremely weak voice came from in front of Mikel's shoes.

Mikel ran over, cleared away the obstructing clutter, and finally spotted a female soldier with blue hair around a corner.

"Axi".

Mikel called out his name and quickly knelt down to help him up.

"Axi, where is my lord? What on earth happened?"

The female soldier named Axi was soaked to the bone, her face pale and translucent, and she spoke weakly, "I...I'm sorry, General, Cheng Chu...Your Excellency and the Insect Egg were taken away..."

After saying this, the female soldier closed her eyes and fainted.

Mikel patted his face: "Ash, wake up..."
