After a busy month of working from dawn till dusk, Mikel was finally able to go home a little earlier today.

He rubbed his temples, unbuttoned his military jacket, and dragged his weary steps upstairs. He quietly pushed open the bedroom door and heard the male insect muttering to the eggs.

My whole heart felt as if it were being soaked in a soft, warm, transparent liquid, floating like a cloud in the sky.

Seemingly sensing the movement at the door, the male insect, immersed in its quantum brain, suddenly turned its head to look over, and the next second, a light of surprise burst forth from its black pupils.

"Ah, honey, you're back so early today!" The male insect was so happy that he jumped out of bed and ran to Mikel without even putting on his shoes.

"Master, I'm a little dirty, please don't hug me yet." Mikel took two steps forward and placed her hand against the male insect's chest. She smiled and said, "Wait until I take a bath, okay?"

Having spent the day outdoors, Mikel always felt covered in sweat and grime. Since the male insect had already cleaned himself, it was best not to get any on him.

"Oh, okay." Cheng Chu's expression drooped, and he agreed somewhat reluctantly. He took Mikel's right hand and pulled him inside, taking off his military jacket as he asked, "Are you done with your work? You're back so early today compared to yesterday."

Mikel raised his hand in sync with the male insect's movements, and upon hearing this, nodded slightly in reply, "Hmm, almost there."

The busiest time is over, and everything is almost back on track.

As he spoke, he walked to the bedside and bent down to check the condition of the insect eggs. He gently stroked the eggs, which were surrounded by a fluffy blanket, his expression so tender it could melt hearts.

The insect egg lay quietly in the blanket Cheng Chu had prepared for him, and Mikel could almost sense the little insect's joy and excitement. He asked softly, "Baby, why aren't you asleep yet?"

The little creature inside the egg couldn't answer Mikel's question. But the little bug, seemingly brimming with energy, moved even more excitedly upon hearing its familiar female father's voice, despite the hard eggshell.

"Hehe, I was just chatting with the baby, and I was planning to put him back in the incubator in a bit." Cheng Chu put Mikel's coat on the chair by the French windows, walked over and said with a smile, "I'll put him back to sleep now, you go take a shower first."

Cheng Chu strictly followed the insect race's insect egg care guidelines. The insect egg spent most of the day in a constant-temperature incubator. Only when watering it with nutrient solution or before going to bed at night would Cheng Chu take it out to play with it and get to know it.

"Mm," Mikel responded, gently picking up the egg. "I'll put the baby back in the incubator."

Upon hearing Mikel say this, Cheng Chu took the first step and went to the other side of the bed to open the lid of the incubator, making it easier for Mikel to move around.

Even though he knew the eggs weren't that fragile, Mikel carefully placed them inside and closed the lid. Then, as if remembering something, he straightened up and looked at the male insect, saying, "Master, the Marshal would like to visit the babies in a few days, is that alright?"

"Sure, why not? I'd love for the Marshal to come to our home."

Marshal Anaos was one of Mikel's few elders, and thus considered an elder himself. It was only natural for an elder to want to see the baby. Cheng Chu didn't object and readily agreed.

Mikel had expected the male insect's reaction, but he still said solemnly, "Master, thank you."

"Oh, why be so polite with your own husband?" Cheng Chu patted his chest and said boldly, "Don't even mention the marshal, you can invite a whole bunch of female soldiers to our house as guests, I will definitely treat you well and will absolutely not embarrass you."

Mikel smiled slightly at the male insect, his tone tinged with a hint of helplessness, "Where would we invite so many female soldiers to our home? What did the male say?"

The male insect is talking nonsense again.

"Haha..." Cheng Chu chuckled, pushing Mikel's shoulder and leading him towards the bathroom. She urged, "Wife, you've had a long day, hurry up and take a shower, I'll get you some clothes."

Mikel was thus pushed into the bathroom to undress and take a shower. Cheng Chu not only helped him get his clothes but also volunteered to help him bathe.

The male insect was so enthusiastic that Mikel couldn't refuse and let him help her.

Cheng Chu ordered Mikel not to move, just enjoy himself and let him do it. He then enthusiastically rolled up his sleeves and rubbed fragrant foam all over Mikel's body.

The bathroom was filled with steam, and Mikel sat naked in the bathtub. Cheng Chu suppressed his inner turmoil, diligently scrubbing Mikel's back while starting to chat.

He casually asked, "Honey, was that law about freedom of marriage really enacted by that new Insect Emperor? Is he really that kind-hearted?"

To be honest, Cheng Chu had always found it hard to imagine that the Third Prince could do something like this.

Thinking back to the first time I met the Third Prince at the banquet, he had an arrogant and disdainful attitude towards all insects. At that time, he kept cursing female insects with foul language, clearly showing that he looked down on female insects from the bottom of his heart.

However, since he took the throne, the laws he issued have become increasingly favorable to female insects, even at the cost of infringing on the interests of male insects.

This is really strange.

Mikel was enjoying the male insect's ministrations. His voice, languid yet magnetic, rang out as he asked with interest, "Why does the master ask that?"

"I just feel like this isn't something he would do," Cheng Chu said honestly, expressing his true thoughts.

"The ruler is right, it is indeed not him."

"Oh, I knew it, it couldn't have been him." Cheng Chu had a pleased expression on his face as he wiped Mikel's arm and asked, "Then who was it, and how did they do it?"

"It was Marshal Akkas," Mikel said. "All the decrees were issued by him in the name of the new Insect Emperor."

During this period, as more and more inappropriate things happened, some insects had already guessed this. However, the new insect emperor himself could not stand up, and the other male insects who saw through it were powerless to help.

Upon hearing this name, Cheng Chu immediately thought of the ruthless female insect he had met at the Saintly Vine Cultivation Base, the one who dared to lay a hand on the Three Emperors' Son.

So it was him. Now nothing is surprising.

Cheng Chu seemed to be deep in thought, then asked with a gossipy look, "Why is this new Insect Emperor so afraid of Marshal Akkas?"

Aren't the male insects of high status here?

The new Insect Emperor is still an S-class male insect, so how come Marshal Akocas beats and scolds him, yet nothing happens to him?
