I'm transported to the Zerg world, and my female Zerg wife loves me so much.
Chapter 106 Where Did He Move To?
The next day, the weather was sunny and the temperature was pleasant.
Arungs got up early in the morning and dragged her friends to help her choose clothes, do her hair, and pick out accessories.
The thought of meeting Lord Cheng Chu dressed so casually for the first time, looking disheveled after finishing work, filled Arungus with embarrassment. He was determined to redeem himself this time!
Seeing how meticulously Arengus was dressed, his friend asked curiously, "Arengus, you don't need to dress up like this, do you? It's just going to work."
He thought about it for a moment, then felt something was off: "Could it be... that you've met some outstanding, high-level male insect?"
Lord Cheng Chu is an S-class male insect, the highest-ranking male insect. Arungus didn't want to tell his friend before things were settled.
After all, the more female insects know, the more competitors there are.
"Oh, no, that's not it," Arungus chuckled. "Well, the professor is taking me to a meeting today. I have to dress up, otherwise I'll embarrass him. Or, like you said, what if I'm lucky enough to meet a great male insect?"
"That's true." Hearing Arungus say that, his friend thought about it and agreed. He didn't press further, picked up a simple necklace, and asked, "How about this one? It goes well with your outfit today, and the color is just right."
"Okay, this is it." Arungus took the necklace, tried it on in the mirror, and thought it looked good. He then asked, "What about the hair? How do you think I should style my hair?"
Arungus's hair only reaches shoulder length, neither too long nor too short. She usually wears a half-bun hairstyle for work to make things easier.
His friend stroked his chin, carefully observing Arengus's overall attire. He suggested, "Just leave it loose like this; it makes your face look smaller and your neck appear longer."
"Okay, thank you, thank you."
After sincerely thanking his friend and promising to treat him to dinner the next day, Arungus went to work with a mix of excitement and trepidation after seeing his friend off.
Upon entering the office, Professor Onnani immediately reprimanded Arengus upon seeing his attire: "Arengus, what are you doing dressed like that? And your hair, how are you supposed to get anything done?"
The research institute has a rule that if a worker has long hair, it must be tied up. Otherwise, it will be very inconvenient and make it difficult to do things.
"Professor, aren't we going to Lord Cheng Chu's house today? So I dressed up a little better." Despite being reprimanded, Arungus wasn't intimidated. He grinned and said, "I promise, it won't affect my work today."
Onnani knew he couldn't dissuade the young female insect, so he sighed and frowned, "You're coming with me this afternoon too? Didn't you complain that you were tired? I was thinking of letting you rest and having your two junior classmates come with me."
"No!" Arungus exclaimed excitedly, then realized his mistake and added, "Professor, I mean I'm not tired. I can go with you; there's no need to trouble them."
Onnani glanced at Arungus, her tone somewhat strange: "Are you sure you want to go?"
Arungus nodded quickly and said, "Yes, I'm sure."
"All right."
Onnani thought of the message Mikel had sent him this morning, telling him that they had moved yesterday, but Mikel would arrange for his adjutant to open the door for them in advance.
Since we won't see them anyway, let Arunges go if he wants.
Professor Onnani felt no guilt whatsoever in not telling Arungus about it. After all, he had asked Arungus several times if he was going, and Arungus himself had insisted that he would go.
And so, the morning finally passed. Arungus, filled with the thought of being amazed by Cheng Chu upon their first meeting, arrived at the villa.
Upon seeing a strange female soldier in military uniform open the door for them, Arungus couldn't help but question, "Who are you? Why are you opening the door?"
Arungus was completely oblivious to the fact that the professor beside him showed no sign of surprise.
When I came here last time, there was only one female insect, Mikel, at Lord Cheng Chu's house.
Could this be Lord Chengchu's new female attendant?
How could a female insect be faster than him!
Arungus simply couldn't control the chaotic thoughts running through his mind.
Elijah looked at him suspiciously, not answering Arungus's question, his tone becoming serious: "Are you really from the Imperial Botanical Research Institute? Please show me your identification."
Their general instructed him to come over at 2 PM today to open the door for the two female insects from the Imperial Botanical Research Institute, as they would be coming to dig up the saplings in the garden. The general said he had already explained the relocation to them, so the people from the Imperial Botanical Research Institute couldn't possibly be unaware of the situation.
"Ahem..." Onnani coughed lightly, stepped forward, turned on his personal terminal, and pulled up his identity information. He explained with a smile, "Sorry, he doesn't know the situation. General Mikel already told me that they've moved and said he'll send his adjutant to open the door for us."
"I am Professor Onnani from the Imperial Botanical Research Institute, and this is my assistant, Arengus." Professor Onnani said, then turned to the stunned Arengus and said, "Arengus, why don't you show me your identification?"
Elijah confirmed their information before softening his tone, saying, "Sorry, my professional instincts kicked in. Professor Onnani, I'm the General's adjutant, Elijah. I apologize for the offense."
Elijah always thought the experts and professors at the Imperial Botanical Research Institute were incredibly capable; after all, anyone who could earn a living with their brains was impressive. Unlike him, who wasn't smart enough and could only be a female soldier.
Professor Onnani waved his hand and said, "It's alright, it's alright. It's our problem too..."
"Professor, what did you say? Lord Cheng Chu moved?" Arungus realized what Professor Onnani had just said and interrupted him without regard for the occasion. "When did this happen? Where did he move to? Why didn't you tell me?"
His Excellency Cheng Chu has moved!
This was absolutely devastating news for Arungus!
Elijah frowned at the rude female insect. She'd only come to dig up a few saplings, yet she was dressed up so extravagantly. And hearing that Lord Chengchu had moved away, she was so agitated; anyone with eyes could see her purpose.
No wonder the general suddenly moved a day early and even had him open the door.
Onnani was also dissatisfied with Arungus's performance, but didn't want to say anything to him in front of Elijah. In the end, he just said dryly, "I forgot to tell you."
Cheng Chu had just woken up from her afternoon nap.
Mikel was still busy in his study, unaware that his master was about to receive a communication from the Male Insect Protection Committee...
