The next morning, Qingxiao called Chen Yu to his office.

In the meeting room that had been temporarily converted from the sample room, Bai Lu brought in three glasses of water and placed them on the table.

Chen Yu sat opposite him, with several pages of printed paper spread out in front of him—a script outline he had been preparing for several months.

Qingxiao sat opposite him, while Bailu leaned against the window, holding his own cup in his hands.

Chen Yu turned to the first page: "President Qing, Miss Bai, I've prepared a few directions..."

"How many did you prepare?" Qingxiao asked.

"Three." Chen Yu laid out the three outlines side by side on the table.

"Eternal Summer is a youth campus drama that tells the story of two high school girls going from competition to reconciliation, with friendship at its core. Silent Rain is an urban romance drama that tells the story of young white-collar workers struggling in the city, meeting, and missing each other, with an artistic feel. Starlight spans a longer period of time, telling the story of a young couple's relationship from college to middle age, with an open ending."

Qingxiao picked up the three outlines and flipped through them one by one.

After flipping through the pages, place the three pages side by side on the table.

"This one is too artistic, 'Silent Rain,' too emotional. Bai Lu's first work cannot just convey her acting skills to the audience; it must first convey her personal charm. 'Starlight' has too much time span, and a short film of about twenty minutes simply cannot support it. The more profound the story we want to tell, the thinner the character development becomes."

"What about 'Eternal Summer'?" Bai Lu asked.

"It's doable. But with a campus best friend theme, the female lead's spotlight is easily stolen by the supporting female character." He paused, "None of the three scripts will work. We'll discuss it again tomorrow."

Chen Yu was taken aback for a moment, but did not argue.

Bai Lu leaned against the window and quietly squeezed his cup.

She thought Chen Yu wrote very well, especially "Silent Rain," which depicts a white-collar worker listening to the rain alone in a subway station. Just reading the words made her feel that it suited her.

But she didn't say anything.

Qingxiao's professionalism is now so great that she can only look up to him and admire him from the bottom of her heart.

At one o'clock in the morning, after checking all the data of the company's stores, Qingxiao sat alone in his office.

In his previous life, he was an ordinary person. In this life, he was reborn and, in addition to his e-commerce operation experience, he has another secret.

A system that has never had a chance to be used.

This system isn't some kind of all-powerful cheat code; it can't help him buy stocks, write code, or predict the future.

It also won't improve acting or singing skills.

Its function is very simple, or rather, it currently has only one awakened function.

It can import overseas film and television scripts, extract their essence and discard their dross, and adapt them into a brand-new script that meets the needs of the domestic market, based on the current market conditions and audience preferences.

The adapted script has independent copyright, completely bypassing the copyright restrictions of the original work.

In 2001, the South Korean film "My Sassy Girl" was released, directed by Kwak Jae-yong.

This movie, starring Cha Tae-hyun and Jun Ji-hyun, sparked a viewing frenzy across Asia, making Jun Ji-hyun an overnight sensation as a top Asian actress and creating the iconic "My Sassy Girl" character.

His character is outwardly domineering and unreasonable, but inwardly extremely soft and vulnerable. This well-defined personality is still regarded as a textbook example of romantic comedy in the industry.

If Bai Lu could play such a role, her personal charm would explode, and in a way that would make the audience laugh and cry, leaving a deep impression, rather than simply portraying the sweetness of first love.

Qingxiao closed his eyes.

Data flows converge within the system.

The story framework of "My Sassy Girl" was broken down into hundreds of narrative units, and each segment was cross-referenced with domestic market data.

The bet at the subway station, the bullying in the classroom, the run in the rainy night, the letter buried under the tree—these memorable moments from the original film are like building blocks, reassembled and pieced together.

His brain began to process it.

The original story is about a couple who have already graduated from university and are working professionals. South Korea's unique drinking culture, campus traditions, and even the structure of subway stations are significantly different from those in China.

The system replaced Korean soju with milk tea and oden sold near school gates, and Seoul subway stations with more down-to-earth bus stops and bicycle sheds...

The key is not simply replacement, but a rearrangement of the story's structural units.

As dawn approached, Qingxiao opened his eyes.

The printer spit out the first page.

The ink on the white paper was still wet, even though it was written in black ink.

My Girlfriend is a Little Wild.

The next morning, Chen Yu sat in the sample room flipping through the new script.

His posture changed when he turned to the fifth page.

When he turned to page ten, his breathing began to follow the rhythm of the script.

When we turned to page fifteen, Bai Lu walked in carrying a water glass.

He looked up at Bai Lu for a long time, then looked down at the script again. When he looked up again, his eyes were different.

"President Qing," he placed the script on the table, "where did you find this script?"

"I wrote it myself," Qingxiao said.

"When was it written?"

"That's not important."

Chen Yu remained silent for at least ten seconds, then took off his glasses, wiped the lenses with the corner of his shirt, and put them back on.

"The drama 'Silent Rain' depicts the emotions of urban white-collar workers; it's a drama that focuses on introspection. Ms. Bai's acting skills haven't reached that stage yet, and focusing on introspection will expose her shortcomings."

"The span of 'Starlight' is too large; twenty minutes cannot support the depth of twenty years. 'Eternal Summer' can be filmed, but with the theme of best friends splitting the screen time, Miss Bai's brilliance is diluted."

"But this script is so exciting."

Bai Lu walked over from the window, stood behind Chen Yu, and stared at the script in his hand.

The words on the cover, "My Girlfriend is a Little Wild," made her pause for a moment.

"A savage girlfriend?"

Qingxiao pulled out a whiteboard and a whiteboard marker, and began to introduce the core of his script.

"The female lead is called the female lead, and she's a sophomore in college. Her style of speaking can be summed up in four words: arrogant and ruthless. She directly confronts anyone she doesn't like, does whatever she wants, and doesn't care about anyone's opinion."

Bai Lu blinked: "Isn't she just a delinquent girl?"

"no."

After writing "cool and ruthless" on the whiteboard, Qingxiao continued speaking.

"The story begins with a misunderstanding. That afternoon, the female protagonist came out of the school's side gate and was walking on a street near the school. The roadside was full of food stalls, and there was a budget hotel across the street. She had a hypoglycemic attack, her vision went black, and she fell forward, landing right on the male protagonist who was passing by."

"The male protagonist is a freshman majoring in computer science. He's a typical STEM guy, a homebody, honest, and blushes when talking to girls. Suddenly, a grown woman collapses on him, leaving him completely stunned. He crouches down to ask her what's wrong, but she can't speak. He looks up and sees a budget hotel right across the street."

"He didn't think too much about it. He booked a single room, put the female lead on the bed, poured a glass of water and placed it on the bedside table. Then he sat in the chair and waited for a long time, making sure her breathing was steady and her complexion had improved, before he stood up. Before leaving, he left a note and put it under the glass."

Chen Yu looked up from his sketchbook: "What does it say on the note?"

"That's not the point; it's written in the script."

The next day, the female protagonist woke up. She sat on the edge of the bed, checked her clothes, and found them neat and tidy. Then she picked up the note from the bedside table and stared at it for a long time.

Qingxiao turned a page of the script.

(P.S.: The system only has the function of searching for foreign scripts and adapting them into original scripts. Could you suggest a micro-system, or could it be removed and made the protagonist's personal ability instead? Thanks!)
