Yu Jingwen sent me the location of the Ningbo Gymnasium, followed by the following text:

"Teacher Chen, this is the location of the Ningbo Gymnasium. The competition starts at nine o'clock in the morning. Please arrive early and don't be late."

I'm extremely busy today and don't have time to pick you up. You can just come directly there.

Chen Hao replied, "Received, won't be late."

Then put away your phone, zip up your backpack, and sling it over one shoulder.

He looked around the room; the blankets on the bed were still messy, and Tingting's Kapibal was lying alone next to the pillow.

Tingting ran back, picked up Kapibala, stuffed it into her small bag, zipped it up, patted the bag, and turned to Chen Hao, saying:

"Alright, let's go."

Chen Hao took her hand and led her out of the room. The door closed with a click.

The two walked down the corridor to the elevator. The elevator doors opened, revealing a middle-aged man wearing glasses and carrying a briefcase.

He glanced at them, his gaze lingering on Tingting's competition certificate for a moment, and nodded slightly.

Chen Hao nodded and led Tingting into the elevator.

Tingting leaned against the elevator wall, looking down and fiddling with her competition certificate, turning it over and over, her fingers tracing her face in the photo.

Check-out went smoothly. The young woman at the front desk saw the competition certificate around Tingting's neck and said with a smile:

"Little friend, are you participating in the paper airplane competition today? Good luck!"

Tingting looked up and replied loudly, "Thank you, Auntie! I will try my best!" The receptionist laughed.

Stepping out of the hotel, the sun was already quite bright.

Chen Hao opened the back door, lifted Tingting into the child safety seat, and fastened her seatbelt with a click.

He closed the back door, got into the driver's seat, started the car, shifted gears, and released the handbrake.

The navigation screen displayed the route to Ningbo Stadium. He glanced at it, turned the steering wheel, and the car slowly drove out of the hotel parking lot.

The traffic conditions during the morning rush hour weren't too bad, but they weren't great either.

The car kept stopping and starting, and there were one red light after another.

Tingting sat in the back seat, took the Kapibala out of her bag and hugged it to her chest, her head resting against the car window, watching the rows of shops and roadside trees recede into the distance.

She didn't speak, her quietness unlike her usual self.

Chen Hao glanced at her in the rearview mirror. She was looking down, folding Kapibala's ear back and forth with her fingers, as if she was pondering something.

Instead of turning on his phone to start a live stream, Chen Hao activated the system directly through a thought.

As soon as the live stream started, viewers flooded in with comments.

The number of viewers today is significantly higher than usual. Less than a minute after the broadcast started, the number jumped to over 50,000 and is still climbing.

"It's finally open! I've been waiting for so long!"

"Is it a match today? What time does it start?"

"Have the anchor and Tingting arrived at the stadium yet?"

"I got up at six in the morning to watch the live stream!"

"Tingting is going to break the record today! I bet a hundred bucks!"

Chen Hao sent a text message using his mind:

"We're heading to the Ningbo Gymnasium now. The match starts at 9:00 AM. Thank you for your support."

The scrolling speed of the comments is faster now.

"Go Tingting! Go Dad!"

"We'll definitely break the record today! I watched your previous live streams, and I even took a screenshot of the time you flew over 100 meters!"

"World records are waiting to be broken!"

"I'm new here. I heard a little girl folded a paper airplane and it flew over 100 meters? Is that true?"

"Seriously! We longtime fans watched the whole thing!"

Chen Hao didn't send any more messages and focused on driving.

Soon, the Ningbo Gymnasium came into view.

The stadium was much larger than Chen Hao had imagined. Its overall shape resembled a bird spreading its wings, and its gray metal facade shimmered faintly in the sunlight.

The exterior walls feature large glass curtain walls that reflect the color of the sky.

Many cars were already parked in the open space in front of the stadium, their taillights reflecting red light in the sunlight.

There was a queue at the parking lot entrance, with several cars slowly inching their way in.

Chen Hao waited in line for three or four minutes before entering the parking lot.

He circled around twice and found a parking space in a corner. The cars on both sides were parked rather haphazardly, and the empty space was just enough for him to squeeze his car in.

He stumbled once, then moved forward halfway, and finally stopped.

He turned off the engine, removed the key, and looked back at Tingting in the back seat.

"We've arrived, get off the bus."

Tingting unbuckled her seatbelt herself, and with a deft press of her fingers, she pressed the red button, causing the buckle to pop open.

She climbed out of the child seat, knelt on the seat cushion, reached for the door handle, and pulled it towards herself, opening the door a crack.

She slid sideways out of the car, landed on the ground, stood up straight, and looked up at the huge stadium.

Her mouth opened slightly.

The stadium was larger than most buildings she had ever seen; the glass doors at the entrance were as high as two stories, and red words scrolled across the electronic screen above them—

The 23rd Ningbo Paper Airplane Challenge.

The characters are large and can be clearly seen even from a distance.

Tingting looked up at him for a while, then lowered her head and turned to look at Chen Hao.

"Daddy, it's so big."

"It's even bigger inside." Chen Hao locked the car, put the keys in his pocket, and held out his hand to her. "Let's go."

Tingting reached out her hand and took Chen Hao's fingers.

The father and daughter walked through the parking lot toward the stadium entrance.

On the way, I encountered several young people carrying bags, each with their competition badges pinned to their chests, chatting and laughing as they walked toward the entrance.

One of them was holding a paper airplane model, gold in color, folded very delicately, and shimmering in the sunlight.

Tingting glanced at him a couple more times, and the man also looked down at her, his gaze lingering on the competition certificate on her chest. He smiled and nodded at her.

Tingting nodded at him as well.

There is a security check at the entrance. Two security guards in uniform are standing next to the metal detector gate, and a volunteer is checking IDs.

People at the front of the line pass through one by one, put their bags into the conveyor belt, and walk through the metal detector gate.

When it was Chen Hao and Tingting's turn, Tingting stood on tiptoe and held up her competition certificate for the volunteer to see. The volunteer bent down, glanced at it, and nodded.

"Little one, go inside, good luck in the game."

Tingting replied loudly, "Thank you, Uncle!" Then she took Chen Hao's hand and stepped through the metal detector gate.

The door didn't open, and she walked through without a sound.

Chen Hao followed behind, put his backpack on the conveyor belt, walked over, and the backpack came out from the other end. He picked it up and slung it over his shoulder.

The moment I stepped into the stadium lobby, the space suddenly felt much more open.
