"Luohan, you are mistaken. This is not the first time these two have caused us trouble. This time, they even stole the Bodhisattva's willow leaf magic treasure. If it weren't for my own abilities, I would be the one lying on the ground right now." Lu Qingxuan shook his head.

As he spoke, he brought out the alchemy furnace, revealing a distinct dent in front of the long-browed Arhat.

Looking at the alchemy furnace in Lu Qingxuan's hand, the long-browed Arhat's heart trembled slightly. This gesture...

It's that person!

Who is this child connected to?

The long-browed Arhat was immediately somewhat embarrassed. He coughed and said, "What you say is very true, Daoist, but..."

Lu Qingxuan interrupted him, saying solemnly, "Arhat, I respect you as a member of the Buddhist community and do not wish to make things difficult for you, but please do not put me in a difficult position. These two have tried to take my life time and time again. It would be inappropriate to release them without even offering some compensation."

The long-browed Arhat was taken aback, then gave a bitter smile.

He had lived for countless years and had seen people who tried to take advantage of others, but few were as brazen as Lu Qingxuan in doing so.

"Then, in your opinion, Daoist Master..." the long-browed Arhat asked tentatively.

Lu Qingxuan thought for a moment and said, "I have heard that Buddhism has seven treasures and eight precious items to help people cultivate. If the Arhat is sincere, then please take three portions."

The long-browed Arhat's expression remained unchanged.

The Seven Treasures and Eight Treasures are used by Buddhist bodhisattvas to cultivate their golden bodies, and there are not many of them to begin with. To ask for three portions at once shows quite an appetite.

"Master, three portions are too much..." The long-browed Arhat said with difficulty, "This humble monk cannot make the decision on this matter."

Lu Qingxuan wasn't in a hurry and said slowly, "Then please ask Luohan to go back and consult. However, I will take these two back to Zhongnan Mountain first, and we will come to pick them up when Luohan returns."

"No!" The long-browed Arhat hurriedly waved his hand. If they brought the person back to Zhongnan Mountain, would they be able to bring them back intact?

He gritted his teeth and took out three portions of the Seven Treasures and Eight Treasures from his sleeve. These were originally rewards he had received for his hard work on the Journey to the West, but for the sake of these two demons, he had no choice but to give them away.

"Here is what you requested, fellow Daoist. Take it." The long-browed Arhat handed the treasure to Lu Qingxuan, a look of pain flashing across his face.

Lu Qingxuan took them, scanned them with his divine sense, and finding no problems, nodded: "In that case, these two demons will be handed over to Luohan."

After saying that, Lu Qingxuan turned to leave.

"Fellow Daoist, please wait," the long-browed Arhat said, stopping Lu Qingxuan.

Lu Qingxuan frowned slightly: "Is Luohan going back on his word?"

"Of course not, but could that weapon be returned?" The Long-Browed Arhat pointed to the crescent shovel in Tiger Power Immortal's hand.

Lu Qingxuan frowned: "Previously, Luohan only said that he would take these two demons away, but he didn't mention weapons."

Long-browed Arhat's lips twitched. Was this guy going to try to extort more money?

"What do you mean, fellow Daoist..." the Long-Browed Arhat asked cautiously.

Lu Qingxuan glanced at the other party and said, "It'll cost extra."

Long-browed Arhat: ....

After a moment of contemplation, the Long-Browed Arhat took the Purple-Gold Bowl from the Venerable One behind him and said, "This is a Buddhist ritual implement, the Purple-Gold Bowl. Although it is not some innate treasure, it has been blessed by eminent monks throughout the ages. Using it to beg for alms will bring food that can cure diseases and prolong life. Using it to hold water will bring water that can detoxify and heal wounds."

"This humble monk offers this item in exchange for that crescent-shaped shovel. What do you think, Master?"

The Venerable One beside him frowned slightly: "Arhat, is this meant to be given to that Golden Cicada...?"

The Arhat with long eyebrows interrupted him, saying, "It's alright, we can ask the Bodhisattva for another one when we get back."

The most important thing now is to get that crescent shovel back, otherwise, with the Nine-Headed Insect's strength, how will it be able to deal with future calamities?

Lu Qingxuan took the purple-gold alms bowl. It felt heavy in his hand, just like the one Tang Sanzang used on his journey to the West.

Immediately, Lu Qingxuan took the crescent shovel from Tiger Power Immortal and handed it to the other party: "Deal."

"Master Lu is deeply righteous, and I am eternally grateful. If you have the time in the future, please come to Mount Ling for a chat. I will certainly welcome you with open arms." The Long-Browed Arhat said, putting his palms together in a gesture of respect.

Lu Qingxuan laughed and said, "Luohan, you're too kind. If there's another good thing like this next time, remember to come to me. I'm not good at fighting, but I'm good at catching monsters."

The long-browed Arhat's lips twitched, and he quickly gave a wry smile: "It's best not to do this again. This humble monk takes his leave."

After saying this, the Long-Browed Arhat, along with the Nine-Headed Insect and the Great King of Inspiration, turned and fled, fearing that Lu Qingxuan might remember something else.

Watching the long-browed Arhat's back, Lu Qingxuan's lips curled up slightly. Three portions of the Seven Treasures and Eight Treasures, a purple-gold alms bowl, and the Crimson Fire Elixir he obtained—this trip was not a loss.

But the sword marks on the alchemy furnace...

Lu Qingxuan felt it was a pity. He had to go back and find a way to repair it. Such a magical treasure could not be ruined in his hands.

Lu Qingxuan then glanced at the willow leaf that had lost its Buddhist nature, and after thinking it over, decided to take it with him.

After all, it's something from the Bodhisattva's vase, imbued with the Bodhisattva's power; keeping it will always be useful.

If there is an opportunity in the future, it may be refined again. If it can be transformed into a magical treasure like the life-saving monkey hair, that would be extremely beautiful.

At this point in the year, Lu Qingxuan did not hesitate any longer. He, along with Tiger Power Immortal and Sheep Power Immortal, rode the clouds and headed towards Zhongnan Mountain.

...

On the other side, the Long-Browed Arhat, riding a golden lotus, led the Nine-Headed Insect and the Great King of Inspiration westward.

His complexion wasn't very good.

They came full of confidence, thinking that by revealing their Buddhist identity, a mere Taoist priest would obediently release them.

The result was quite the opposite; the person was saved, but three portions of rare and precious items and a golden alms bowl were lost in the process.

The seven treasures and eight precious items were fine; we could just have our subordinates search for more. But the purple-gold alms bowl was meant for the reincarnation of Jin Chanzi to use for begging for alms, and it has now been given away.

Although I could ask the Bodhisattva for more when I got back, I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

"Arhat, that Taoist priest is going too far..." Nine-Headed Insect, bound by golden threads, managed to speak, his voice hoarse.

"Shut up!"

The long-browed Arhat glared at him irritably. "If it weren't for the two of you repeatedly provoking him, why would this humble monk have to spend money? After you return, stay obediently at the Jade Wave Pool. If you dare to cause trouble again, this humble monk will personally suppress you!"

The nine-headed worm's face stiffened, and he dared not speak again.

The King of Inspiration was ashen-faced and remained silent.

After flying for about half an hour, the golden lotus had left the East Sea and entered a range of mountains.

As dusk settled and twilight descended, the mountains were shrouded in mist, obscuring everything.

As the Arhat with long eyebrows was pondering how to explain things to the Bodhisattva upon his return, he suddenly heard a buzzing sound behind him, as if something was breaking through the air.

He turned around and saw a golden light shoot out from the clouds, as fast as lightning, heading straight for the back of his head.

"Who goes there!" The long-browed Arhat exclaimed in surprise, waving his staff to unleash a beam of Buddhist light in front of him.

But the golden light ignored the Buddha's light as if it were nothing, passing straight through and striking the long-browed Arhat squarely on the forehead.

"Ouch!"

The long-browed Arhat cried out in pain, and the golden lotus swayed, almost falling down.

He covered his forehead and looked closely; the thing that had hit him had already flown back into the clouds.

He only had time to see a glittering golden bracelet spin in the air before disappearing.
