Peninsula: My Top-Tier Landlord

Chapter 9: Autographed Photos

"No, you idiot, hurry up and learn English! Abandon, abandon!"

"The number-obsessed guy thinks he's got all the tricks up his sleeve."

"Dude, any strategies that don't rely on character models?"

On his way to work, Ye Fan took out his phone to check his newly released work. He found that it had 5 million views, 400,000 likes, more than 10,000 comments, and his number of followers had exceeded 100,000.

Moreover, this one video brought him nearly a thousand yuan in revenue!

Ye Fan clenched his fist excitedly, and his steps became lighter. It seemed that this track was feasible!

I'll continue the live stream when I get back tonight, and then edit the video!

After calming his excitement and replying to a few comments, Ye Fan opened Kakao, which had a new message notification. It was a thank-you video from Bae Joo-hyun, sent around 3 a.m.

They really know how to endure.

The message thanked him for his help last night, apologized for the trouble, and said she wanted to treat him to a meal as a token of her gratitude.

Ye Fan thought for a moment and replied, "There's no need for dinner. I already ate last night, so it won't be too much trouble."

He needs to continue working on his projects tonight, so going out to eat would be a waste of time.

When Ye Fan arrived at the organization, Bae Joo-hyun still hadn't replied; she was probably still sleeping. Ye Fan ignored her.

Even though he pretended to be her boyfriend, it was enough to fool her sister; he shouldn't fool himself too.

"Feeling better? What happened? You seem to be in a good mood today."

Just as I arrived at my workstation, Wu Yingying arrived.

"Yes, I'm much better." Ye Fan nodded, without answering any other questions.

After finishing my morning classes, I finally got a message from Bae Joo-hyun during lunchtime. I still wanted to thank her.

Ye Fan remembered that his sister wanted Liu Zhimin's autograph; she and Bae Joo-hyun seemed to be from SM Entertainment.

"If you'd like to express your gratitude, could you please get me an autographed photo of Zhang Liuzhimin?"

"Yoo Jimin?"

Bae Joo-hyun blinked on the other end of the phone. Wasn't Ye Fan a fan of Jisoo? Why was he asking for Yoo Jimin's autograph again?

"Well, my sister is a fan of hers and wanted me to get her an autograph," Ye Fan explained.

So that's how it is. Bae Joo-hyun thought Ye Fan had switched allegiance so quickly and just wanted an autograph. It was simple; she could just go to the company later. She then asked Ye Fan's sister what her name was so she could get her autograph for him.

After get off work in the afternoon, Ye Fan still bought groceries to take home. He planned to cook an extra dish to treat himself after making some money.

I stir-fried some bok choy with beef and spicy chicken, then stir-fried some greens. After cleaning the kitchen, I was just about to sit down to eat when the doorbell rang.

With a sense of doubt, I opened the door, and standing in front of me were Bae Joo-hyun and Kang Seul-gi.

"Hi brother-in-law, good evening."

As soon as the door opened, Kang Seulgi greeted everyone warmly, but this address as "brother-in-law" earned her an elbow from Bae Joo-hyun.

Ye Fan raised an eyebrow, quite surprised by their arrival. "Good evening, but what brings you two here?"

Aren't celebrities supposed to be very busy? Why do these two seem so free?

"I got you an autographed photo. I sent you a message but you didn't reply, so I came to visit you in person." Bae Joo-hyun handed over the small bag she had prepared with both hands.

"Yeah?"

"I was busy and didn't check my phone."

Kang Seulgi smiled and said, "Unnie even prepared some housewarming gifts for you."

She then sniffed the air, as if she could smell something delicious. "Were you making dinner just now?"

Taking the bag, Ye Fan bowed slightly to thank Bae Joo-hyun for her help, then turned to widen the crack in the door. "Well, I just finished making dinner, and you've arrived. Have you eaten? Would you like to come in and sit for a while, have something to eat together?"

Kang Seulgi laughed, "Okay!"

Ye Fan: ...

I was just being polite, but you really didn't hold back...

Bae Joo-hyun awkwardly shook Seulgi's hand. What's going on? She said she would leave after delivering the things, so why is she still thinking about mooching a meal?

"Um, please come in..."

Ye Fan stepped aside to let the two women in. He hadn't prepared slippers, so he told them to make themselves at home.

"Sorry to bother you."

"fine."

Upon arriving at the dining table, seeing the dishes Ye Fan had cooked, which looked quite appealing and smelled delicious, Jiang Seulgi praised, "I didn't know you had this cooking skill!"

Bae Joo-hyun glanced at Ye Fan with some surprise, not expecting him to actually have such a skill.

Taking the bowl and chopsticks from Ye Fan, Jiang Seulgi took a bite, and her small eyes widened instantly. It tasted pretty good!

Bae Joo-hyun took a bite and asked curiously, "Do you usually cook for yourself?"

"I make some occasionally, the taste is alright, I guess?"

"It's delicious, brother-in-law!"

Bae Joo-hyun glanced at her younger sister speechlessly. Was she getting more and more comfortable calling him "brother-in-law"?

Kang Seulgi's enthusiasm and repeated calls of "brother-in-law" made Ye Fan a little uncomfortable. "If it's delicious, eat more. I can't finish it all by myself."

Is Kang Seulgi usually like this?

Besides, the pretense of being a couple has already ended, so why are you still calling him "brother-in-law"?

I never expected that I would meet two very popular celebrities so soon after arriving in South Korea. Not only did I pretend to be one of their boyfriends, but we're even having dinner at the same table now. It's like a dream come true.

"Do you want to see the autograph?" Bae Joo-hyun ate her food in small bites, her gaze falling on the bag that Ye Fan had casually placed on the stool.

When Bae Joo-hyun said that, Ye Fan took the bag, opened it, and looked inside. There were autographed photos and albums, as well as several packs of tissues and a bag of rice cakes. This must be the housewarming gift that Kang Seul-gi was talking about.

He could understand giving rice cakes as a gift, but why give tissues?

He was too embarrassed to ask, so he picked up the photo and glanced at it. It was a signed autograph, with his sister's name written on it, along with a blessing.

"Thank you for your help." Ye Fan said thank you. If Bae Joo-hyun didn't help, he would have to queue up for the autograph session.

Bae Joo-hyun shook her head slightly. "Thank you for your help yesterday too."

Bae Joohyun glanced at Seulgi, who was eating in silence, and her lips twitched. She had originally planned to invite Ye Fan to dinner, but now, because of Seulgi's words, it turned out that Ye Fan was the one inviting them to dinner.

Ye Fan paused for a moment, then noticed a signed photo and album. He picked them up with a puzzled look. The photo wasn't of Yoo Jimin, but... of Kim Jisoo! And it was also a signed autograph, with his own name on it!

Ye Fan was a little confused. How come he had one too, and it was even Kim Jisoo's? He hadn't asked Bae Joo-hyun for Kim Jisoo's autographed photo.

"What's going on with this?" Ye Fan asked, holding up the photo.

Kang Seulgi replied, "Aren't you a Jisoo fan?"

"Unnie specifically went to Jisoo to ask for it."

Ye Fan's doubts deepened. "When did I say I was a fan of Jisoo?"
