Peninsula: My Top-Tier Landlord

Chapter 48: The Director Was Very Dissatisfied

Unable to bear the awkward atmosphere, and under Bae Joo-hyun's death stare, Ye Fan picked up the TV remote and turned on the TV. "Let's watch some TV."

"I don't want to watch."

"Then I'll watch." Ye Fan hugged the pillow that Bae Joo-hyun had thrown to him, staring intently at the TV, planning to find a variety show to watch. He had slept for a while on the plane, so he wasn't very sleepy now.

Seeing Ye Fan tapping on his phone and searching for TV programs, looking like he was really going to watch TV, Bae Joo-hyun bit her lower lip and narrowed her beautiful eyes. This annoying guy.

Why are you sitting so far away?

"Fear."

"You pinched me on the plane, and just now you hit me with a pillow. Plus, you're giving me that 'I want to eat you alive' look. I think it's better to keep a safe distance," Ye Fan said.

A fragrant breeze wafted by, and Bae Joo-hyun's large head seemed to grow bigger in my peripheral vision.

Ye Fan couldn't hold back any longer. He turned around and looked at her somewhat resentful face. He couldn't help but laugh and said, "What are you doing? If you hit me, I'll scream."

He turned to face Bae Joo-hyun, his hands tightly clutching the pillow in front of him.

Bae Joo-hyun raised her fist and punched the pillow in front of Ye Fan's chest. Ye Fan immediately started screaming for help in a high-pitched voice. The strange tone and aggrieved expression made Bae Joo-hyun laugh.

"You're so serious one minute and not serious the next," Bae Joo-hyun smacked Ye Fan on the head.

He was nice to her one moment and distant the next, but he couldn't really feel any disgust towards her.

"Haha, are you feeling better now?" Ye Fan rubbed the spot where Bae Joo-hyun had patted him, intending to use this to smooth over the awkward question and atmosphere from just now.

"It's a little better." Bae Joo-hyun wasn't about to let Ye Fan off the hook. "When was the last time you were jealous?"

"I can't remember anymore, it's been too long."

"real?"

"Really?" Ye Fan nodded, staring intently into Bae Joo-hyun's eyes to show that he wasn't lying.

His memories of his previous relationship were long gone; he couldn't possibly remember anything.

"What would make you jealous?"

"Jealousy is easy to understand. It's definitely when your girlfriend gets too close and intimate with someone of the opposite sex that you get jealous."

Bae Joo-hyun sat up straight and looked at him intently. Ye Fan also sat up straight, looked at Bae Joo-hyun, his face full of hesitation, opened his mouth, but seemed to be concerned about something, and finally turned into a helpless sigh.

"Never mind, I should get some rest." After putting the cushion away, Ye Fan got up and returned to his room.

Bae Joo-hyun tilted her head, wondering what Ye Fan had been hesitating about.

Ye Fan hadn't chosen a TV program; he just randomly picked one and put it on. Bae Joo-hyun glanced at it; the plot was about the male and female leads having a conflict due to a misunderstanding.

"What kind of plot is this..." Bae Joo-hyun pouted and turned off the TV.

In the past, she might have enjoyed watching it, but now she prefers stories that are sweet all the time and then become very depressing.

Back in her room, Bae Joo-hyun took out her phone and glanced at it. It was a message from Kang Seul-gi, sent ten minutes ago.

"Unnie, you two aren't exactly burning with desire, are you? (evil grin)"

"Don't rush to reply to me, don't reply with voice messages, and definitely don't call."

Bae Joo-hyun's forehead creased with annoyance. What was Seulgi on guard against?

How could such a plot possibly occur?

"No, what are you thinking? We just chatted on the sofa for a while, and then we all went back to our rooms to rest."

No sooner had she replied to the message than a new one arrived, showing that Kang Seulgi had been waiting to reply.

"Oh, you're resting so soon?"

"What kind of weird plot are you thinking of?"

"No, I thought you guys would chat for a long time," Kang Seulgi replied. They'd only checked in a little over ten minutes ago, and they were already resting?

Moreover, if a man and a woman are alone together and have feelings for each other, shouldn't they flirt a little? They seemed to get along quite well on the plane, yet they're already resting so soon.

The director was very dissatisfied with this part of the story.

"He must be tired after working all day."

"So, has there been any progress?" Kang Seulgi asked in a different phrasing.

"There's been no progress..." Bae Joo-hyun told Seulgi about the conversation she had just had, asking her to help her figure out what was going on.

Behind Bae Joo-hyun were four cunning advisors, but behind Ye Fan was no one.

After taking a shower, Ye Fan got into bed, turned on some cute animal science videos, placed his phone on the bedside table, and drifted off to sleep listening to the sounds.

At 8 a.m., Ye Fan woke up early due to his biological clock. He didn't sleep in. Dressed in all black, he washed up and sent messages to them one by one, but waited for more than ten minutes without receiving a reply.

Could it be that he slept in late?

Didn't Kang Seulgi tell the director yesterday that she was leaving at 9 o'clock?

Ye Fan glanced at the time; it was already 8:40.

It's currently the off-season for tourism, so it seems like the hotel breakfast service time will be shorter.

After thinking for a moment, Ye Fan took the room key and went out.

At 9:30, Bae Joo-hyun's door opened, and Ye Fan saw Bae Joo-hyun with a bare face and messy hair.

Upon seeing Ye Fan, Bae Joo-hyun was instinctively startled. Realizing what had happened, she quickly covered her face with her hands, peeking at Ye Fan through her fingers. "Why are you awake so early?"

She had just woken up, and her voice was still a little soft. Moreover, Bae Joo-hyun's skin was very well-maintained; even though she was in her early thirties, she still looked like she was in her twenties.

"I woke up at 8 o'clock. Didn't Seulgi say yesterday that we'd leave at 9 o'clock?" Ye Fan smiled. "No need to block it anymore, it's not like I haven't seen it before."

"I brought back some breakfast, it's still warm. Come and have some after you wash up."

Bae Joo-hyun straightened her hair a little shyly, then looked at the coffee table and saw that there were indeed many breakfast items, which looked like noodles.

I chatted with Seulgi until 2 a.m. last night, and slept in a little longer this morning because I've been to Jeju Island many times, and I don't have the same drive I had when I first arrived to go out and play early in the morning.

She took small, quick steps into the bathroom and closed the door.

Ye Fan also received Jiang Seulgi's reply, got up and took her and Bae Joo-hee's breakfast to them.

Upon opening the door, the same unadorned, goofy little bear, Fly, rubbed his hands together and apologized to Ye Fan.

Given all this, what else could Ye Fan do but forgive her?

When he returned, Bae Joo-hyun had already washed up, her hair was tied in a ponytail, she was still without makeup, wearing a loose sweater, exuding a lazy vibe, and was taking small bites of the noodles he had brought back.

After breakfast, Ye Fan waited for about half an hour until the three of them finished their makeup before leaving the hotel.

Ye Fan glanced at the time; it was almost 10:30.

I feel like I haven't done anything this morning, but I'm already a little tired.
