on the way back.

Ella's panel also surfaced last year.

[Ella - Current Status]

[Additional information about college life: She indeed possessed exceptional talent in academics, excelled academically, and was extremely beautiful, thus attracting a large number of suitors in the college. Every day during breaks, people would find various excuses to approach her; some sent flowers, some poems, and some even left love letters in advance on her usual seat in the library.]

[Note: But don't worry, in Ella's heart, you will always be her only choice. She didn't even open the love letters from those suitors; she returned them all unopened.]

[Note 2: Acquiring knowledge makes her happy. But what truly fulfills her is recalling every detail of her time with you each night after returning to her dorm. She strives to improve herself so that she can stand truly by your side sooner, instead of always hiding behind you.]

[P.S.: She was really looking forward to nightfall.]

After looking at the panel, Wayne admitted that he did feel a little proud—after all, he had raised it from scratch.

They were academically gifted, beautiful, self-disciplined, and ambitious—they would be among the best of their peers anywhere. When he brought them out of the slave market, he never imagined they would grow up to be such graceful young women.

However, this sense of accomplishment from "raising her by his own hands," combined with Ella's obedience and understanding, inevitably gave him a strange feeling that he couldn't quite explain.

He cleared his throat and said to the two sisters, "If you can concentrate on studying, then study hard; if you can't, then eat well and don't put too much pressure on yourself."

Hearing this, Alice couldn't help but laugh: "When I was in school, you told me the same thing, brother. You're so good to them..."

Wayne naturally sensed his sister's jealousy, but he still said seriously, "I'm telling the truth. When it comes to studying, just do your best. Pushing yourself too hard won't get you far."

Alice did not refute, but nodded slightly.

Emma smiled broadly upon hearing this: "Master is right! Then I won't force myself anymore. I'll eat when I can, sleep when I can, and study as much as I can!"

Ella gently patted the back of her hand: "Don't use your master's words as an excuse to be lazy."

Emma stuck out her tongue but didn't argue.

Wayne was enjoying this rare moment of leisure when several uninvited guests suddenly appeared in his line of sight.

They were stopped by a young man in the uniform of the Royal Magic Academy. He had a handsome face, was neatly dressed, and wore an exquisitely crafted academy badge at his waist, suggesting he came from a well-off family. His gaze remained fixed on Ella the entire time, completely ignoring Wayne and Alice.

"Miss Ella, please wait a moment." He took a step forward, blocking Ella's path, and gave what he considered a polite smile. "I am Davis, the vice president of the Magic Academy Student Council and the eldest son of Duke Philip Crawford. Ever since I met you at the opening ceremony, I've been looking for an opportunity to speak with you alone."

His tone was polite and impeccable, but the sense of superiority of "I am the eldest son of a nobleman" still inadvertently slipped out from the corners of his eyes and brows.

Ella stopped, her tone polite yet distant: "Davis, is there anything I can help you with?"

Davis took out a beautifully decorated letter from his pocket and handed it to Ella with both hands.

"This is a formal invitation from the College Student Council to attend the College Fall Dance this weekend. The dance is the most important social event of the semester, and only students with excellent grades and good conduct receive invitations. As one of the best freshmen, you are fully qualified to attend."

Ella did not reach out to take the letter.

She didn't even glance down at the ornately decorated envelope, simply replying calmly, "Thank you for the invitation, but I already have plans for the weekend."

Davis's smile faltered slightly for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure: "Miss Ella, you may not know, but the Autumn Ball is one of the academy's most important events, and it would be a great pity to miss it. Moreover, I'm personally delivering the invitation as the vice president, which is a rare privilege in the academy's history..."

"I already said I have plans for the weekend," Ella interrupted him, her tone noticeably colder. "Thank you for your kindness, but I don't need it."

Davis's fingers tightened slightly as he gripped the invitation, his smile finally faltering. His gaze passed over Ella and landed on Wayne behind her.

"And this is... Miss Ella's friend?"

It was Wayne's habit to disguise himself when going out, so even if he showed his true face now, Davis would not recognize him as the Black Order leader who had been stirring up trouble in the capital these past two days.

Before Wayne could speak, Ella spoke up.

"This is my master. Please stop harassing me."

After she finished speaking, she turned to Wayne and said, "Master, let's go."

Wayne didn't even glance at Davis, simply nodding slightly. "Okay, let's go."

The four men walked past Charles and continued down the street. Charles stood there, still clutching the unclaimed invitation, his face alternating between pale and flushed.

He watched the four people's backs as they walked away, especially the image of the girl he liked leaving side by side with that man, and he felt even more distressed.

The lackey who had been following him closely cautiously approached: "Young Master...should we...?"

"No need," Charles interrupted him.

"Find out who that man is."

The lackey immediately bowed his head: "Yes, young master."

Charles only looked away and turned to walk in the opposite direction after the four figures had completely disappeared around the street corner.

At the same time, the panel unfolded in Wayne's field of vision.

[Charles Crawford - Biographical Information]

[Identity: Vice President of the Student Council at the Royal Academy of Magic, eldest son of Viscount Crawford.]

[Rank: Late-stage Tier 3 Mage]

[Background: The Crawford family has resided in the capital for many years, their business primarily consisting of jewelry and magical ornaments, and they have never had any dealings with the old guard of the Papacy. Charles himself is a notorious playboy in the academy. He enjoys pursuing women who are difficult to work with.]

[Note: His reason for pursuing Ella was simple: Ella was the most beautiful among the freshmen this year, and her aloof and unapproachable demeanor perfectly satisfied his desire to conquer her.]

[Note 2: He won't give up so easily. He's already planning how to create an opportunity for a "chance encounter" at the next academy event.]

Wayne withdrew his gaze, not taking the matter too seriously. A playboy in the academy wasn't worth his time. As long as he didn't cross the line, let him continue his pipe dream. If he truly didn't know what was good for him, he had plenty of ways to make him regret ever being born.
