Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 335 Emily's Experiences

Emily seemed to suddenly remember something and turned to look at Wayne: "By the way, sir, weren't you here today to check the information on those people?"

Wayne nodded and turned to Anka: "Anka, could you please retrieve the family information of Bella Hopkins, Lina Crawford, Servy Durham... as soon as possible?"

Anka hesitated for a moment, then asked instead, "Sir, what are you doing?"

Wayne stated bluntly, "They are also among the missing girls, but their families know their witch identities, so they haven't dared to speak out since their disappearance."

Emily picked up where Wayne left off, adding naturally, "So today Mr. Wayne and I plan to visit these families separately, mainly to win them over."

Anka said anxiously, "But they are witches! It is only right for the Vatican to arrest witches. From any perspective, we are in the wrong."

Wayne looked at her and asked meaningfully, "What if these people aren't witches? Does that mean there's something wrong with St. George's Cathedral?"

Anka was taken aback.

She opened her mouth, her eyes first showing confusion, then contemplation, and finally a shocked realization: "My lord... you have a way to make them not witches?"

Wayne did not deny it and nodded: "The potion I developed, combined with the purifying effect of water magic, can suppress the curse characteristics of a witch and at the same time prevent the magic-suppressing stone from detecting the witch's identity."

He paused, then added, "During this time, I've already sent people into the dungeons of St. George's Cathedral. Under the guise of delivering water, they've mixed the prepared potions into the dungeon's water supply. I estimate that starting today or tomorrow, those imprisoned in the dungeons will no longer be witches."

After listening, Anka stood there, speechless for a long time.

Anise couldn't help but take half a step forward, her eyes filled with anticipation and excitement: "Then, my lord, can I become a normal person again by drinking magic potions?"

Wayne looked at her frankly and said, "You are a Root Witch, and your situation is much more complicated than that of an ordinary witch. Potions and water magic are effective for you, but it will be very difficult to completely suppress the characteristics of a Root-level curse. It will require long-term and continuous treatment and cannot be resolved overnight."

Annesser's eyes dimmed for a moment after hearing this, but quickly brightened again. She nodded vigorously, "It's okay! As long as there's hope, that's enough! I'm willing to wait!"

Just then, Emily, who was standing to the side, suddenly looked up, her gaze falling on Anise, filled with disbelief and shock: "The Root Witch?! She's the Root Witch? The legendary Root Witch who can destroy the world?! Mr. Wayne, why didn't you tell me about this?"

The root witches in history were all renowned figures, either becoming regional overlords or legendary figures recorded in history. She never expected that the girl in front of her, who looked somewhat naive, actually belonged to that level.

Wayne was slightly taken aback by her question.

Didn't I say so?

"Of course you didn't say that."

"I probably forgot."

Emily's gaze was now burning with passion.

Annesser involuntarily took a step back.

The reason was simple: the moment she saw Emily, she judged that Emily was a person driven by desire. However, at this moment, the mist representing pink desire, which only she could see, intensified on Emily's body, as if ignited by some emotion, surging and swirling around her.

Emily had no idea that Annesser could see these things. She simply stood there watching Annesser, making quick judgments based on her woman's intuition.

She had never seen Wayne have any trouble treating witches; usually, he used water-enhancing potions to completely suppress the curse in less than half a month.

Combining the strange aura emanating from the two sisters' shadows with the subtle changes in their gait, she quickly guessed that something must have happened between Wayne and them.

However, she didn't say it aloud.

Wayne spoke up just in time, breaking the awkward silence: "Emily, calm down. You scared her."

Emily looked away and shrugged. "I was just curious. A Root Witch, a witch who can shake the entire Holy See, and one who embodies Root Desire, is actually hiding so shyly behind my sister. This is quite different from what I expected."

Anise peeked half her head out from behind Anka and whispered, "I... I only awakened a few days ago... I'm not quite used to it yet."

Wayne didn't let the topic escalate further; he turned to Ankache and got back to the point: "Get the data out as soon as possible. I need to see the complete backgrounds of those families by today."

Anka snapped out of his daze and immediately nodded: "Understood, I'll take care of it right away. Please wait a moment, sir, the documents will be on your desk in an hour at most."

After Anka left, the room became quiet.

Wayne sat at the table, opened an old Black Order archive, his gaze falling on the yellowed pages as he slowly turned the pages.

Emily leaned against the window, staring idly at the street scene outside for a while, before finding a desk to sit down.

At the same time, the shadow ability was quietly activated.

Wayne was startled.

Emily looked at Anise and said nonchalantly, "You're actually quite lucky."

Annesser looked up at her.

Emily shifted slightly, her tone flat: "You had such a protective older sister, and you met Mr. Wayne so early on. When I awakened, I wasn't as lucky as you."

Anne looked at Emily and listened quietly.

"On the day I awakened, the whole village chased me up several mountains with torches. They shouted that they wanted to burn me to death, saying that I was possessed by a demon. I was just a little girl who had just awakened, and I couldn't even control my magic. All I knew was to run for my life, and I didn't dare to stop even when I couldn't run anymore."

"Then I started wandering." Emily continued recounting her experiences, "I stole to survive, and if I couldn't steal anything, I went hungry. There wasn't much to be picky about, as long as I could live. During that time, I never dared to stay in one place for more than two days, because I couldn't control my magical fluctuations. Every night, the curse would strike. It felt like every heartbeat was about to burst my blood vessels. At the time, I didn't know it was the witch's curse backlash; I thought I had some terminal illness and was going to die."

Annesser's fingers tightened slightly.

"Fortunately, I met the leader of the cult, who took me in. She taught me how to control magic, gave me food, and that's how I truly survived."

"Later, I met my husband. He suppressed my witch's curse, and..." She paused with a smile, squinting at Wayne, "And he also showed me that there are such happy things in this world."

Wayne: ...

Annesel listened attentively and felt sympathy for Emily's plight. She nodded to Emily.

"Yes! Thank you, Sister Emily, for telling me all this. I will cherish it all."

However, Annesser was still confused at this moment.

Why is Emily swaying like that? Is she not feeling well? And why is the pink mist around her getting thicker? Could it be that she's interested in me?!
