Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong
Chapter 121 The Reason
When the moon rises to the middle of the window frame
Emma and Ella appeared at the bedside right on time.
"Owner!"
Emma's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a sense of self-righteousness, like "I'm back again." She threw her pillow on the bed, climbed up, and lay down against the wall, pulling the blanket up to her chin, leaving only her bright, sparkling eyes showing.
Wayne leaned against the headboard, holding a scripture in his hand.
"You're here quite early today."
"Of course." Emma snuggled into the blankets, finding a comfortable position. "Master promised, so you can't go back on your word."
"I won't renege on my debt."
Ella stood by the bed, gently placing a pillow next to Wayne. She didn't speak, but a slight smile curved her lips, then she lay down, moving closer to Wayne.
Wayne blew out the lamp.
Emma quickly fell asleep. She nestled against Wayne, resting her head on his arm, one leg draped over his calf, and one arm across his chest, hanging like a sloth on a tree trunk.
Wayne glanced down.
Emma.
"Hmm..." Her voice was already tinged with sleepiness.
You're pressing down on me.
"I didn't press down on him," she mumbled, burying her face in his shoulder and breathing evenly and deeply.
She fell asleep not long after.
Ella closed her eyes as well.
If it weren't for the slight movement of the blanket as she turned over... Wayne would have thought Ella had been asleep for quite some time.
The panel appeared.
[Ella - Current Status]
[Status: A little sleepy]
[Note: She tasted success this morning and now wants another bite, from her own perspective. But with Wayne awake, she's hesitant to make it too obvious.]
[Note 2: She was thinking about a question. If she rolled over now and buried her face in her owner's lap, would he hug her like he did this morning? After thinking for a long time, the answer was: yes. But she didn't roll over because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to control herself. Once she was close, she wouldn't want to get down. Besides, now wasn't the right time.]
After looking at the panel, Wayne turned his head and glanced at Ella.
The moonlight shone on her face; her eyes were closed, her eyelashes trembled slightly, a faint blush rose on her cheeks, and her breathing was a little more erratic than before.
He didn't speak.
The moon outside the window has shifted a little further to the west.
However, Wayne soon saw the explosive information.
[Live feed of Wilford House - Front Hall]
[Ace Wilford - Current Status: Standing in the center of the foyer, blocking Leon's way, facing his parents. His expression is as if he's just swallowed a whole egg, unable to swallow it or spit it out.]
[Leon's current status: He's being held by two guards, his face is pale, and his lips are trembling. It's not because he's afraid of being captured, but because what Ace just said was too shameful. But it's the truth.]
[Note: This was a turning point no one anticipated. Three days ago, Ace was a lost young man who had run away from home. Three days later, he returned with a paladin who was "pregnant with his child." Wilford had only one thought in his mind: Which demon has taken over my son's body?]
[Note: Leon's transformation into a woman occurs every night. As soon as the sun sets, his body begins to change. His bones shrink, his Adam's apple disappears, his chest develops, and his voice becomes higher-pitched. The entire process lasts about fifteen minutes. He returns to normal at dawn. The witch's curse is as precise as a clock. Leon has now transformed into a woman.]
Wayne stared at the few lines of text on the panel, utterly speechless.
He put down the scriptures and leaned against the headboard.
Pregnant.
Paladin.
male.
How are these words put together?
Wayne really couldn't understand it.
Wayne closed his eyes, but the panel didn't disappear; a new message popped up.
[Additional Information: Leon is indeed pregnant. She didn't conceive in Frosttown, but on the way back. Ace and Leon passed through a dark forest on their return journey and encountered an old woman on a forest path. She wore a black cloak, leaned on a twisted wooden staff, and had a face covered in wrinkles. The old woman blocked their path, saying that Leon possessed a demonic aura and that she would "purify" him. Ace refused. But the old woman didn't leave; she stared at Leon for a long time, then smiled and said something strange: "Since you won't let me purify him, then let something else purify him." Then she disappeared. That night, Leon began to vomit. The next morning, his belly was noticeably larger.]
[Note: Witch. Not sorceress. Witches are born with magical powers, while witches are humans who cultivate magic later in life. Witches' power comes from their bloodline, while witches' power comes from knowledge. There is no hierarchical relationship between witch cults and witch communities; they cooperate occasionally, clash occasionally, but most of the time they go their separate ways. Witches' magic is incredibly diverse; some can heal, some can kill, and some can impregnate, regardless of whether the impregnator is male or female.]
The front hall of the mayor's residence was brightly lit.
Wilford sat in the main seat, his fingers gripping the armrests until his knuckles turned white. Celine stood beside him, one hand on the back of the chair, the other clutching a handkerchief, which was now crumpled into a ball.
Two guards supported Leon, who stood in the middle, his face flickering in the candlelight. At this moment, he had completely transformed into a woman's features; his jawline was softer, his cheekbones lowered, and even his eyelashes had grown longer.
Ace was pinned against a pillar by two other servants, his arms twisted behind his back. He struggled twice but couldn't break free, and gasped, "Father! You can't lock him up!"
Wilford ignored him.
His gaze lingered on Leon, scanning her from head to toe, then back up again. Finally, it settled on her lower abdomen, where a slight bulge stretched Ace's spare shirt into a barely noticeable curve.
Wilford stood up and walked over to Leon.
Are you a man or a woman?
Leon's lips moved slightly.
"A man by day, a woman by night."
"What about the child? Whose child is the child?"
Leon did not answer.
Wilford turned around and walked back to his seat. He placed his hands on the armrests, looked at the ceiling, and remained silent for a long time. Finally, he sighed and spoke.
"It seems we have no choice but to go to Bishop Wayne."
Celine twisted her handkerchief around her fingertips.
"Now?"
"Tomorrow!"
Wilford waved to the people below.
"Take them all away!"
Immediately afterwards, Ace and Leon were taken away.
Wilford glanced at Celine and said.
"Let's talk alone!"
The two walked through the corridor.
Soon, the study door closed.
With his back to Celine, Wilfair got straight to the point.
"Cerene, my respected wife. You know, in my eyes, you are not a woman who arouses my passion..."
