Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong
Chapter 106 An Unexpected Contract
Three minutes later.
Kai'Sa stopped moving.
It's not that I don't want to move.
It cannot be moved.
The magical element spread throughout her body.
The panel popped up.
[Kasha Anri - Current Status]
[Result: You won. Not with strength, but with water element. Her fourth-tier physical body withstood all your punches, but not your penetration.]
[Note: She has been dead for two hundred years, and her nerves have long since rotted away, but water elements have replaced them, and this corpse is "coming back to life."]
[Note 2: Her fragmented thoughts were contemplating a question. Did the goddess let her die in this frozen land just so that this day would come?]
Mayfair stood to the side and watched the whole thing.
Her expression shifted from tension to confusion, from confusion to disbelief, and from disbelief to something indescribable. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but then didn't know what to say.
"Mr. Wayne."
"Um."
"What... happened to her?"
"I'm impressed."
"You give up?"
"Hmm." Wayne flexed his numb fingers. "Begin your necromancy channeling!"
Mayfair squatted down and began drawing circles.
It wasn't drawn with a compass; it was a casual, crooked stroke, like a child's drawing of the sun. Several symbols were drawn inside the circle, all crooked and uneven, but each stroke carried the chilling aura unique to necromancy.
She bit her fingertip and dripped three drops of blood onto the symbol.
Blood seeped into the soil.
"In the name of the dead, I call you back."
no response.
Mayfair frowned and read it again.
Still no response.
She took a deep breath, placed her hand on Kasha's head, and raised her voice by half an octave: "Kasha Anri, you've been dead for two hundred years. It's time to go home."
Kasha's body jolted.
A wisp of grayish-white gas emerged from her chest, swirled twice in the air, and then abruptly retreated.
Kasha opened her eyes.
Her eyes lit up.
She looked at Mayfair.
Mayfair looked at her.
The two stared at each other for three seconds.
Then Kaisa's body jerked violently, her waist arched upwards as if struck from the inside, and she fell heavily back to the ground.
Mayfair paused for a moment.
"What's wrong with her?"
Wayne did not answer.
He sensed the fluctuations in the elements.
It's possible that too many elements had accumulated in Kai'Sa's body, causing a violent reaction the moment her soul returned.
Kasha arched her back again, even harder than before. Grayish-white air surged from her chest, as if something had exploded inside her, like a series of small explosions. Her fingers dug ten furrows into the grass, her whole body arching like a bridge.
Mayfair squatted to the side, at a loss for what to do.
"Mr. Wayne, what's wrong with her...?"
"The elemental rejection reaction when the soul returns to its rightful place."
"Rejection reaction?"
"Hmm." Wayne crouched down and glanced at Kasha. "Her body is readjusting to her soul, and my elements have acted as a catalyst in this process."
After a century of erosion, Kai'Sa has long since lost her clothes.
Mayfair blushed. She naturally understood the implication. No, no, no… she not only understood, she also saw it. She saw the waves of soul and flesh being reshaped.
Mayfair then stood up and looked at Wayne.
"A contract, I should sign a contract with her."
Wayne nodded.
Mayfair crouched down again, and necromancy incantations flowed from her mouth. It wasn't the common language; it was the language of the dead, each syllable carrying a rhythm that didn't belong to the living.
Kasha's body quieted down.
"Kasha Anri." Mayfair's voice became formal. "I, Mayfair, a necromancer chosen by the gods, hereby enter into a necromancer pact with you. You will become my guardian corpse, obeying my commands and protecting my safety until your soul completely dissipates."
She paused.
"In exchange, I will fulfill your unfinished wish and avenge you. I will kill those who betrayed and abandoned you two hundred years ago."
These were the conditions she had prepared.
revenge.
All the guardian corpses fall for this trick.
The deeper the resentment, the harder it is to let go, and the more one needs a living person to complete the unfinished business of their previous life. Kasha's resentment stemmed from the betrayal of her companions; when she died, they all fled. Those who ran away two hundred years ago, their bones have rotted away, but their descendants still exist.
Mayfair spent three days checking the family tree, finding the records from the archives in Frosttown, and identifying the descendants of those deserters one by one, writing down their names, addresses, and occupations clearly.
This is her bargaining chip.
Kasha closed her eyes.
She shook her head.
Mayfair paused for a moment.
"No?"
Kasha opened her eyes and shook her head again. Her message was clear: her contract condition was not revenge.
"Then what do you want?" Mayfair asked.
Kasha's gaze fell on Wayne.
It's obvious that it has a hidden meaning.
A moment later, Mayfair opened her eyes, turned to look at Wayne, and spoke to him.
"Mr. Wayne."
"Um?"
"Kasha's contract condition is not revenge."
Wayne looked at her.
"What is that?"
Mayfair's ears began to turn red, spreading from her earlobes to her auricles, clearly visible in the moonlight.
She said... she wants you.
Wayne fell silent.
Mayfair showed him the mark on the back of her hand.
"The contract has been signed. Her condition is: she wants you. If I break the contract, I will suffer severe consequences."
Her voice softened.
"Mr. Wayne, please help me."
The panel popped up.
[Mayfair - Contract Details]
[Contract Type: Master-Servant Necromancer Contract. Contract Content: Kasha wants you. Not "want" your life, but literally. She's been dead for two hundred years, and her greatest regret in life was... Now she has a second chance, and she doesn't intend to wait any longer.]
[Note: Kai'Sa's logic is simple. If she wins, you are her prey. If you win, you are her sub-master. Regardless of who wins, she wants you. Winning or losing is just a matter of posture; the outcome remains the same.]
[Note 2: Mayfair's mindset: an unexpected surprise; she never expected that the guardian corpse's requirements would align with her own desires.]
[Note: Generally, the pact between a necromancer and the undead requires the joint effort of both master and servant.]
[Note: Under your water element stimulation, Kai'Sa's body has been reactivated. She now has fair skin, smooth hair, no body odor, and is no different from a normal person. She's even cleaner than a normal person, considering she hasn't eaten for two hundred years; her intestines are empty.]
Wayne looked at the "Alternative" option on the panel.
Speechless, yet with a hint of... anticipation?
Ok!
He admitted he had misunderstood...
