Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 1 The Priest Adored by the Noblewoman

The Church of Audrey.

The confessional.

Across from Wayne sat a woman who looked nervous. Through the small window, it was clear that her neckline was very low, and her soft breasts swayed so drastically they were almost blinding.

This is the woman's fifth time here.

Wayne was quite helpless.

Is the addiction that strong?

The woman said shyly.

"Father, I have sinned."

"Tell me, child."

The woman bit her lip and whispered.

"I am... the viscount's wet nurse, but... but the young viscount is still breastfeeding, and... we... we did something that shouldn't have happened."

Wayne fell silent.

The woman lowered her head, her fingers tightening even more:

"But that's not the worst part. Father, I... I want to see other men every day. The blacksmith walking down the street, the fishmonger at the market, even... the knight passing by the church. I can't control myself, I feel like a..."

"What does it look like?" Wayne finally asked.

The woman's face turned bright red.

"Like, like a horny slut..."

She didn't say anything more.

At this moment, the woman was filled with shame, a feeling that became even more pronounced within the church.

However, Wayne knew that her real purpose in coming here was not to repent, but to look out over the waves from the mountaintop.

"Father, what should I do? Am I possessed by a demon? Can you still give me guidance like before?"

Wayne didn't answer. He reached out and slipped his hand through the gap, placing his palm over the woman's hand.

Immediately afterwards, the magic in the air began to tremble.

"Father Wayne, what's wrong with me...?"

"Quiet," Wayne said softly. "Feel it."

The woman closed her eyes.

A few breaths later, she felt completely relieved. When she opened her eyes again, her gaze was much clearer, and she felt refreshed, as if she had just finished a set of calisthenics.

"Oh! Thank you for the guidance of the goddess."

Wayne withdrew his hand.

"Go, Lord's forgiveness, and never come again."

The woman eventually left.

As she prepared to leave, she glanced at the dusty chair, wiped it off casually, and then quickly pushed open the door and went out.

The door had just closed when it was pushed open from the outside.

A middle-aged man walked in and was about to sit down when he saw the overturned vase and suddenly stopped.

Wayne remained expressionless, his hands clasped on his knees.

"The person who was confessing just now was too emotional and accidentally knocked over the vase. It's alright, please sit down, I've already had her clean it up."

The man said "Oh," and carefully tiptoed over to sit in the spot where the woman had just been sitting.

Wayne looked at him, his tone as gentle as ever.

"Speak, my child."

……

Wayne saw off seven penitents today.

He has been in this world for twenty years.

In his past life, he was hit by a dump truck that ran a red light. In the blink of an eye, he became an unfavored illegitimate son in the Earl's mansion.

He knows he's handsome.

At first, he didn't care about anything, until... when he was ten years old, he overheard his father's conversation with the butler.

"That child is looking more and more like his mother," the old count's voice came from the crack in the study door. "In a few years, if we give him to that old duke in the north, we should be able to get a decent fiefdom in return."

The butler smiled ingratiatingly: "Your Excellency is wise. The Duke will surely be pleased with Young Master Wayne's appearance."

What?

His own father wanted to give him to an old duke.

The main thing is, he's a man!

That night, his back door remained tightly shut all night.

The next day he inquired and learned that his father was just the second son of a declining knightly family when he was young, and had nothing. Later, he was taken in by a nobleman and "served" him. A few years later, the nobleman died unexpectedly, and in his will, he left his title and land to his son.

Later he figured it out.

A man who became a count by selling his ass would naturally have no qualms about selling his son.

When Wayne was fourteen, he volunteered to serve the goddess. The old count looked very displeased, but the church was not a place he could easily interfere with. Especially since Wayne had chosen a small border town like Audrian, far from the emperor's reach, no matter how far his reach was, it wouldn't be enough.

On the day he left, the old count didn't even bother to see him off.

Wayne didn't turn around.

Speaking of water magic, he awakened this talent three years ago, but it wasn't until he officially started cultivating it at the age of eighteen that he discovered something was wrong with his water magic.

Others' water magic: attack, defense, control.

His water magic: healing, purification, soothing... and some effects that are not convenient to write in church reports. For example, mountains and waves?

The only downside is that it can't hit people.

He tried it; the water arrows he condensed and shot out couldn't even pierce a rabbit, let alone penetrate leather armor.

Three years.

He still didn't understand what kind of magic this was.

But the ladies of Audrian figured it out!

When Wayne was just a lowly priest, the first person to study and understand water magic was a widow who had lost her husband.

At that time, the woman came to church to complain, crying her heart out. For some reason, he reached out and took her hand, casting a water spell to soothe her emotions.

The widow remembered the miraculous effect.

She started coming every week after that.

Later, Wayne's fame spread further and further.

Three years later, he became the youngest priest in Audrey's history, especially popular with noblewomen, for no other reason than:

This priest is really capable.

But today, the atmosphere in the church is a bit off.

As soon as Wayne came out of the confessional, he saw two overseers in black robes standing at the end of the corridor. They usually only frequented the cathedral district, and when they came to this small border town, they usually had only one purpose.

"Father Wayne." The middle-aged man at the head of the group nodded slightly, his face expressionless. "The Vice-Bishop requests your presence."

Wayne smoothed out the wrinkles on the cuffs of his robe.

"Now?"

"Now."

He followed the two through the side aisle toward the office area in the church's back courtyard. The novice monks they encountered along the way bowed their heads and gave way, their eyes filled with a mixture of pity and curiosity.

Wayne appeared calm, but his mind was racing.

Archdeacon Casa—that bald old fox—had been trying to get his nephew into the Church of Audrian three years ago, to be the only priest in the church with a vacancy.

As a result, in three years, Wayne doubled the number of believers in this small border town and tripled the amount of donations, firmly securing his position as a priest.

Casa has never found an opportunity to deal with him, and now that he has suddenly sent someone to "invite" him, it is probably not a good thing.

Passing through an archway, the three stopped in front of the archdeacon's temporary office. The inspector knocked on the door, and a deep "Come in" came from inside.

Wayne pushed open the door and entered.

Casa sat behind the oak table, a parchment document in his hand. He glanced up at Wayne, a barely perceptible smile playing on his lips.

"Father Wayne, please sit down."

Wayne didn't sit down.

"What brings the Archdeacon to me?"
