Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, International VIP Terminal.

The afternoon sunlight streamed through the huge floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall, illuminating the spacious and bright VIP lounge.

The Shenzhen Municipal Government held a high-level welcoming ceremony for the EMAS delegation at the airport.

Led by Mayor Xu, several vice mayors in charge of economy, investment promotion, and science and technology, as well as leaders from relevant bureaus and offices, were already present. They were all dressed in suits and ties, with polite smiles on their faces, and talking in hushed tones.

The province also sent a secretary-general to show its importance.

As the district head of Luohu District, Lu Jingxiang stood at the back, but because the renovation project he was leading had a potential overlap with the possible investment direction of Aimas, he was also considered to be among the core welcoming team.

His gaze fell on Mu Xueke, who was talking quietly with Mayor Xu in front of him.

Mu Xueke changed into a perfectly tailored pearl white suit with a light gray cashmere coat. Her long hair was elegantly styled up, revealing her beautiful, fair neck. Her makeup was exquisite and understated, and her demeanor was composed and unhurried. When talking with Mayor Xu, she was focused and occasionally nodded. Her speech and behavior showed both the elegance of a young woman and the composure of a leader of a large corporation.

Mu Yunhai's daughter does resemble her father somewhat!

Top-notch looks and demeanor, and his abilities seem quite good as well...

Unfortunately, she's a woman, and she just returned from abroad...

If Ah Ming were more ambitious, kept himself clean, and made a name for himself in the business world with a good reputation, he might be able to find a way to bring them together, which would be a good thing and extremely beneficial to the Lu family.

But now... humph!

The thought crossed his mind, but he quickly suppressed it.

Lu Shiming's behavior in recent years and his defeat this morning made him realize that this was probably just wishful thinking.

His gaze shifted slightly, landing on the young man half a step behind Mu Xueke.

The man was wearing a suit and a white shirt, but no tie, which made him look a little casual. However, he stood there with an upright posture and a quiet demeanor, showing that he knew how to behave appropriately.

This is Chen Geng? He looks... quite ordinary.

His appearance was decent, but not stunning; his temperament was calm, but he didn't have any imposing sharpness.

Is this the kind of person who caused Ah Ming's downfall?

Either Ah Ming is too stupid, or... this person is extremely cunning!

Having navigated the official and business worlds for decades, Lu Jingxiang knew all too well that those who appeared ordinary yet whose true nature was hard to fathom were often the ones who required the most vigilance.

But Chen Geng seemed to sense something, his gaze inadvertently sweeping in his direction, their eyes meeting briefly. Chen Geng's gaze then naturally shifted away, returning to the group of people talking ahead.

Lu Jingxiang's vigilance increased, but he maintained the gentle, slightly distant smile characteristic of officials. He made no move to greet them, instead turning to exchange pleasantries with the secretary-general.

A temporary command center near the airport air traffic control tower.

Unlike the "gentle breeze and light rain" of the VIP lounge below, this place has been temporarily transformed into Lang Hehe's on-site command center.

The huge screen displayed real-time monitoring footage of key areas of the airport, flight information, and eight slightly blurred but distinctive portraits that had been technically processed—the disguised identities of the eight-person infiltration team of the "Green Hell Legion" provided by Chen Geng's intelligence.

Lang Hehe was still wearing the same camouflage combat uniform without any markings, but he had put on a tactical vest over it.

Through the headset, the reports from each group came through in the lowest volume and the most concise language.

"Group A reports that Target 1, disguised as a member of a cultural heritage inspection team, flight CX987, has passed through customs and entered baggage claim area 3, and is waiting for his luggage. No unusual behavior has been observed."

"Group B reports that targets 2 and 3 hold European business visas, are on flight LH789, and were buying coffee in the arrival hall café. They appeared relaxed, but their eyes repeatedly scanned the exits and the positions of security personnel."

"Group C reports: Targets 4, 5, and 6, international students, are on different flights and have met at the designated assembly point. They are following the guides to the parking lot, and their vehicles are under surveillance."

"Group D reports: Target 7, business visa, flight KE123, spent a slightly longer time in the restroom. We have dispatched personnel to approach and conduct reconnaissance."

"Team E reports: Target 8 is posing as a senior executive of a multinational consulting firm. Flight SQ345 has landed and is taxiing. Note that first-class passengers on this flight enjoy expedited customs clearance and a dedicated shuttle service."

Lang Hehe rapidly tapped his fingers on the control panel, bringing up the parking position and VIP access route map for flight SQ345.

"Notify the VIP lounge and shuttle bus pick-up points to increase vigilance. The target is a professional who may exploit the relatively wide and fast-moving VIP lounge. Coordinate with the police closely; if the target is likely to approach the Shenzhen airport pick-up team, authorization is granted for immediate, no-warning kills!"

Inside the VIP lounge below, the process was proceeding smoothly.

Mayor Xu glanced at his watch and whispered something to the staff around him.

The staff immediately confirmed with the airport via walkie-talkie.

Soon, a ground crew member came in and whispered, "Mayor Xu, Mr. Emmas's Gulfstream G700 has landed and is taxiing to the designated VIP position. It will arrive in about five minutes."

Mayor Xu nodded and smiled at Mu Xueke and the other business representatives, saying, "Gentlemen, our distinguished guests are arriving soon. Let's move to the covered bridge!"

Everyone straightened their clothes and, guided by staff, proceeded in an orderly fashion through a dedicated passage to the jet bridge exit connecting the VIP lounge and the helipad.

A red carpet had already been laid out, and some authorized media reporters were already waiting there.

Chen Geng followed beside Mu Xueke, his gaze seemingly casually sweeping over the surroundings.

As he passed a fork in the road, he noticed two "staff members"—who appeared to be wearing airport ground staff uniforms but were unusually fit—"politely" inviting a foreign man in a casual suit who looked somewhat agitated into the staff entrance of the regular arrivals area across the street.

The man appeared to resist, but was immediately knocked down by the "staff" and dragged inside.

His movements were fluid and natural; if Chen Geng hadn't known beforehand, he would have hardly noticed anything unusual.

Chen Geng's heart skipped a beat: "They've already started closing in? The military is moving very quickly!"

After reaching the glass curtain wall at the exit of the jet bridge, you'll have a wide view and a clear view of the helipad.

Not far away, a Gulfstream G700 jet bearing the silver winged logo of the EMAS Group was being slowly towed to its VIP parking position. Further down the runway, other passenger planes were taking off and landing continuously.

While waiting, Chen Geng looked through the glass and saw two seemingly ordinary black vans silently blocking an airport minibus that was about to leave at a corner of the airport road below.

Several plainclothes officers quickly got off the bus. The doors of the minibus opened, and three people who looked like Southeast Asian tourists were quickly taken off the bus and put into a van. The whole process took less than twenty seconds. The minibus then drove away, and the van quickly merged into traffic.

Other vehicles passed by, but no one seemed to notice this brief moment.
