Jing Shu ultimately chose a cat.

Unlike the one Lu Mingfei adopted, this cat should be called a "British Shorthair" on Earth—or rather, the cat from "Tom and Jerry".

Does that mean you can instantly connect the images to the screen?

Lu Mingfei led Mao and Jing Shu back to the dormitory. The day's back and forth had made them quite late—but thankfully, if he were to deliberately seek out a failed card-making attempt, Lu Mingfei felt he didn't need to make too many preparations:

Why not just draw the most basic transmutation circle, then make a cut on the pattern of the magic card, and use it directly for transmutation?

But once he finished drawing the transmutation circle, this "slicing" really stumped him:

"How do I draw the lines, from where and to where, so that this transmutation array can both be created and destroyed?"

Lu Mingfei fell into deep thought.

The excessive knowledge in his mind had formed a kind of constraint at this moment: no matter how he scratched, the basics of the transmutation circle would still be there. With his transmutation skills, he could actually ignore very small scratches—if the scratches were very large?

He rubbed his fingers together, shook off the debris, and channeled magic power into the magic card, causing the array diagrams to light up one by one—

Perhaps the array was too intricate, as his magic flow was incredibly slow—until nearly three minutes later, when the entire magic card shone brightly:

Lu Mingfei then emptied the entire backpack and poured all the white paper into the alchemy array in one go.

They threw in the cane, which looked like a work of art, along with it.

The transmutation array slowly rotated, and images of magical energy vaporized in mid-air—gradually transforming into a scene resembling a constellation of stars:

Countless tiny black holes simultaneously sucked in magical power, yet the magical power seemed inexhaustible. Looking at the scene, so vast it almost filled the entire room, Lu Mingfei suddenly felt there was something amiss:

"Am I doing something wrong? Why do I have to pursue failure in the forging process? Can't I just wait for success and then discard the card?"

Lu Mingfei asked himself this question in his mind, and then couldn't help but chuckle:

If he truly masters it, would he still be willing to break the card? If that card is indeed extremely powerful, would he still stick to his original intention instead of continuing to refine other things around that card?

Overcorrection? Correction often requires overcorrection; anything less is insufficient...

Lu Mingfei took a deep breath, immediately grabbed the card-making pen on the table, and stabbed at the card that was still being forged.

The card was still in the process of being forged, yet a transparent barrier had appeared out of nowhere on it. Lu Mingfei's sharp card-making pen struck it, but couldn't pierce through this barrier that shimmered with a soft, glowing light—

"How did it succeed in being forged? No, what will it become if it's forged like this?"

Lu Mingfei asked himself, but couldn't come up with even a reasonable guess. Suddenly, the starscape changed—countless tiny stars shone brightly, swallowing all the magic power at the same time.

The magical imagery faded, and before the final cards were even formed, the corresponding interface appeared on the web:
