Dragon Ball: My power level has been maxed out!
Chapter 68 You want me, the prince, to be your underling?
The village is small, with several buildings scattered across a blue lawn, surrounded by a few twisted Namekian trees.
"Snapped!"
Solo descended from the sky, landing on the ground in the center of the village with a soft thud as his toes touched the ground.
Vegeta also slowly landed, standing a step behind Soro.
Upon seeing the two people who suddenly appeared, the expressions of the many Namekians present changed drastically.
Several Namekians shielded the children behind them, while a young Namekian stepped forward to block them, his fists clenched, his eyes fixed on Zoro and Vegeta.
"Hello." Solo greeted them with a kind smile, his gaze falling on one of the elderly men, a gentle curve forming at the corners of his lips. "I am Solo, and I know your Grand Elder."
He paused.
"The Grand Elder sent me to tell you to leave here immediately!"
"Elder?" The elder was slightly taken aback, his cloudy eyes lingering on Solo's face for a second.
"A cosmic emperor named Frieza has come to this planet and is searching for the Dragon Balls. He's already killed the villagers of several villages," Soro said truthfully, his gaze sweeping over the Namekians present. "They'll find this place soon. What you need to do now is find a place to hide immediately to avoid being found by them."
"It seems you are telling the truth." The elder nodded silently, a hint of trust flashing in his cloudy eyes. "I can clearly sense that there is no evil in your heart."
He paused, turned around, and called out to the villagers present, raising his arm high and speaking in a loud voice: "Did you all hear that? Put down what you're doing and let's go hide in the mountains over there right now!"
The villagers present all silently agreed, and no one raised any objections.
The young helped the old, some picked up children, and everyone began to move away from the place in an orderly manner, their steps quick but not chaotic.
Before leaving, the elder took out a dragon ball from his robes, held it in both hands, and handed it to Solo.
"Mr. Zoro," the elder asked, looking directly at Zoro, "shouldn't the Grand Elder have instructed us to hand over the Dragon Balls to you?"
"Yes." Soro nodded, taking the Dragon Ball with both hands. "Then I won't be polite."
"Please keep this dragon pearl safe." The elder said solemnly, clasping his hands together in front of him.
"Don't worry." Zoro smiled slightly, holding the Dragon Balls to his chest. "The Grand Elder also entrusted the Dragon Balls to us for safekeeping. However, we only have two Dragon Balls at the moment; the remaining five should be with Frieza."
"The peace of Namek..." the elder said again, his voice tinged with earnestness, "is in your hands."
"Go quickly." Solo let out a long sigh, his gaze turning heavy. "I'm afraid all that's left of the Namekians is your village and the elders."
"What?" The elder's expression changed repeatedly.
His lips trembled slightly, and he realized the seriousness of the situation.
Immediately, the elder led the villagers away from the village and headed into the distant mountains.
Only Zoro and Vegeta remained in the open space of the village.
Solo turned around to face Vegeta.
He looked down at the Dragon Ball in his hand, then looked up again and casually tossed it towards Vegeta.
"Here, take it."
The Dragon Ball traced a parabola in the air, spinning as it flew towards Vegeta.
Vegeta instinctively reached out and caught the Dragon Ball with both hands, his fingers gripping the sphere.
He held the Dragon Ball in his hands, lowered his head, and examined it carefully.
An orange-yellow sphere, red stars, with a warm, smooth texture.
"This...this is the Dragon Ball?" Vegeta was taken aback, his brow furrowing. "What are you giving this to me for?"
"Of course, you're the one holding it," Solo said casually, arms crossed, chin slightly raised. "From now on, you'll be my underling."
Vegeta's body suddenly froze.
His mouth twitched violently, and his entire face was contorted.
His fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles cracked, and the veins on his arms bulged out.
"You...you want me, the prince, to be your underling!"
Vegeta clenched his fists tightly, his fingers sinking into his palms, and his body began to convulse violently again, shaking from his shoulders to his toes, like a malfunctioning machine.
"Oh, by the way, if you're lucky, I can let you make a wish," Solo said with a smile.
"What...what did you say?" Vegeta's pupils contracted, and his body stiffened abruptly, thinking he had misheard.
His brow furrowed slightly, and his gaze swept back and forth across Solo's face twice, trying to find a trace of a joke on that smiling face.
"The Namekian Dragon Balls can grant three wishes," Zoro said with a smile, arms crossed and chin slightly raised. "My initial plan is one wish for me, one wish for Goku and the others... I don't have any other wishes for now. If you behave well, I can grant you one wish."
Vegeta felt that happiness had come too suddenly, and his brain was spinning so fast it was practically smoking.
His eyes widened, reflecting Solo's image in his pupils, and his lips parted slightly before closing again.
This is indeed a great opportunity!
The Dragon Balls can grant three wishes!
How come I didn't know?
Okay, the Dragon Balls here seem to be a bit different from the Dragon Balls on Earth.
According to Zoro, the Dragon Balls on Earth can only grant one wish.
Since three wishes can be fulfilled here...
If I behave well, I can also have one wish granted!
My wish is simple: to make Vegeta a Super Saiyan.
Once I, Vegeta, become a Super Saiyan, I'll crush Zoro and Goku into the ground.
Vegeta's lips slowly curled into a dangerous arc, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.
My heart was pounding in my chest, as if it were about to jump out of my chest cavity.
"Hmph." Vegeta snorted, raising his chin slightly to try and appear less agitated. "Then it's decided, just like that."
He nodded silently, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down, his heart filled with increasing excitement, his fingers trembling slightly.
"Vegeta," Soro asked with a smile, tilting his head, "what do you plan to wish for?"
"Of course I want immortality," Vegeta replied without hesitation, his voice crisp and clear.
He pursed his lips.
In reality, Vegeta sees immortality as not being of much use at the moment.
If you can't beat the other party, they'll lock you up somewhere, and that's worse than death.
Only by becoming a Super Saiyan can one rule the entire universe.
Aren't Super Saiyans the most powerful warriors in the universe?
Vegeta lowered his gaze, a sly glint in his eyes.
"That's a good wish." Solo stroked his chin, running his fingers along it a couple of times. "Do your best."
He paused for a moment, then said, "Let's go."
"Okay," Vegeta replied, his tone tinged with impatience.
"Bang!"
However, just as Vegeta finished speaking, Solo delivered a spectacular side kick.
His body suddenly spun around, and his right leg lashed out like a whip, his foot slamming heavily into Vegeta's stomach.
The force exploded from the point of impact, producing a dull thud.
