"If you want to destroy this family harmony, then they are capable of anything. So, in the end, the cause lies in your forced confinement of me here."

Fahai said, "Isn't the cause because they are demons?"

Wu Qing said, "They were originally snakes, which is their nature, just as we are born as humans. Their cultivation is a process of continuous self-improvement, just like your martial arts practice, Master."

"All living beings under heaven strive for self-improvement. Even when I studied medicine, it was initially just to acquire a skill so that I could live better in this world, much like cultivation or martial arts."

"If nature and self-reliance are miscalculated, how many millions in this world are wrong? Therefore, the real cause lies in your inability to distinguish right from wrong today, Master."

Master Fahai said, "Even so! It is your responsibility to heal the sick and save lives, and it is my responsibility to exterminate demons and subdue monsters."

"I have seen many demons harm people. To see a demon and not kill it is like you, as a doctor, standing by and not saving someone in distress."

Without further argument, he turned and said, "Please invite Doctor Qing to the guest room and treat him well."

That night, Wu Qing rested in a guest room at Jinshan Temple. There were martial monks watching outside, so he couldn't go out.

Moreover, he suspected that if he went out, it would only further escalate the conflict.

At this point in the story, anything the protagonist does to try and ease the conflict only exacerbates it... This is how many movies and TV shows are portrayed.

The problem is, this world isn't actually a dream!

At dawn, a rumbling sound suddenly came from outside.

"The water is rising! The water is rising!" monks shouted everywhere.

"Fire? Where's the fire?" someone shouted.

"It's not fire, it's water! Jinshan Temple is flooded."

"Are you kidding me? Our Jinshan Temple is on the mountain... Oh my god, is it really flooded? Flooded! Flooded!"

"Those two monsters again!"

Wu Qing jumped up, threw on his clothes, and rushed out.

Two monks stopped him, and Wu Qing listened intently to the deafening roar outside.

"Master, I do not wish to be an enemy of your Jinshan Temple. Please release my husband. Otherwise, we will flood Jinshan Temple today." Bai Niangzi's soft voice, tinged with anger yet trying to suppress her emotions, came from outside the mountain.

Boom!

The sound of Fahai's staff striking the ground.

"A demon is a demon! You think you can make Jinshan Temple submit like this!" Fahai roared. "I'll take this opportunity to make sure you two snake demons never leave alive."

"Sister, this bald monk is completely unreasonable. There's no need to argue with him. Let's flood this dilapidated temple and rescue our husband."

Wu Qing saw from the doorway that a large amount of river water was rushing down from the sky.

Immediately afterwards, a golden robe shot up and transformed into layers of translucent bricks, blocking the ever-rising floodwaters outside.

The fighting outside continued and became chaotic, making him anxious and uneasy, yet he was completely unable to intervene.

Bang! A loud explosion rang out.

A torrent rushed in from the other side, crashing wildly through the courtyards.

"Block it! Block it quickly!" The other monks rushed forward in a panic.

Two loud thuds.

Two martial monks beside Wu Qing suddenly flew out and crashed into the wall.

Wu Qing turned around and saw a swirl of green shadows. Xiao Qing, dressed in green, appeared gracefully.

"Brother Aqing, come with me!" Xiaoqing grabbed him, transformed into a snake shadow, half-human and half-snake, and rushed out.

Wu Qing could hear Xiao Qing's cursing coming from outside the mountain.

"Green Snake! Green Snake!" a martial monk shouted upon seeing them. "The Green Snake has run in."

"So it was just a feint attack!" Fahai snorted angrily.

Immediately following, another burst of golden light and torrents erupted outside.

Xiaoqing grabbed Wu Qing with incredible speed, dodging all the martial monks who tried to intercept her.

Soon, she led Wu Qing out of the temple and rushed forward.

With a bang, the white water gushed down along the golden crack.

Xiaoqing led Wu Qing into the water.

"Trying to escape?" Fahai shouted again, and his enormous staff slashed at her.

"Don't even think about it!" came the voice of Lady White Snake.

With a deafening roar, a burst of brilliant light erupted.

The surrounding torrents collapsed and swept in all directions.

"Oh no, sister can't control the water anymore!" Xiaoqing revealed her several-zhang-long demonic form and rushed towards Bai Niangzi.

Wu Qing saw the collapsing floodwaters rushing towards the nearby town.

"My lady, don't hurt the people," he called out, looking up.

During the flooding of Jinshan Temple, the floodwaters went out of control and swept into the town, killing many innocent people. This is the most serious mistake made by Bai Suzhen in various versions of the Legend of the White Snake.

More importantly, this is not a simple dream; this world actually exists.

Lady White glanced at him, then put two fingers together in front of her chest, forcefully channeling her magic.

Xiaoqing rushed forward, and Wu Qing caught Xiaobai as she fell.

Xiao Bai trembled in his arms, her delicate body shaking as she cast spells.

Xiao Qing, having revealed her true form, led them to flee into the distance.

"Go down the mountain and rescue the people!" Fahai roared. "Exterminate the demons completely! I'm going to rescue Doctor Qing and get rid of these two monsters who are harming people with their water."

He carried his staff, and with a burst of golden light, he pursued relentlessly.

In the chaos, Xiaoqing could not tell which way to go. After passing through several mountain ridges, she came to a pagoda ahead.

"You've actually dug yourselves into a deadly situation and fled to the foot of Leifeng Pagoda!" Fahai roared. "Perfect timing, you two demons will be executed right here and now."

He grabbed Wu Qing with his hand, and a large golden palm instantly pulled him back.

"My lord!" Xiao Bai reached out to Wu Qing and screamed.

A powerful suction force pulled them toward the ground, slamming them down hard.

"Rise, Pagoda!" Fahai lifted his hand, and Leifeng Pagoda shone with golden light, spinning wildly in the air as it descended upon the two snake sisters.

Wu Qing had already been grabbed by that golden hand and separated from them.

As Leifeng Pagoda crashed down like a mountain, carrying a golden aura, he suddenly broke free and rushed towards Xiaobai and Xiaoqing.

Fahai's expression changed slightly: "Doctor Qing, come out quickly."

Wu Qing rushed to Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing's side, trying to pull them away, but the mysterious suction force held the two demons together, making it impossible for them to escape.

"My lord, you must leave quickly." Knowing there was no way to escape, Xiaobai pushed him.

"Brother Aqing, you...you leave first." Xiaoqing's face paled, and she transformed into human form, turning back to plead.

"No!" Wu Qing looked up at the tower radiating golden light. "Without you, my life has no meaning."

He held the two women in his arms and said softly, "Not just in this life, but in the next, we will be together forever."

The two women cried and tried to push him away, but they couldn't.

So they nestled together in his arms, holding him tightly.
