Conquering the Multiverse Starting with the Black Robe
Chapter 32 Urban Chase
In common understanding, the human body is certainly not as strong as metal.
This applies to superhumans as well, since most of them don't have the physical strength to be invulnerable to weapons.
Aside from its instability, v1 is considered a "god-like potion," incredibly popular, and Dr. Walter's greatest masterpiece. Immortality is even a standard feature for every original fifth-generation occupant, as it is an inherent effect.
After many years of research, the scientists at Vought International have not produced any superhumans, apart from Homelander, who can rival Soldier Boy and Bomb Vision.
Even a force as powerful as Homelander was an enhanced version created through genetic experiments, with Chief Scientist Vogelbaum personally leading the team and extracting the genes of the soldier.
But ultimately, it still benefited from the achievements of our predecessors.
For years, Vought has been stuck in a rut, unable to make any breakthroughs. Of course, the main reason is that their goal is no longer to focus on creating the most powerful superhumans, but to turn to running a business.
The times have changed.
In the eyes of Vought's top brass, superhumans do not need to be as powerful as God, nor can they be as powerful as God. What they want are controllable and diverse "products" to profit from.
Throughout the entire series, there are only a handful of superhumans whose physical strength can be described as monstrous. Apart from Homelander and Invisible Man, almost all of them were injected with the original Type 5.
Rean, as a later adopter, used an enhanced version of the original Compound V, which was particularly strong in terms of physical defense.
No wonder the locomotive looked so naive; in his mind, no one but Homelander could withstand such a blow unscathed.
"You can't even hit someone, yet you dare to call yourself a superhero." Rean looked disdainful, grabbed the deformed steel bar with his backhand, and no matter how hard the locomotive strained and turned red, it couldn't budge it an inch.
Upon witnessing this, the locomotive's pupils dilated in shock, his heart filled with unbearable horror. "Damn it! How can he be so much stronger than me?!"
Now he could understand why Xuanse was so easily defeated by the villains; his powerful physique and incredible reflexes were simply unbeatable.
"What, do you have myasthenia gravis?" Rean tilted his head slightly, looking at the somewhat dazed train engine with a mocking expression. He casually spat, and the plastic candy stick in his mouth flew out with a crack, shattering the train engine's goggles. The other party felt pain in his left eye, as he was pricked by the shards, and subconsciously let go of the train engine's goggles.
"My turn." Rean twisted the steel bar into a pretzel and tossed it aside casually, saying this indifferently. Then he raised his hand and slapped the boy across the face. His every move was like that of a strict father disciplining his rebellious son.
The moment the dough touched the palm, the locomotive felt as if its face had been struck by a giant dragon, and like a spinning top being flung away, its body spun rapidly through the air several times.
"Fuck!" The locomotive crashed to the ground, clutching its face and crying out in pain. It spat out a mouthful of bloody foam, half of its face swollen and purple. It ripped off its goggles, which had been smashed to pieces by the blow.
Rean walked up to him, half-squatting down, his tone cold, his face as frosty as ever. "Your heart is wailing, each beat draining your life force. How ironic, it seems even the fastest runner in the world can't outrun death."
The locomotive stared blankly at the person in front of it, the hairs on the back of its neck standing on end. An inexplicable fear welled up inside it, and the pressure of death loomed over it.
I'm no match for him; if I keep fighting, I'll die!
If he were to get serious, killing himself would be no more difficult than crushing an ant, Locomotive had no doubt about that.
His speed, which he was so proud of, was completely insignificant in front of his opponent. Not only that, but he was also utterly crushed in every aspect, including strength, defense, and even combat skills.
Moreover, the other party seemed to be intentionally controlling their strength, like a predator torturing its prey for amusement, holding back their force for fear of breaking the toy.
He had only ever felt this suffocating sense of powerlessness when facing his homelanders, and even more so... villains terrified and filled him with despair.
If Homelander is a capricious tyrant, then the villain in front of him, in A-Train's eyes, is simply a pervert who enjoys toying with his opponents and reveling in the thrill of battle.
escape!
The moment the idea formed in his mind, the locomotive decisively put it into action.
He suddenly sprang up, scooped up the woman with the demonic claws on the ground, and didn't dare utter a single harsh word, afraid of wasting precious time to escape. He immediately started moving at full speed and fled into the distance, crashing straight through the iron fence gate outside the station platform and plunging into the woods outside.
"Hmph, trying to escape?" Rean scoffed, leaned forward slightly, and shot off, leaving a trail of crimson smoke behind him. "Little black guy, don't forget, there's no way to beat Subway Surfers."
The high-speed flying figure instantly swept out of the abandoned station, crashed through walls and several large trees, and chased after it from afar.
boom!--
Two streaks of blue and red light, one after the other, accompanied by the sound of a siren and a violent sonic boom, instantly shattered the tranquility of the suburbs.
The two entered a tunnel, with Rean relentlessly pursuing, closely following behind the locomotive. With a wave of his hand, energy tendrils shot out along his arm, instantly covering dozens of meters before rapidly closing in and lashing the locomotive's back, leaving a bloody welt.
"Ah! Don't eat the pickled radish!"
"Faster, Niko!"
"Where did that initial arrogance go?"
"Weren't you going to make me look bad?"
"Hehe, I preferred the carefree and unrestrained you from before!"
Rean mocked him mercilessly, wielding his energy whip repeatedly. The whip wasn't very strong, but each time it just managed to tear the train engine's skin open, without rendering it incapacitated.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" The locomotive ran wildly, as if awakening some unbearable memory deep in its genes under the excruciating whipping.
Tears welled up in his eyes from the pain, but they were quickly washed away by the oncoming wind. Blood started to seep from his nostrils, his brain was buzzing and throbbing with pain, and his chest felt as if a huge rock was pressing on it. The faster he tried to breathe, the more intense the pain became.
The locomotive was filled with remorse, feeling like a complete fool.
If Homelander had been informed of this from the beginning, the outcome might not have been good, but it certainly wouldn't have been as embarrassing as it is now, and he probably wouldn't even have been able to save his life.
"Damn it, if I just get to Water Tower and find Homelander, I can take down this bastard!"
Thinking of this, the locomotive buried its head and endured Rean's whipping, gritting its teeth and persevering.
He walked through the abandoned warehouse and saw a busy overpass in the distance. He was delighted and immediately had the idea of using the crowd to his advantage.
A dozen seconds later, the locomotive rushed onto the cross-river bridge. Unexpectedly, the strong wind generated by its high speed startled a motorcycle, causing a series of chain reactions and resulting in a tragic rear-end collision involving dozens of cars.
The violent collision, the flames, and the screams... were all left far behind by the high-speed figure.
The locomotive felt a pang of guilt, but he had no time to dwell on it. He muttered "sorry" and continued racing against the flow of traffic, his panicked horn blaring incessantly.
The locomotive tilted its head slightly and glanced at Rean out of the corner of its eye. It found that Rean's figure had disappeared. Thinking that it had shaken off that troublesome guy, the huge weight in its heart was instantly lifted.
However, before he could even feel relieved, he discovered that Rean had somehow appeared directly above him.
At this moment, Rean was flying backwards in front of him, hands in his pockets, looking completely at ease, and even had the leisure to wave at him.
"Fuck! This is relentless!" The locomotive felt like it was going crazy. It rushed off the overpass and sped towards the crowds, crashing into an amusement park that was still open.
This is a theme park for people from all over the country. It happened to be a holiday, and many parents brought their children to play, making it very lively.
Everywhere you look, there are tourists with their families, and the sounds of children playing and cheerful music are constant.
However, the next second, all the laughter and joy were suppressed and torn to shreds by two terrifying gusts of wind.
"Mother!"
"My God! Is that a locomotive?"
"Look! Who's that person flying behind us? I've never seen him before!"
"I didn't see his face clearly. Did anyone see what he looks like? Is he a new hero?"
The park, next to a central fountain.
A family of four stood by the fountain, beaming with smiles, ready to take a group photo.
The father, the head of the family, held up his phone with a selfie stick, while his wife held a toddler and their eldest daughter, around ten years old, was in front of them, making a peace sign with both hands. As they counted down from three to one, the whole family shouted "Cheese!" at the same time.
The shutter is pressed, and in the next tenth of a second—
The locomotive, carrying the person, sped past like a blue lightning bolt, the resulting wind pressure directly ripping off the mother's sun hat.
In the instant the shutter clicked, Rean's figure abruptly stopped in the background.
His face appeared in the center of the frame, covered by a sun hat, making a "V" sign at the camera, with a gentle and friendly smile, as if he were just a passerby who liked to play pranks.

The photo freezes in time.
The next moment, Rean's figure disappeared, and the sun hat returned to the middle-aged woman's head.
The family was unaware of what had happened until they saw the photos they had just taken, at which point they exclaimed in surprise and discovered the unfamiliar boy in the pictures.
The man with the large belly rubbed his eyes, looked around incredulously, and said, "Oh my god, Malena... did that person in the photo just appear out of thin air?"
The locomotive sped along, while Rean maintained his own pace at a steady speed, keeping a distance of about thirty meters behind.
