The terrifying heavens inside the box

Chapter 29 Freddy Comes Knocking

It was late at night.

The streetlights cast a dim yellow glow, and the houses were scattered about, making it look like an ordinary night in a small community.

The silence was shattered by the piercing sound of sirens, and several police cars roared to a stop outside a residential building, setting up a cordon.

Tina died, and her death was extremely gruesome.

His body was covered in wounds from four sharp blades, and the blood almost stained the entire room red, with bloodstains all over the ceiling.

Nancy and Glenn were taken to the police station as witnesses. Rod, who was in the same room as Tina at the time of the incident, was identified as the murderer, escaped by jumping out of the window, and is currently being pursued by the police.

Wang Hao saw this scene through the box and frowned.

This was somewhat different from what he had expected.

He had planned to use precision tweezers to pick Freddy out as soon as he appeared.

He stared at the box for a long time, until he witnessed Tina's death, and only then did he notice the wounds that had been torn open on her body out of nowhere.

Wang Hao understood.

This isn't a movie; the box doesn't show Freddy's dream scenes.

"...This is troublesome."

"It seems the only thing we can do is find a way to get Freddy out of the dream."

He stroked his chin, carefully recalling the plot of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

There are opportunities, though.

The female protagonist, Nancy, has caught Freddy more than once.

One time it happened in the hospital, where they only managed to grab his hat. Another time it was a trap; they dragged Freddie out of his home and burned him.

The problem is, this guy is immortal! Cremation won't solve the problem at all.

"Looks like I'll have to step in."

Wang Hao stretched his wrists and prepared tools and materials at the worktable...

……

Chunmu Town, Elm Street.

In the police station, Nancy's father, Sheriff Donald Thompson, looked at his ex-wife and daughter and couldn't help but ask:

"What kind of behavior is it to go out and fool around with three kids in the middle of the night? Especially with that bastard Ryan involved!"

Sheriff Thompson stared at his daughter, his face full of anger at her lack of self-control.

Nancy hadn't recovered from the shock of her friend's tragic death when her father yelled at her, instantly bringing tears to her eyes. She could only helplessly defend herself.

"Rhodes isn't an idiot!"

"Then how do you explain what he did?" the sheriff immediately retorted.

Sitting to the side, Maggie said calmly, "He's obviously consumed by jealousy and went mad for a moment."

"Nancy said that they had been arguing before."

Nancy wiped away her tears and hurriedly clarified her parents' misunderstanding:

"It's not that serious..."

"In your eyes, murder probably isn't a serious matter," Maggie said, unmoved.

These words completely shattered Nancy's illusions, and her voice trembled:

"How did you know things would turn out like this! I mean, they weren't arguing that badly!"

Nancy took a deep breath, barely managing to compose herself, and uttered the words that stunned her parents:

"You don't know... Tina, she dreamed about this before, that it might happen."

"What?" Thompson frowned.

"She kept having nightmares, dreaming that someone was trying to kill her."

"That's why we went to keep her company!"

"She was too scared to sleep alone..."

Seeing Nancy sobbing with her head down, the sheriff could only let Maggie take her daughter home first.

But Nancy couldn't sleep at all when she got home that night.

She lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Until a noise came from outside.

Nancy tensed up instantly, gripping the blanket tightly with both hands.

After hesitating for a while, she finally got up and looked out from behind the bedroom window on the second floor.

On the lawn outside their house, something seemed to be glowing.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Nancy, barefoot and without disturbing her mother who was already asleep, quietly ran to their lawn.

I picked it up and took a look.

It was a round mirror, and next to it was a wooden sword as long as an arm.

However, just as she picked up the two items, their faint glow disappeared, making them look like common items found in antique shops.

But from the strange phenomenon just now, Nancy could vaguely guess that these two things seemed to have an extraordinary origin.

I just don't know who dumped it at their own doorstep...

Outside the box, watching Nancy pick up the two items and bring them into the house, Wang Hao smiled.

Freddy will probably love this big surprise...

One night passed.

The next day, Nancy changed her clothes and went downstairs, only to hear the news on TV that Rodney had been captured.

When Maggie saw her daughter come downstairs, she quickly reached out to turn off the TV, not wanting her to recall what happened last night.

Nancy glanced at it, said nothing, picked up her bag, and prepared to leave.

"Where are you going?" Maggie turned around.

"go to school."

"Honey, didn't we talk about this last night? You'd better not go to school today," Maggie advised.

Seeing that her daughter was still determined to go to school, she finally gave in.

"Remember to come home early after school."

"I see."

After Nancy left the house, she walked down the street and soon noticed a gaze fixed on her.

Turning around, I saw a man in a suit wearing sunglasses standing not far away, seemingly looking in my direction.

Nancy turned around, took a few steps, and then looked back again.

The man wearing sunglasses disappeared.

Am I overthinking it?

The next moment, a hand covered in blood reached out from behind her.

"Mmmmmm!"

Nancy's mouth was covered, and she could only struggle desperately.

The person behind her was quite strong and dragged her into the bushes by the roadside.

"I won't hurt you, I won't hurt you!"

As he spoke, he released Nancy.

Still shaken, she turned around and realized that the person was none other than Rod Ryan, the one who had been captured in the news report.

But hasn't he already been arrested?

"They will kill me!"

Seeing Rhodes's anger, Nancy guessed his intention in coming to find her.

But her status as the sheriff's daughter was of little use.

"No one will kill you."

She had barely finished speaking when she couldn't help asking, "Did you do this?"

Rod quickly shook his head: "I didn't touch her at all!"

Nancy frowned and questioned, "But you were screaming like a madwoman!"

"There was someone else in that room!" Rhodes tried to explain the situation.

"But the door was locked from the inside!" Nancy was even more confused when she heard this.

Seeing her questioning look, Rod gritted his teeth: "Fuck! Don't look at me like I'm a murderer!"

Just then, a cold voice came from behind the bushes nearby:

"Don't even think about touching her, brat!"

"As long as you don't move around, you'll be fine."

Nancy's sheriff father appeared with a gun.

Rhodes stood up and, taking advantage of the other person's inattention, ran away from behind the sheriff's daughter.

Sheriff Thompson was about to give chase when Nancy screamed and blocked his way.

"No!"

"My God! What are you thinking?"

The father and daughter emerged from the bushes and saw Rodley already on the street, pinned to the ground by other officers lying in ambush, and the switchblade used in the crime had been found.

"I didn't do it! I didn't kill her! Nancy!"

Once captured, Rhodes could only shout for help to the only person he knew.

Nancy remembered the man in the suit and sunglasses and guessed the identity of the plainclothes police officer. She exclaimed in disbelief, "Dad! You actually used me!"

Sheriff Thompson didn't answer; instead, he asked, "Where are you going? Are you going to school today, Nancy? Nancy!"

Nancy left without saying a word.

……

Inside the school.

Nancy, who went to class as usual, found her initial resentment gradually dissipating as drowsiness crept in, leaving her eyelids feeling increasingly heavy...

Just then, she heard a voice in her ear.

Nancy.

Nancy turned her head and was startled.

Tina!

The other person was standing at the classroom door, wearing a body bag covered in blood.

Nancy was momentarily panicked, unsure whether it was a hallucination or a vision of her friend's ghost.

She turned her head and glanced at the classroom, but it seemed that no one had noticed what was happening.

But the classroom at that moment gave Nancy an inexplicable sense of unease.

Everyone seemed... stiff?

Nancy looked towards the classroom door again, but Tina had vanished without a trace, leaving only a pool of blood in the hallway outside the classroom.

She slowly got up and was about to go out to look for it when she noticed a bright light coming from the schoolbag on the ground.

Nancy instinctively reached into her backpack, took out the mirror and the sword, took a deep breath, and followed the trail of blood down the corridor.

She needs to figure out what's going on!
