The first thing to do after arriving in the new world is to modify the Starfire for land-based operation.

After all, in the Sky World, the Starfire uses the same navigation components as the Giant World Ocean—giant propellers, hull, sails, and specially added city wings.

This work will take several hours. During this time, Li Xin was not idle either. He took advantage of the downtime during the modification to organize manpower for deployment in preparation for mining, logging, water collection, searching for wild vegetables and fruits, and hunting native creatures.

To his surprise, a few hours later, one of the exploration vehicles actually found a medium-sized oil field forty kilometers to the west.

It also has sufficient power to drive the drilling rig, in addition to engineering equipment such as robotic arms, cranes, and working claws.

The problem is that this would cause the mobile city to be splashed with a lot of crude oil, making it very dirty. It's better to build an additional one.

So the production workshop of Xinghuo started up again, continuously processing a series of parts such as steel frames, gears, winches, drill pipes, and derrick sections. Combined with the engineering equipment on the deck, a drilling platform was rapidly formed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

With a roar, the drilling platform's engine started up, the winch slowly turned, and the drill rod began to be driven down into the ground.

Not long after, a low gurgling sound came from the wellhead of the platform, followed by a stream of dark brown, bubbling liquid gushing out from the casing.
