On the way back to the practice room, the head of the room left, leaving only the girls chattering about what had just happened in the recording studio.

"It's like a dream." Shin Ryujin was still a little dazed. "Those lyrics really were written by us."

"I didn't expect it to actually come in handy. I thought the producer was just joking with us." Lee Chaeryeong was just as excited as she was, her eyes crinkling with laughter.

"The producer is even better than I imagined." Shin Yoo-na glanced at Choi Ji-soo again, her tone somewhat relieved, "Thank goodness it wasn't like what unnie said."

"You must have been terrified at the time," Choi Jisoo joked.

The four of them chatted and laughed, but Huang Lizhi didn't join in. She walked at the back, looking down at her toes.

The recording studio footage played frame by frame before my eyes.

"They would be better off in SM Entertainment."

When she heard this, Hwang Ye-ji was actually a little unconvinced and wanted to ask what was wrong with JY, but Park Jin-young didn't refute her, so she knew that ODN IM had tacitly agreed, but she was still unconvinced.

But after recording, she couldn't help but wonder if $M's trainees would make the same mistakes as her when they recorded for the first time.

"Believe in yourself, one mistake won't kill you." The image freezes on the boy's smile.

"But are we really worse than SM trainees?" she murmured to herself, unsure if she was asking the boy on screen or herself, "Producer, you didn't mean that, did you?" Shin Ryujin, who had been watching her closely, turned around. "He didn't deny our abilities; it seems more like... a pity?"

Feeling that he had used the word quite accurately and appropriately, Shen Liuzhen repeated, "Yes, it's just a pity."

"Is there really a problem with our vocal training?" Li Cailing couldn't help but mutter.

"The producer must have his reasons for saying that," Choi Ji-soo said, even though she didn't know what was wrong with it.

"Isn't unnie going to be on that TV show?" Shin Yoo-na chimed in, looking at Hwang Ye-ji, "BoA sunbaenim is also a mentor on it, unnie can ask her if she gets the chance."

"That show called 'The Fan' was supposed to have its press conference today, right?" She took out her phone again and searched for news related to the show. After looking at it for a while, she smiled awkwardly. "Ani, it seems like it's already over."

"When will Yeji go to participate in the recording of the show?" Choi Ji-soo asked with concern.

Hwang Ye-ji remembered that Jun-ho had come to see her a few days ago and told her the date of her visit to the TV station.

"It seems to be... the 24th?"

"Today is already the 14th." Shin Ryujin glanced at the ceiling. "There are still 10 days left."

10 days.

Huang Lizhi paused, swallowing hard.

Before I knew it, there were only a handful of days left, which I could count on my two hands.

I need to get back to practice right away! With that thought, her eyes changed, she looked up, and her pace quickened, quickly overtaking the members in front of her.

"Unnie, wait for me!" Shin Yoo-na didn't understand, but that didn't stop her from shouting and chasing after him.

"And us too." The other three followed closely behind.

It was as if a race had suddenly broken out, and whoever fell behind would be punished. The footsteps in the corridor became chaotic, as if a horse had accidentally wandered in.

You can see stars at night in Seoul.

Pei Xiyan saw it now. Outside the recording studio window was a dark blue night sky, with stars twinkling in it. If deciphered in Mosic, it would sound like they were asking, "Why aren't you back yet?"

Actually, he was just guessing randomly because he didn't know Morse code.

After watching for a while, once the soreness in his eyes subsided somewhat, Pei Xiyan turned back to his computer and continued working. He was the only one left in the recording studio. Park Jin-young had been called back by his sister-in-law—or rather, his sister-in-law; he also heard Park Jin-young's daughter's voice on the phone, soft and sweet. If such a voice were asking, "Daddy, when are you coming back?", he would probably be longing to return home as well, wishing he could teleport back instantly.

So he didn't try to stop him. It was his own business, and he was already being very kind to someone who had helped him for an afternoon.

After working for another ten minutes or so, Pei Xiyan saved the final version of the demo. A short while after the computer shut down, he glanced at his phone; it was nearly 10:30 PM.

Actually, it was still early. If he were in his own recording studio, Bae Joo-hyun would have taken at least an hour and a half to call him.

But she's very busy and won't be going home recently, so no one stops Pei Xiyan even if he's busy until the early hours of the morning.

But it would be impolite to be too busy. Pei Xiyan thought to himself, stretched, glanced around to make sure everything in the recording studio was closed, then turned off the lights and left the studio.

The corridor was quiet, with only a few lights on. The advantage of having few people was that Pei Xiyan could press a button and the elevator would go straight to his floor without stopping.

The elevator descended floor by floor. Just when Pei Xiyan thought it would smoothly go straight to the first floor, it stopped in the middle floor and the elevator doors slowly opened. A figure was waiting outside. It was a girl. She looked very tired, her clothes were a little messy, and she stood there listlessly.

It's someone I know.

"Li Zhi," Pei Xiyan called softly.

"Producer IM." Seeing it was him, Hwang Yee-ji smiled on his tired face, greeted him, and walked into the elevator.

"Are you alone?" Pei Xiyan took two steps to the side.

"Yes, they've all gone back." Huang Lizhi stood next to him.

"Li Zhi is really hardworking," Pei Xiyan praised softly.

He was a staunch advocate of leaving get off work on time. When he was in school, he would leave as soon as the teacher dared to extend the class time. But he never expected to choose a job that did not have a fixed time to leave work after graduation.

"No, not really." Hwang Ye-ji's fox-like eyes narrowed into a crescent shape as he scratched his cheek sheepishly. "Because I'll be on stage soon, I thought I'd practice a bit more."

"What stage?" Pei Xiyan asked curiously.

"SBS's 'The Fan,' a new talent show," Hwang Ye-ji replied.

Upon hearing this familiar name, Pei Xiyan raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Isn't this the talent show that Kim Nancy was in charge of?

"You're going to perform on TV, are you nervous?" He blinked, suppressing his surprise, and continued to ask.

"A little." Huang Lizhi nodded honestly, but not just a little, but very much. Just thinking about the possible scenarios made her heart pound with nervousness, as if a high-speed motor was installed inside it.

Even though she has practiced the show she will perform on her first stage at least thirty times in the past few days.

"Have a piece of candy." Pei Xiyan suddenly pulled a piece of candy out of her pocket. "Having something in your mouth will make you less nervous."

Huang Lizhi stared blankly at the watermelon slice in the middle of the packaging.

It's exactly the same candy as the last one.

"Kamsahamida." She smiled as she took the candy, unwrapped it, and put it in her mouth.

The sweet taste of watermelon filled her mouth instantly, and just as he said, she immediately felt less nervous.

"Fighting!" Pei Xiyan gave her a small pump to cheer her on.

"Yes." Hwang Ye-ji grinned, and for a moment he felt the sweetness in his mouth seemed amplified dozens of times, then it all went down his tongue.

It sweetened my heart.
