Peninsula Cicada Song Diary

Chapter 35 Pei the Bad Guy

Her accusation came as a bit of a surprise, and Pei Xiyan was slightly taken aback.

"Because you can add sugar to coffee?" he said with a smile, then took the coffee from her hand.

Even in winter, ice is added to drinks on the peninsula, so it's quite nice to have something cold on such a sunny day.

Pei Xiyan didn't use a straw; she simply opened the side of the cup and took a small sip. The combination of the sugar and ice made it taste quite nice.

"I ordered this for you." Sana Minatozaki smiled proudly, "And I also brought back the card for you."

She pulled a credit card from her jeans pocket; it was the one he had given to Li Shanliang.

Pei Xiyan didn't ask her why she was able to get it from Li Shanliang. She figured it was probably because the fan lost her mind in front of her idol and was then given whatever she wanted.

He slipped the card into a pocket of his wallet: "Thank you, Sanaxi, for coming all this way to deliver this for me despite being so busy."

"So... how does Xiyan plan to thank me?" Minatozaki Sana tilted her head slightly, looking at him with interest.

"Here, have a seat." Pei Xiyan moved aside on the low stool.

"Thank you." Minatozaki Sana accepted the offer with pleasure, sat on the low stool, and stretched out her shapely legs like chopsticks on the ground.

The side of the stage where they were located was a great rest area, with the main stage blocking most of the sunlight and view.

Holding her coffee cup in both hands, Sana Minatozaki gently bit the straw with her teeth: "Why did you come today, Shiyan-xi?"

"I'm helping the teacher out by volunteering to set up the stage equipment." Pei Xiyan found a low stool and sat down, explaining the situation in general.

"I thought you'd become our fan and that's why you came to the fan meeting." Sana Minatozaki let go of her straw and sighed with regret. "Shigen-ssi probably knew we were in Yonsei today."

"Yes, Momoxi mentioned it last time in the cafeteria."

"Then why didn't you come looking for us? I had to come looking for you." Sana Minatozaki started to interrogate her. "I thought we were already friends."

"We've only met three times so far," Pei Xiyan reminded him.

It's not like it's been three years...

"What's wrong with meeting three times?" Sana Minatozaki retorted logically. "If you click with someone, you can become friends after just one meeting."

"Isn't Sanaxi afraid of making bad friends?"

"Does Xiyan think I'm a bad person?" Minatozaki Sana's eyelashes fluttered.

The person in front of her was unbelievably beautiful, and Pei Xiyan shook her head slightly: "She doesn't look like it."

"Ugh!" This overly cautious answer clearly didn't please Sana Minatozaki. She angrily raised her fist. "What do you mean, 'doesn't look like it'?"

"I've never been good at this!"

Sana Minatozaki has always been a good person whom her family, friends, and neighbors can trust!

"Yes, Sanaxi is a good person." Pei Xiyan smiled, took a sip of coffee, and said, "What about me? We've met three times. Does Sanaxi think I'm a good person or a bad person?"

"Bad guy." Sana Minatozaki sniffed and made her decision without hesitation.

Following being labeled a "liar," Pei Xiyan was honorably labeled a "bad guy," a first for him in his entire life.

"What's wrong with it?" Pei Xiyan wanted to know the reason.

"I'm a bad boy down!" Sana Minato hummed a line from a song. "To write a song like this, Shiyan-xi must be a bad boy himself."

"Sanaxi makes a lot of sense." Pei Xiyan chuckled. "Perhaps I should go to the police station and reflect on my actions."

"Remember to tell me your address when the time comes," Sana Minatozaki confidently assured her. "I'll come see you."

The leaves continued to rustle in the wind, and their conversation, punctuated by the leaves, seemed endless.

Until the coffee in my hand was empty, and I could no longer sip any more coffee, leaving only ice at the bottom.

"Alright, Xiyan-xi, I should go back now." Glancing at the time, Minatozaki Sana patted her bottom and stood up. "Thanks for the coffee."

"But since you're here, remember to watch our meet-and-greet tonight!" she reminded him. "It'll definitely surprise you!"

"Is it because of a special Halloween costume?" Pei Xiyan asked.

"How did you know?!" Minatozaki Sana opened her mouth slightly in surprise.

Pei Xiyan pointed to the stage, "Look."

Following the direction of his finger, Sana Minatozaki saw a huge, conspicuous light board at the top of the stage.

It's not evening yet and the lights aren't on, but you can see the sign says "ONCE HALLOWEEN." That's the theme of their fan meeting today; anyone who's not blind can see it.

"Hehe." She stuck out her tongue awkwardly, then put her hands on her hips. "You'll never guess what I'm dressed up as!"

"What is it?" Pei Xiyan asked quickly.

Without hesitation, Sana Minatozaki replied, "Red..."

"Hehe, guess away." Her earlier blurt was just an act; she wasn't fooled.

"Oh, right." After taking a few steps, Minatozaki Sana suddenly stopped again.

"What's wrong?" Pei Xiyan asked, looking at her.

"Would you like to add me on the contact list?" Sana Minato turned around, seemingly asking a very ordinary question, but out of sight, the coffee cup she was holding was slightly dented.

Her profile was bathed in sunlight, and her tone reminded Pei Xiyan of the "yes or yes" question in her dream. She hadn't asked that, but to Pei Xiyan, it sounded like there was only one option: "yes."

"I'll add you," Pei Xiyan said with a smile as she took out her phone.

The coffee cup was restored to its original state.

After exchanging contact information, I immediately saved both the KakaoTalk and phone number I received as "Bad Guy Pei".

"Let's go~" Minatozaki Sana happily ran away.

Her running style is peculiar, like a female lead in a Japanese drama.

Pei Xiyan remembered that this was how she had pulled her along and run through the woods.

The interplay of sunlight and shadows resembled a little madman leading a big madman.

......

"I didn't expect that senior would know Sana?!" Li Shanliang, who had just returned after serving coffee, was clearly still in shock.

No one knows how shocked he was when he heard the news while standing in front of the waiting room. When Sana Minatozaki asked him for his credit card, he handed it over in a daze.

He didn't intend to refuse.

"I recently started working at JYP, and that's how we got to know each other," Pei Xiyan said casually.

"That's great," Li Shanliang said with envy, "being able to see my favorite idol from time to time."

"You can join JYP after graduation, then you'll be able to see her," Pei Xiyan suggested.

"To be honest, I did think about it," Li Shanliang said, scratching his head a little embarrassedly. "But... I can't guarantee that I'll still like Sana after graduation, so I didn't think about it too much."

Pei Xiyan paused for a moment, then said, "A very... practical thought."

"So, you mean there's another group you like?" he asked.

"Red Velvet!" Lee Sunshine clenched her fist. "Irenexi is so beautiful!"

"It's hard to imagine how such a perfect face could exist in this world!"

"You're absolutely right." Pei Xiyan nodded in agreement.

"Senior, you also like Irenexi?" Li Shanliang's eyes lit up.

"I've been her fan for over twenty years," Pei Xiyan said.

"More than twenty years?"

This year puzzled Li Shanliang.

Irene has only been in the industry for four years, hasn't she?
