The buck-toothed man, also known as Hei Zi, ignored Lao Gui at Ma Jun's prompting.

When Ma Jun looked at Su Bai, his tone softened considerably, and he introduced himself: "My name is Ma Jun, and this is Hei Zi."

Although Hei Zi still disliked Su Bai, he refrained from saying anything harsh because of Ma Jun's words. When Ma Jun introduced him, he reluctantly nodded to Su Bai, but his expression remained unpleasant.

Su Bai spoke calmly: "Su Bai."

Old Zhou immediately stepped forward, smiling, and said, "Just call me Old Zhou."

Ma Jun looked at the two of them and smiled bitterly, "I thought we were just going to survive the apocalypse, but who would have thought we'd be involved in this 'leveling up' game? But how do we level up? Where are the dangers? We have absolutely no clue. We're a dozen or so people, we can't just stay here and die like this, we have to find a way to escape."

Su Bai was silent for a moment before slowly saying, "I don't think things are that simple. Luo Zheng probably didn't tell us everything. There are still many crucial things he's hiding."

Ma Jun nodded repeatedly and said seriously, "I could tell too. They were definitely holding back. For example, if we can't find any clues, will we be trapped for life? Or will we encounter other dangers? They didn't mention a word about these things."

The two were of the same mind. Su Bai didn't say anything more, but just stood quietly, his gaze fixed on the tightly closed door, seemingly lost in thought.

A deathly silence fell over everyone, and anxiety washed over them like a tidal wave.

After a long while, someone couldn't help but ask in a low voice, their voice tinged with fear: "Th-those two superhumans, they're not not coming back, are they?"

Hei Zi scoffed and said mockingly, "It's not that they don't want to come back, it's that they simply can't come back."

He paused for a moment, then said mockingly, "Trying to show off, you're just asking for trouble."

Old Zhou immediately added insult to injury, his tone smug: "Brilliant! He's the one who shot himself in the foot."

It's rare to see these two stand on the same side!

However, no sooner had he finished speaking than a loud "bang" was heard!

The window was violently pushed open by a huge external force.

The piercing sound startled everyone, turning their faces pale instantly, and they all retreated.

The next second, Luo Zheng and Zheng Yi jumped in through the window, landing nimbly with some weeds and dust still clinging to their bodies.

As soon as Zheng Yi landed, his gaze locked onto Lao Zhou, his eyes filled with a sinister glint and undisguised anger.

Clearly, he heard everything Lao Zhou said.

Caught talking badly about someone behind their back, Old Zhou wasn't as guilty as he seemed. He immediately pointed at Hei Zi and chuckled as he defended himself, "Don't glare at me! I was just summarizing what he said, I didn't say it first!"

Hei Zi's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he pointed at Lao Zhou, too angry to speak: "You, you brat..."

The two exchanged glances, subtly throwing "knives" at each other, but no one paid any attention to their farce.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing of the return of the two superhumans, their faces beaming with excitement and relief.

Ma Jun visibly relaxed and quickly stepped forward: "It's good that you're all alright. We were so worried about you just now."

Luo Zheng had no time for pleasantries. He strode up to the group and asked directly, "How long have we been gone?"

how long?

Just now, everyone was only worried about whether they would be trapped here and die. Their hearts were full of fear and anxiety. Who would have thought about keeping track of time?

For a moment, everyone looked at each other, unable to answer.

Just then, Su Bai's voice rang out slowly, calm and precise: "About ten minutes."

Luo Zheng's brows furrowed sharply, his eyes filled with incomprehension and confusion, and his expression became serious.

Everyone was also confused, not understanding why Luo Zheng would ask this, but no one dared to ask further. They just watched him quietly, not daring to breathe.

After a while, Luo Zheng first scanned the entire room with his eyes, as if to confirm something, before looking at Su Bai again, his tone cold: "After we went out, we found that the original door was gone, so we had to go around to the window to come back. The whole process took no more than two minutes."

Everyone was completely stunned.

Ten minutes vs. two minutes? That's impossible!

Luo Zheng added, "However, this is in another world, where the time inside is different from the time outside, so it's not anything strange."

Before everyone could process this bizarre fact, Luo Zheng spoke again, his tone heavy as he said, "If we can't find any clues and don't know what mission we're supposed to complete, we'll just have to wait here to die."

"Wait to die?" someone exclaimed instantly, their voice filled with despair. "Are we... are we really going to be trapped here and die?"

Luo Zheng nodded, his tone calm, yet every word pierced the heart: "Yes. Every other world is different. The level of danger in another world determines the level of superpowers you can awaken after returning to reality. The higher the danger, the stronger the superpower; otherwise, you either die here."

Su Bai looked at Luo Zheng and asked calmly, "How do you determine the level of danger in another world?"

Luo Zheng shook his head: "I don't know. So far, only one person has escaped alive after entering this other world. All we know is what we heard from that person."

"Only one person made it out alive?"

Luo Zheng: "Yes."

Su Bai asked again, "Is it that only one person can survive? Or can anyone who survives leave?"

Su Bai noticed a detail that no one else had noticed.

Everyone held their breath, watching Luo Zheng with tension.

Luo Zheng shook his head: "I don't know."

These words struck like a thunderbolt, stunning everyone.

Some people couldn't hold back their tears and covered their faces, their voices filled with despair: "What are we going to do? Are we all going to die here?"

Su Bai remained calm, his brows slightly furrowed: "Since only one person survived, how can you be sure that what that person said is true? And how can you be sure that an 'other world' truly exists?"

Zheng Yi's face instantly darkened, his tone filled with anger, and his eyes glared impatiently at Su Bai: "If you don't trust us, you're free to ignore us. Nobody's forcing you! Whether you die here or get out alive is your own choice!"

Su Bai ignored Zheng Yi's anger and simply looked calmly at Luo Zheng, waiting for his answer.

Luo Zheng remained calm and composed, showing no anger.

He slowly began to explain, "We are people who have awakened superpowers, and we can keenly sense the presence of monsters. When we were in the team, we discovered that there were monsters lurking, so we kept observing them in secret to verify the truth of the information we heard. We verified it step by step until we finally arrived here."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "The fact that we're stuck here and can't get out proves that the news is true."

Su Bai gave a soft "Oh," her tone flat, and didn't ask any further questions.

But his expression and his attitude clearly told everyone that he did not believe Luo Zheng's words at all.
