New Ultraman: Monster Training Master
Chapter 22: The Zettonians also like that set
"Just now, the forward warehouse located in Tokyo Bay was attacked, and the whereabouts of the 'Saturn Z' stored in the warehouse are unknown."
After confirming that the alarm was not a false alarm, all four members except for Ota Yuka were dispatched.
Aihara Ryu and Kishida Fumio piloted Fighter Jet No. 1, while Masaki Keigo and Hoshikawa piloted Fighter Jet No. 2 to the front-line warehouse.
Because the front-line warehouses contained many dangerous weapons, Staff Officer He Zhi transferred a large number of soldiers from the ground base.
Upon arriving at the front-line warehouse, Hoshikawa took out a list to see which other weapons had been seized.
After taking inventory of the warehouse, everyone gathered at the entrance.
Fumio Kishida spoke first: "It seems that, apart from the 'Saturn Z,' all the other weapons are in the warehouse."
Ryu Aihara: "Could it have been done by aliens? But what would they want with Saturn Z?"
Hoshikawa thought of a lame joke and said:
"They might also be using the Saturn Z to bomb Japan; maybe aliens have a thing for that."
Fumio Kishida and the other three: "???"
What an incredibly lame joke!
Fumio Kishida looked somewhat displeased: "You can't tell such lame jokes."
"Have you ever considered that the aliens might not want to bomb Japan, but rather the ground bases?" Masaki Keigo asked, offering his opinion.
The atmosphere suddenly froze.
Masaki Keigo's words were a wake-up call.
A large number of soldiers were transferred from the ground base, and they also flew their fighter jets to the front-line warehouses. At this time, the ground base was left undefended.
"Quickly! Return to base immediately." Fumio Kishida's tone was somewhat panicked.
He didn't want to return to find the base in ruins.
······
Command room.
Yuka Ota sat intently in front of the terminal, wary of any unexpected events that might occur at any moment.
Suddenly, there was a sound of a chair falling over behind her. Yuka Ota took off her headphones, turned around, and saw Dr. Iwamoto standing behind her.
"Dr. Iwamoto, is there something you need?"
"It's nothing, I just came to check on things." Dr. Iwamoto's tone was stiff, and his eyes were vacant.
Yuka Ota felt uneasy under Dr. Iwamoto's gaze and wanted to find an excuse to end the conversation.
"Team member Yuka, I have a new invention. Would you like to take a look?" Dr. Iwamoto took out a cell phone.
Yuka Ota wanted to refuse, but Dr. Iwamoto took out his phone first and played a video.
In the white background, a mosquito coil spins continuously.
Yuka Ota realized something was wrong, but it was too late.
Just as she was about to be hypnotized, Hoshikawa burst through the door and pounced on Dr. Iwamoto.
Hoshikawa snatched the phone from Dr. Iwamoto's hand, interrupting the hypnosis ritual.
Hoshikawa glanced at the screen on his phone and couldn't help but exclaim, "Holy crap, what kind of software is this? Do the Zettonians also like using hypnosis apps?"
After handcuffing Dr. Iwamoto, Hoshikawa asked Ota Yuka if she was alright.
"I'm fine." Ota Yuka was still shaken. If Hoshikawa hadn't arrived in time, she probably would have been hypnotized.
"Hahaha, I've made a lot of time bombs and planted them in the base. You're all just waiting to be blown up."
After saying that, Dr. Iwamoto fainted.
Kishida and his friends, who arrived late, happened to hear this.
Ignoring why Dr. Iwamoto had been hypnotized, the group hurriedly split up to search for the planted time bomb.
The ground base was too large; a few people couldn't find all the bombs. Hoshikawa had Ota Yuka issue an evacuation order and then notified the soldiers still at the base to search for the bombs together.
Under Hoshikawa's methodical command, everyone in the base sprang into action.
Thanks to everyone's efforts, most of the bombs in the base were quickly defused.
But there was one bomb that was never cleared: the bomb inside the archives.
Upon receiving the news, Hoshikawa rushed from the command center to the archives.
"No one is allowed to enter the archives room without Staff Officer He Zhi's permission."
The two guards refused to open the door to the archives room no matter what they said.
Fumio Kishida's temper flared up instantly. He pointed his gun at the guard and yelled, "Damn it! What if there's a bomb inside? What do you think the lives in this base are?"
The two guards were most likely hypnotized by Dr. Iwamoto. Hoshikawa didn't want to waste his breath arguing with them, so he simply replaced the bullets in his gun with tranquilizer darts.
boom!boom!
The two guards collapsed to the ground.
Kishida Fumio, believing Hoshikawa had shot the guards, grabbed him by the collar: "Why did you shoot those two guards?"
Hoshikawa slapped Kishida Fumio's hand away and said in a calm tone, "I replaced the bullets in the guns with tranquilizer darts. I just wanted to put them to sleep."
"That would be best." Fumio Kishida took out his employee card, went to the door of the archives room, and tried to swipe it to open the door.
"Insufficient permissions, insufficient permissions."
A mechanical electronic sound emanated from the card reader.
Incredulous, Fumio Kishida swiped the card several more times, but the result was still the same.
"Let me do it." Masaki Keigo took out a small cutter, drew a square on the door large enough for an adult to pass through, and began to cut with flames.
However, the door to the archives is specially made, with a thickness of 4 centimeters. It would take at least half an hour to cut it open.
The bomb in the archives could explode at any time—it could be an hour or a minute.
Fumio Kishida: "Hurry up! Don't you call yourself a genius? Hurry up and come up with a useful invention to break down the door!"
"Shut up! Are you out of your mind? We don't know when the bomb will explode, where do we find the time to invent things?"
Masaki Keigo wiped the sweat from his forehead, his tone tinged with nervousness.
If the bomb explodes at this moment, they will all die here.
The waiting time was agonizing; Aihara Ryu was already drenched in cold sweat just watching.
After finally drawing a square, the flame of the cutter was too short and did not completely penetrate the 4-centimeter-thick door.
Just when everyone was in despair, Hoshikawa walked to the door and kicked the spot that Masaki Keigo had just cut.
boom--
With one kick, the gate remained completely undamaged.
Fumio Kishida: "Don't bother. You can't move this door by manpower alone. The most important thing now is to escape."
That being said, no one knows how many bombs Dr. Iwamoto planted inside, and where they could possibly escape to.
Ignoring Kishida Fumio, Hoshikawa kicked out again, this time with all his might.
Fumio Kishida wanted to say something more, but what happened next left him speechless.
The cut area was directly dented.
Fumio Kishida slapped himself: "Am I still half asleep? Someone actually managed to kick a dent into a specially made steel door."
Masaki Keigo's eyes widened: "Human anatomy no longer exists, and neither does physics."
If there are any creatures on Earth capable of kicking a specially made steel door so hard it dents, they must be the extraterrestrials hidden in the cities.
