Cordra was originally a world conquered by a human empire.

It was once a lost world for humankind, until the flames of the Great Crusade swept across the galaxy, and the great Primarch, Lord of the Dragons, Vulcan Volkan, personally led a massive fleet to bring this planet back into the Emperor's glory.

Now, thousands of years have passed, and another massive human fleet has arrived.

Elpis stood by the porthole of the "Unity" and looked at the distant Cordra. At this moment, the entire Cordra was surrounded by a green tide, and a battle moon under construction was suspended in the orbit of Cordra.

"Landing coordinates have been locked, sir," Kurland's excited voice came through the communication channel. "We expect to reach the designated orbit in five standard hours."

"Commander Kurland," Elpis said, "the command of the warship is now in your hands. Your primary task is to reclaim the Primarch."

The communication channel was immediately shut down, and the fleet headed toward Codra.

After Lord Udor abdicated and Kurland became the Imperial Commander, he immediately began to consolidate the remaining forces on Terra and sent astral messages to all Imperial chapters requesting assistance.

Although orcs are rampaging across the Empire, fortunately, the founding chapters—the Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves—have all answered the call and are sending troops toward the Throne World.

During this time, Kurland was not idle either. As the commander-in-chief of the Empire, with the support of the Assassin's Court, the Inquisition, and the Ministry of Justice, he successfully mobilized Terra and Mars.

He also personally led nearly half of the fleet to Kaura to search for the missing Lord of Fire Dragons.

The Cult of Mechanics also dispatched a fleet, not because Forging General Kubik was concerned about the Primarch, but because he was once again forced to do so.

The assassin squad under the command of Grand Master Wangorich discovered that Kubik harbored a secret.

Instead of continuing to dismantle the battle moon hovering over Terra, Kubik secretly studied the orc portals, attempting to gain knowledge from them.

Upon learning the news, Kurland immediately dispatched the Exemplary Fist and the Grand Master's assassin squad to Mars to confront Kubik and hold him accountable.

Meanwhile, strong political pressure was exerted on Mars at the High Lords Council of Terra.

Fortunately, the trip to Mars went smoothly, and Kubik did not take any drastic measures. He admitted that he was indeed researching the orcs' teleportation technology and had already made some progress.

He claims he can instantly teleport Io from one end of Jupiter's orbit to the other. He asserts that given a little more time, he can develop the technology to teleport the Battle Moon away.

However, Elpis disagreed. He stated directly that using unproven, unknown technology in the skies above Holy Terra was extremely risky.

He allowed the Forging General to research Orc technology, but the Battle Moon on Terra had to be destroyed, and the wreckage transported out of the solar system by transport ships.

Everyone agreed to Elpis's demands, but in exchange, Kubik had to share the technology he was researching and fully cooperate with Kurland's needs.

Immediately afterwards, countless resources were sent to Mars, and brand-new warships, tanks, and weapons were manufactured one after another, quickly arming the troops assembled by Kurland.

While reinforcements from all sides were still en route, a fleet arrived first at the edge of the solar system; these were reinforcements from the Blue Star System.

This stemmed from an order issued by Elpis upon his return to Terra, in which he contacted the Sage of Orm, who was conducting secret research on Blue Star. The Sage answered the call and dispatched Imperial forces from Blue Star.

Claire, as the commander, led countless brave mortal warriors from Earth and nearly fifty warships of various sizes, as well as some strange and wonderful things researched by the Sage of Orm.

There were originally more warships on Earth, but the other two commanders each led a portion of the fleet to support other parts of the Empire.

Claire, the female commander who has fought for a thousand years, has white hair, but her face does not show many signs of age. She is just more mature and composed than when she first joined the human empire.

All of this is thanks to the unique viral adaptability of Earthlings. Combined with the research of the Sage of Om, a person with a high degree of adaptability can theoretically have a lifespan of thousands of years after undergoing viral modification.

Of course, within the empire, they are not called "viruses," but rather "gifts," signifying the emperor's favor. Those who are suited to these gifts are also known as "recipients."

The Unified, Claire's flagship, is a large strike cruiser. It sails alongside Kurland's flagship, the Abomination, as the spearhead of the fleet, aimed directly at the Cordra.

As the Imperial fleet approached, the orcs also noticed the arrival of this uninvited guest, and they sent out an orc fleet that was hovering in orbit to attack.

"Fire!"

Following Kurland's command, the entire Imperial fleet opened fire. Countless beam spears and macro cannons volleyed in space, weaving a web of destruction. The orcs' crude but massive fleet was transformed into dazzling fireballs one after another under the orderly and deadly firepower of the Imperial Navy.

"Abomination, maintain port-side fire suppression. Unity, break through on the right flank." Commander Kurland's voice echoed throughout the fleet via the communication channel.

Kurland, seated on the flagship, directed the fleet's formation. Although he had never commanded such a large-scale space battle before, his command skills were on full display at this moment.

The fleet's formation was solid and precise, and it was methodically tearing apart the orc warships' encirclement.

"All warships, take note of the gap directly ahead. Concentrate fire and clear a passage!" Kurland's voice was firm and clear in the command channel.

According to the battle plan, the Imperial fleet does not need to eliminate all the Orks; it only needs to contain their fleet in space. Simultaneously, a force will be dispatched to locate the Primarch and bring him back to Terra.

At this moment, Kurland was issuing combat orders as planned. The warships suppressed the orcs' attempt to encircle them with precise salvos, successfully tearing a safe passage to the planet's surface through the orcs' layers of encirclement.

Elpis stood silently on the Unity airdrop platform, his three Shadowmoon Wolves squad members flanking him, awaiting his orders.

"The landing route is safe!" Claire's calm voice came through, "but the number of orcs is staggering. A large number of orc drop pods have been detected being deployed toward the main continent of Cordra. Clearing the orbit will still take time, my lord."

"That's enough," Elpis said, his voice steady. "We need to retrieve the Primarch as quickly as possible. The fleet will establish a fire blockade line in orbit to cover the return route and provide a foothold for subsequent support."

"Commander Kurland, are you and your soldiers ready?" Elpis led his squad into the drop pod.

"Of course, I'm ready at any time!" Kurland's voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement. This was not just a mission, but also an unprecedented honor to meet a living Primarch.

Several modified drop pods were launched from the Imperial fleet's formation and, under the cover of artillery fire, charged headlong into the dense atmosphere of the Cordra, leaving behind scorching, blackened trails.
