The Bizarre Adventure of the Warhammer Guard
Chapter 30 The Demon Prince
As soon as he finished speaking, a figure appeared in the light. It was not the perfect and proud phoenix that Guilliman knew, but a bizarre and strangely perfect serpentine creature that was more than four meters tall.
His legs had disappeared, replaced by a long snake tail. His body and head had been elongated, and a pair of extra arms had grown from his sides. His face was still vaguely recognizable as it once was, with pale hair wrapped around crimson demon horns.
Fogrim's skin had turned a pale purple, covered with colorful patterns. His armor was magnificent, inlaid with countless jewels, which shimmered brilliantly under its light. Exquisite ornaments were also haphazardly worn by Fogrim, clinking and jingling as he moved.
Despite the blasphemous nature of the body, the overall form was undeniably perfect. A mortal with a weak will, even at first glance, would be seduced and deeply captivated by the beauty displayed by the demon prince.
"Terra above..." a deep voice came from Guilliman's mouth.
Guilliman already knew from previous battle footage and written reports that his brother had been transformed into a blasphemous form. But upon witnessing Forgrim's mutated body firsthand, he still felt a sense of horror and sorrow.
Elpis wasn't surprised at all; he had known about the demons of the warp for a long time and had been fighting them for years during the Webpath Wars. Whether it was the Bloodthirsty Demons or the Slaanesh Archdaemons, he had banished these disgusting creatures from the Webpath several times.
Fugrim wriggled his serpentine body into the light, his tail pointing upwards, and he spread out his four arms.
"Look, my brother. Look at my body, transformed by the Prince of Pleasure, how perfect it is!" As he spoke, Fugrim twisted and spun his body, displaying himself to the two before him, "and a poor wretch who was deceived by our father."
"Let me guess," Forgrim said, his body incredibly supple. He arched his back and leaned closer to Guilliman, looking him straight in the eye. "You wanted to stall for time, didn't you? Oh, my poor little brother, your plan worked. Hurry up and run. Our game can continue."
"I'm here to kill you." Guilliman took a step back, avoiding the ever-approaching Forgrim, and placed his right hand on the hilt of the Emperor's Sword hanging at his waist.
"You've come to kill me? I love you so much, and you want to kill me?" Fugrim said, feigning sadness, his eyes curving down as if he were crying, gently wiping away nonexistent tears with one hand.
"But even if you want to kill me, I have a proposal." Forgrim's voice was seductive as he leaned close to Guilliman and whispered in his ear, "Join us. Truth exists within the warp, and together we can resolve all wars. No one will suffer, and we will lead all beings into a joyous era."
"Don't even think about it," Guilliman replied. "You've been deceived. I won't fall into darkness like you. Look at what you've become."
"What do you mean?" Forgrim straightened up, looking down at Guilliman. "I am the embodiment of perfection!"
At that moment, the communication device inside Guilliman's helmet transmitted a message that the mission was complete. Six elite teams had successfully completed their sabotage mission and were in the process of emergency evacuation. Guilliman knew it was time to settle things with his brothers, and he turned to signal Elpis to prepare for battle.
"Disgusting. You don't even understand." Elpis instantly grasped Guilliman's meaning and interrupted Fogrem's smugness. "A clown who scribbles all over himself, what aesthetic sense do you know? The outfit is so ugly, it seems your master doesn't like you at all."
"You!" Fugrim was furious. This was the first time he had ever heard such an insult. "You lackey of the false emperor, I will cut off your head and drink your blood dry."
"Then let's see what you've got." Elpis gripped the Spear of the Moon tightly with both hands, channeling his energy, the tip of the spear gleaming with a cold, silvery light, and aimed it at the enraged Fugrim.
Guilliman drew the Emperor's Sword with his right hand, and a bright flame immediately ignited on the blade. He stretched out his right hand, the tip of the sword pointing directly at Forgrim. At the same time, the Hand of Domination activated, and blue energy enveloped his massive gauntlets and the bolters hanging from them.
Forgrim clenched his four arms in mid-air, and four strangely shaped swords emerged from the air, their blades covered in purple venom that dripped from their tips.
As Forgrim recovered from his rage, a flicker of pleasure washed over him, a faint purplish-red hue appearing on his serpentine body. Elpis's humiliation had somehow given him a thrill, and his body trembled uncontrollably.
For the first time in nearly a century, he experienced a different kind of joy.
"My dear, I've changed my mind." Fugrim groaned, his voice turning pleasurable, pink gas billowing from his mouth and filling the hall. "I'm going to keep you by my side forever, as my toy, and love you dearly."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Forgrim launched the first attack, two blades aimed at his Primarch, and the other two at his new love. The four blades moved like venomous snakes, swift and cunning.
Guilliman deflected the blade with the Emperor's Sword, its blade blazing brightly, and swung it back towards Forgrim's head. At the same time, Elpis swung his spear to block the poisoned blade; a tremendous force emanated from the spear, barely managing to stop the demon prince's bizarre attack. With his current physique, Elpis was still no match for the Ascended Primarch.
Vograine deftly twisted his body, dodging Guilliman's attack. But the sparks from the Emperor's Sword burned Vograine's face, and he screamed as he dodged Elpis's attack and charged at Guilliman with all his might.
Guilliman dared not underestimate him, and with a roar, he charged forward. But two fists cannot fight four hands; a sword blade bypassed Guilliman's defenses and pierced his left-hand armor from an inconspicuous angle.
The Primarch's incredibly strong terracotta arm armor was pierced, and then the blade sliced through it, leaving a wound about an inch deep. The poison on the blade corroded the terracotta, emitting wisps of black smoke.
Seeing Guilliman wounded, Elpis immediately brandished his spear and thrust it with all his might at Forgrim. A flash of silver light, and the spear pierced Forgrim's right side in an instant. He then swiftly withdrew the spear, retreating to avoid the attack, the spear tip splattering with filthy flesh and blood.
Fugrim winced in pain, his supple body spinning as his four arms stretched out in four directions, holding the swords horizontally. The swords, along with his body, spun, forming a vortex of blades. Fugrim transformed into a death whirlwind, seemingly slicing through even space itself.
Elpis's armor, forged from radiant gold, was instantly ripped open, revealing four horrific scratches on his breastplate. Fortunately, he dodged in time and escaped physical injury.
Seeing this, Guilliman knew that the two of them alone could not defeat Forgrim, so he gave a signal:
"Hill, Andros. Now."
