Hell has invaded, but my Hextech is invincible!

Chapter 40 Infiltrating the Cult Base

Under Emily's influence, four cult members of varying builds emerged. They were all dressed in smocks and headscarves, carrying rifles, resembling the attire of some al-Qaeda members.

They used the leader's orders to fool the guards at the entrance and went directly to the equipment room in the underground pipeline, where they were then dealt with by Ada.

Benev pulled back the bolt and said, "You all change your clothes first, I'll keep watch."

He then walked into the passageway.

Now, only Hex and three ladies remain in this small equipment room.

Hextech glanced at it and said, "Um, should I go out first too?"

Before she could finish speaking, Ada pulled the blouse over her shoulders: "Mr. Horus."

Are you thinking something very rude?

"I remember you used to be more of a playboy than a gentleman."

Hextech's face fell. Well, that wicked woman Ada had seized the opportunity again.

This loose-fitting blouse can be easily slipped on; there's no need to change clothes.

However, Joanna did not hesitate and immediately took off her armor.

Hex was stunned. He hadn't expected Joanna to be so direct. His gaze swept over her and he saw her incredibly voluptuous curves.

Because of the strenuous exercise just now, my skin was covered with a thin layer of sweat. There was no body odor, but instead, it exuded a strong hormonal scent.

Beads of sweat clung to her fair skin like pearls on lotus leaves, dazzling to the eye.

He subconsciously turned his head, and out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Joanna's firm, strong, and fleshy thighs after she took off her pants.

Hextech's face twitched. Seeing Ada's ambiguous smile, he quickly straightened his expression: "Ordinary stuff."

"I don't like driving tanks."

"I prefer yours; you have a perfect, curvaceous figure."

Ada's perfect smile looked somewhat stiff.

"A tank?" Joanna said, somewhat happily. "Are you describing me as a tank?"

"That's fantastic!"

"This is the most impressive nickname I've ever heard!"

Hextech slapped his forehead: "Alright, let's go in quickly."

He then smeared some blood on his own and the others' clothes to make it look like they had just finished a bloody job.

"Emily, help lower the guard of the cultists along the way," Hex whispered to her.

"Understood." Because of her short stature, Emily could only be wrapped in a few pieces of cloth to make herself look like a corpse.

He walked through the sewers and came to the iron gate.

Hex pushed open the iron gate, and the cultists on the other side instinctively raised their rifles. However, when they saw several cultists in hoodies carrying a corpse in, they lowered their rifles.

"Are these the church's lackeys?" one of the cult members asked.

"They actually managed to sneak up here!"

Hextech nodded.

The gunmen merely glanced at their blood-stained clothes before letting them go inside.

Because Emily is putting in a tremendous effort to influence them.

First hurdle passed.

In the game, when you enter, all that's left are cultists who have been transformed by demons.

It's not very bright, it just spouts incomprehensible hellish language, but it's very tough and hard to kill.

Now, as far as the eye can see, the hall is full of cultists wearing hoodies, numbering in the hundreds, half of whom are carrying guns. There are even sandbags piled up at the entrance, along with three Maxim machine guns and a mortar.

Tsk.

This firepower is comparable to an army company. No one would believe that there aren't cultists in the city hall.

Combined with this underground fortress with only one entrance, it could hold out for a long time even if a regiment attacked.

It seems the Adventists were prepared and intended to hold onto this last stronghold.

Fortunately, no one spoke after they came in; only a few people looked at the "corpse" that Hex was carrying.

There are three paths in the game that lead to the secret room below. The cult leader and the altar are inside and behind the secret room, respectively. One of the paths is the stairwell on the side of the hall.

Hex didn't look to either side, didn't speak to anyone, and walked straight towards the stairs on the side.

Just then, four or five masked, burly men filed out of the stairwell. They immediately spotted Hex at the entrance, their eyes widening in confusion. "Kent, is it done?"

"Have their identities been confirmed?"

Oh no, it's someone I know!

Wearing a hoodie, how did I recognize you at a glance?

Hex said hoarsely, "Take me to the bishop; I have important business to report."

The burly man was taken aback at first, because the voice was not Kent's.

But before he could react, a voice suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Obey him."

"He brought with him secrets concerning the life and death of the Adventists."

"Take them to see the bishop."

Emily patiently and skillfully tried her best to influence the burly man.

The burly man leading the group suddenly contracted his pupils.

"Come with me to see the Apostle!" He said numbly, then turned and left.

The door to the innermost office in the basement was opened, but the room was empty.

The burly man walked to the bookshelf and pressed a hidden mechanism.

With a loud crash, the heavy bookshelf slid sideways, revealing a hidden wooden door.

He gently knocked on the wooden door.

"My lord, I have urgent news to report!"

A hoarse, cold voice came from inside: "Open the door, come in."

The burly man pushed open the door, and Hex and the other three followed him into the secret room.

Inside the secret room, a bald man nearing fifty sat at a table, writing furiously with a quill pen.

They were the apostles of the Adventists.

Bigley.

"I told you not to bother me before the ceremony is over. What happened?" Bigley asked impatiently without looking up.

"My Lord, Kent discovered someone spying on the stronghold ten minutes ago." Zhuang's tone was as usual.

Before he could finish speaking, the burly man placed the two bloodstained pieces of clothing on the table with a respectful attitude.

"This is a small matter, just take care of it. Go collect your allowance." Bigley waved his hand.

"There's one more thing!" the burly man said.

"He needs to present it to you in person."

Bigley's hawk-like gaze pierced Hextech, his voice icy.

"Tell me, what happened?"

Hex didn't say anything, but respectfully handed over a small tin box.

Bigley looked at the blood-stained box, a strong sense of unease rising within him, and reached out to take it.

"I can't hold on any longer!" Emily couldn't help but cry out.

The burly man's bewildered eyes instantly cleared.

It's now!

Hextech reacted swiftly, grabbing Bigley's wrist and shouting, "Attack!"

Before she finished speaking, Joanna had already pounced like a cheetah, slamming her fist hard into the chin of the burly man next to her. With a crack, the burly man fell straight to the ground.

Bigley's expression changed drastically, and he struggled to grab the black crystal on the corner of the table.

But Hex simply pulled, and Bigley was instantly pulled off the desk.

Just as he was about to scream, a rag was stuffed into his mouth, leaving only muffled whimpers.

"Don't yell, or I won't hesitate to teach you a lesson," Hex said coldly.

Ada, behind him, closed the door and ripped off her smock.

In just a few seconds, the mastermind behind this Hell invasion was apprehended.

"Bishop, you must be regretting not implanting the magic mark on yourself now, right?" Hex said with a light laugh.

"Otherwise, you wouldn't have to rely on cursed artifacts to save face."

"They had absolutely no ability to resist."

Bigley's pupils contracted sharply as he stared at Hex in utter shock.

I've farmed this Adventist mini-boss several times with Hextech.

Bigley himself does not possess any supernatural abilities.

It can only unleash lightning through this black crystal, inflicting curses, slowing, and paralysis effects, making it the first torturous buff monster in the game.

Players who spent a lot of money on gacha pulls back then were disgusted by this tactic.
