His gaze swept over Inessa, Joanna, Benev, Ida, and Emily.

"Am I right, Carlodos?"

The entire room fell silent.

"Are you crazy?" Benev roared, about to step forward, but was held down firmly by Ada.

"Calm down." Ada's voice was serious for the first time. "Let him finish."

Hextech, observing the shocked, confused, and angry expressions on their faces, slowly began to speak.

"Caldos was not destroyed."

"It possesses one of you."

Above that are the True Name Demons, who possess true names and have developed self-awareness.

They possess extremely high intelligence, can respond to the call of cultists in the human world, tempt humans to fall into depravity, and are the commanders who control a region after the gates of hell are opened.

Modern weapons are useless against them; only by having a bishop of the Church lead a large number of clergy and crusaders, or even paladins, can they be barely "strangled".

Moreover, once one becomes a true demon, one is essentially an immortal. Even if one's physical body is destroyed in the mortal realm, one can be reborn in the abyss, though the time it takes will vary.

At an even higher level are the Demon Lords of the higher levels of Hell, each of whom is the ruler of a layer of Hell.

They possess world-destroying power, and humanity has never truly defeated any of the demon lords; at most, they can only pay a huge price to banish them back to hell.

They are like game players, immortal and indestructible. Even if they are banished, it is only a temporary offline event, and they can return at any time.

Above the Demon Lord are the Seventy-Two Demon Gods.

It draws inspiration from the seventy-two demons of Solomon.

Above that lies the supreme ruler of hell.

Satan, Lucifer, Lilith—these are beings that exist in the background, and it is said that if any one of them were to appear in the present world, the human world would come to an end.

Of course, let alone the supreme ruler of hell, even demon gods have rarely appeared. Even a demon lord could become the planner of a war that changed human history.

Besides levels, there are four other forms of demonic invasion of reality.

The first type is the entrustment of curses.

Demons imbue physical objects with a portion of their power and will, transforming them into cursed artifacts. A possessed demon can be expelled by breaking its body, but it also possesses some demonic abilities. Moreover, this type of demon is very cunning and can choose a variety of ways to possess. Unless it directly controls the possessed object, even an extremely devout and experienced priest would find it difficult to detect.

The third type is projection.

The previous Calodos was one such being.

The demon projection can concentrate 1% to 10% of the original body's power.

This is also the strongest demon that humanity can face under normal circumstances.

Demonic projections require cultists to perform bloody rituals to temporarily open a spatial portal in order to summon them.

Any projection of a demon lord is beyond the capabilities of ordinary armies; it requires the personal intervention of paladins and bishops.

Only when the gates of hell are fully opened can demons cross the barrier of reality and come to earth in their true form.

The true form of a demon lord requires at least one nation to exert its full power to resist.

It's important to know that the world of "Invasion of Hell" only depicts European countries; there are no Americas or Asia.

In Europe, only a few countries remain intact: the Papal States, the Kingdom of England, the French Republic, the Holy Roman Empire, the Nordic Union, and the United Kingdom of Spain.

The Papal States are the most powerful of them.

The others are all small countries, while countries like Russia and Poland are already extinct.

Even considering the Papal States' resources, humanity can only handle a dozen or so demon lords at most.

Hell has 999 levels, and each level is ruled by a demon lord.

There are also many demon lords who either directly follow the demon god or were driven out in the civil war of hell and did not occupy a layer.

It can be said that Hell only needed less than one percent of its power to crush the human world to the point of being unable to lift its head.

If twenty demon lords are sent.

Then the human world has only one path: extinction.

In the history of Hell Invasion, many of the great disasters that swept across Europe were orchestrated by the Demon Lord.

For example, in 1346, the great demon under Beelzebub released the Black Grail.

The Black Death claimed tens of millions of lives.

The war of corpses lasted for a hundred years.

Finally, Joan of Arc ended the war.

In 1812, Napoleon, the supreme commander of Europe, led a united European army in the Second Crusade. When they reached the outskirts of Moscow, the Great Khan's "Winter's Chill" descended upon the world, turning the sweltering summer into a harsh winter.

The combined European army froze to death outside Moscow.
