Evil God? My servants are players!
Chapter 61 Mobilization
After the players finished cleaning up the battlefield, they carried the goblins back to the base to respawn.
Kukukaka has returned to the old tribe.
But instead of cheers from her people, she was greeted with a 'well-intentioned' reminder:
"Kukukaka! You're dead! The clan leader is furious because of you!"
The one speaking was the patrol captain who had been sent away by Kukukaka.
"Huh? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on patrol?"
Kuku asked, puzzled.
But when the patrol captain heard this, tears and snot streamed down his face.
"It's all because of you! You insisted on going out to play, which resulted in me getting a beating from the clan chief! And now I've been relegated to guarding the gate!"
The captain said, wiping away tears.
Kuku Kaka just sighed when he heard this, and didn't say anything.
Having just experienced "inhuman torture," Kukukaka lost interest in everything for a while.
Then, Kuku Kaka walked into the nest.
"Hey! Don't forget to go see the clan chief! And don't forget to plead for me!"
Watching Kuku's retreating figure, the captain called out a reminder.
Kuku Kaka waved his hand, indicating that he had heard.
"Chief, I'm back."
Feeling dejected, Kukukaka arrived at the chieftain's cave.
"Oh, it's Kukukaka! What were you doing just now?"
The goblin chieftain opened his eyes and asked.
"I'm going outside to play."
"Anything else?" the clan chief pressed.
"I've been arrested."
"continue."
"I've been captured by a monster."
Kukukaka continued to respond to the goblin chieftain's questions in a half-dead state.
The goblin chieftain finally lost her temper and pulled out her staff, giving Kuku a sharp whack.
"I want the complete, detailed account! Everything!"
Despite being beaten, Kukukaka remained calm, as if his emotions had been drained.
But she still honestly recounted everything that had happened to her.
After receiving the answer he wanted, the goblin chieftain finally began to investigate Kukukaka's strange behavior.
"When did you realize you had no emotions?"
"I was already emotional before I passed out, and I was completely devoid of emotions after parting ways with Jiligulu."
Kuku Kaka explained.
"Really? Do you have any other unusual symptoms?" the clan chief pressed.
"That's all." Kukukaka shook his head.
"Alright, then you may go down," the chieftain said.
"By the way, the patrol captain also asked me to ask you if it's possible to reinstate her to her original position?"
Kukukaka asked before leaving.
"Let her go! Sigh~ Never mind, just tell him he'll stand there for two more days and then go back to being the captain."
The clan chief was about to lose his temper, but he suppressed his emotions.
The goblin chieftain knew that his recent irritable behavior was also caused by an unknown natural disaster.
"Alright, if there's nothing else, you can go now."
The clan chief waved his hand and said.
Before leaving, Kukukaka suddenly remembered something and added:
"By the way, clan leader, I feel my emotions are slowly recovering."
Kukukaka's talkative remark earned her another headbutt.
"Couldn't you have told me something this important sooner?!"
Watching Kukuka leave clutching two bags, the goblin chieftain fell into deep thought.
"The newly emerged goblin tribe is related to that mysterious force, and all its members come from here."
"Emotional effects are temporary, so why do people's emotions remain off?"
"A monster that can instill fear; you can only feel fear when you're around a monster."
“Could it be!”
Just as the goblin chieftain was about to come up with an answer, a shout interrupted her thoughts.
"Chief! Something terrible has happened! The scout team has been attacked by monsters!"
The patrol captain has come to deliver another message.
"Take this first!" Before asking for information, the clan chief, who was in a fit of anger, beat up the captain first.
After a brutal beating, the clan chief calmly inquired:
"Don't rush, speak slowly."
"Chief, a scout team has just returned and says they were attacked by a large group of monsters."
"Several goblins are dead!" the captain replied, rubbing his head full of bumps.
"What about the other reconnaissance teams?" the chieftain asked.
"I don't know, some haven't come back yet, and some said they didn't encounter any monsters," the captain said.
"Alright, I understand. And you can be reinstated to your original position." The clan chief thought for a moment and then added:
"But you must take your squad as messengers and go to the newly appeared goblin tribe."
"Remember, you must not show yourself. Observe from the shadows. If anything unexpected happens, run back to me immediately and report."
After hearing the chieftain's order, the captain stood still for a moment before speaking:
"A messenger? What message does he/she deliver?"
"Any message will do. Just say you're here to establish communication between the two tribes. Basically, we're sending you to gather intelligence."
The clan chief explained impatiently.
After receiving the exact orders, the captain went to find his teammates.
The goblin chieftain muttered to himself in the empty cave:
"Why are all goblins idiots? Only captain-level goblins can actually understand goblin language."
"Sigh~ I hope she can actually bring back some more useful information, instead of being killed by the monsters attacking goblins."
"Natural disaster? I thought that as long as you were infected by natural disaster, you would be mind-controlled and mutate into a goblin of a new tribe."
"Although the exact nature of natural disasters is still unclear, they are not as terrible as expected."
"But it's time to mobilize the goblins; those goblins corrupted by the natural disaster can't be allowed to live."
------
On the other side, the captain quickly gathered his team members and then led them in a large group toward the new tribe.
But just as the captain led the team halfway there, a group of monsters suddenly surrounded them.
They surrounded the captain's team, leaving them no way out.
Looking at the monsters that far outnumbered their own team, the captain recalled the tragic fate of the surviving members of the reconnaissance team and the terrifying experiences they had described.
The captain wanted to surrender, but it was obvious that these monsters couldn't understand goblins.
So the captain had no choice but to draw his baton and begin to prepare for battle.
"This percentage is so hard to get. I've played several teams and it's only 60%."
"It's because you've been slacking off and not dealing enough damage."
"I'm a level 10 newbie, and I feel like my ranged attacks can't even break through their defenses, but leveling up by fighting in groups with the pros is really fast."
The patrol captain looked astonished after hearing and even understanding what the monsters were saying.
She had never heard of monsters speaking goblin.
After all, most of the goblins who knew that monsters could talk became members of the new tribe.
The captain quickly realized that being able to speak meant being able to communicate, and being able to communicate meant being able to speak from the heart.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong!"
The captain immediately threw down his weapon and surrendered.
Seeing this, the other goblins also dropped their weapons.
Being cowardly is the survival rule of goblins, and it's also the winning formula they used to survive the raids by high-level adventurers long ago.
