Evil God? My servants are players!

Chapter 16 The Adventurers Are Coming!

The Earl of Hamlet picked up his pen and wrote on the parchment:

In the 76th experiment, deep-sea fish swim bladders were used instead of ethereal dust, which enhanced the directionality, but it still could not reach the target.

Just then, the castle bells rang, and the Earl of Hamlet remembered that he had a guest to see.

The count then went to the castle’s reception room.

An adventurer had been waiting there for a long time; he was the warrior captain.

"My lord! You wanted to see me?"

The captain stood up and gave the count an awkward, aristocratic bow.

"sit."

The count pointed to the chair.

"Yes, sir. Is there any work you need me for? I will do my best to accomplish it!"

The captain tried his best to keep a low profile.

"I heard you've seen the new monsters that appeared in the dungeon?"

"Yes, sir, I have seen him."

After receiving an affirmative answer, the count stood up and waved to the captain of the warriors.

"Come with me."

Although the captain of the warriors didn't understand why the count had summoned him, he still obediently followed.

"Come on, stand up."

The count pointed to a strange magic circle.

Upon seeing this, the captain of the soldiers began to have doubts, recalling the strange rumors about the count.

"Sir, what are you trying to do?"

"Stand up there." In response to the captain's question, the count simply repeated what he had just said.

"Sir, I haven't done anything wrong, have I?" The captain took a step back, a thought of retreating creeping into his mind.

"Stand up there," the count repeated for the third time.

"Sir, if there's nothing else, I'll be going now." With that, the captain of the warriors walked straight toward the gate.

The count didn't repeat the sentence a fourth time; he simply pointed towards the door.

bang

The door slammed shut.

"Sir, what do you mean by this?"

The count did not answer his question, but simply pointed to the magic circle with his finger, the meaning of which was self-evident.

The captain of the warriors did not obey the count, but instead quickly examined the workings of the mechanism.

He soon discovered the switch to the iron gate, on the wall behind the count.

After realizing that the count had no intention of letting him leave, the captain of the warriors stopped pretending.

"My lord, you don't really think you can trap me, do you? There isn't a single servant or guard in your castle, and I'm armed with weapons."

After showing off his weapons, the captain paced around the count, looking for an opportunity to attack.

Although the nobles generally had items that could block their senses, the captain couldn't see the count's strength.

But the captain thought the count wouldn't be very strong, after all, what kind of fighting power could a "notorious" spendthrift count have?

"You're nothing but a stupid pig pretending to be something you're not!"

Before the captain could finish speaking, he suddenly charged toward the Earl.

He brandished his weapon, aiming directly at the count's neck.

*Pfft*

Blood splattered everywhere.

It was the captain's blood that splattered everywhere.

The count merely raised his hand, and the captain's limbs instantly exploded.

It seems the count's power and his madness are matched.

"You can't stand up now."

The count ignored the captain's wails; he grabbed the captain's head and dragged his body into the magic circle.

"Time is running out, he won't live much longer."

The count muttered to himself.

Then, with lightning speed, he finished processing the materials that had already been prepared.

He pried open the captain's mouth and poured the prepared medicine into his body.

At the same time, the count muttered something to himself.

Instantly, a sticky feeling spread.

The familiar sticky feeling made the captain struggle even more violently.

As the ceremony progressed, the stickiness intensified.

A sense of decay, yet also a breath of new life, began to spread.

But just as the ceremony was about to reach its climax...

Bang!

The soldier captain was blown to pieces, and the ritual failed.

The count calmly wiped the blood from his face, pulled out a new piece of parchment, and wrote on it:

The 76th experiment, which directly used causal reasoning, was extremely successful, but was forcibly suspended at the end for unknown reasons.

Underground city.

Shen Yuan was now filled with questions.

He felt someone calling his name again, but unlike before, this time it was very clear, like a phone call.

Shen Yuan tried to answer the call, but the phone line was suddenly cut.

It's obvious without even thinking that this must be the work of the seal; that seal is truly wicked.

But the abyss did not come away empty-handed; he did manage to see a blurry image.

It's a view from above.

It was a medieval town, with a magnificent ancient castle in the center.

The phone call came from a strange old man inside the castle.

Shen Yuan was quite curious about the old man who kept making harassing phone calls.

How did he find his phone number, and how did he make the call?

Although Shen Yuan had begun to analyze the knowledge of the evil gods, his progress was still slow.

Opening the Humanity panel, Shen Yuan's humanity was eroded by the mere knowledge of evil gods related to pollution.

[70%]

This is the amount of humanity Shen Yuan has left, which is actually quite dangerous.

The percentage of humanity doesn't mean that Shen Yuan is safe as long as it's not below zero.

When humanity falls to a certain level, the greatness of divinity will directly overwhelm humanity.

Shen Yuan estimated that the figure was between 30% and 50%.

Although after the seal was broken, Shen Yuan was able to watch the players' antics live.

This caused Shen Yuan's humanity to stop slowly declining over time and instead begin to rise.

However, the recovery is very slow.

Shen Yuan has been trying to find ways to be more humane lately, but with little success.

Shen Yuan planned to analyze the evil god's knowledge about humanity after his humanity had returned to a safe range, to see if there was a way to quickly restore his humanity.

The old man's phone call provided Shen Yuan with a lot of information.

Some familiar faces led Shen Yuan to conclude that this town was located above the underground city where he was situated.

Shen Yuan also noticed that many adventurers were heading towards the town.

Among them were some high-level adventurers, which, combined with the conversations overheard earlier, suggests otherwise.

Shen Yuan understood that in the near future, a large number of adventurers would visit his territory.

Thinking about the players' levels, Shen Yuan felt immense pressure.

Adventurers who can reach the ninth floor are generally no lower than level 30.

The players are generally only around level 8, how are they supposed to fight?

Then Shen Yuan suddenly realized, why bother fighting with adventurers?

What is my own demand? Simply to collect my existence or emotions to break the seal.

Adventurers? They're just exploring and treasure hunting; they're not righteous people who hate evil.

There is no core conflict between myself and the adventurers; I just need to prevent the adventurers from discovering the truth here and attracting other forces.

Then we need to do some calculations about this.

At this moment, Shen Yuan also had a general idea in mind.

"Perhaps we could hold a game event for the players."
