Chapter 144 Royal Mouse?
Chapter 146 Royal Mouse?
"That's too much trouble. To be honest, I still prefer to cheat and swindle." Full Insurance Half-Hang said speechlessly.
"Hehe, how could the main city let you run wild?" The muscular man in the phase had just finished speaking when he noticed the camellias not far away.
"Hey? A new mouse." Quanxian Bangua also noticed the camellia.
Camellia was organizing people to clean up the mess left by the players, a chaotic scene of stalls crowded together by the players.
"That's a bit strange," the phase man suddenly said, seemingly out of context.
"What's strange?"
"This town is mostly inhabited by humans. Only Luna and an archer in the starting village are elves, and Hyacinth and the mouse who is always with her are rat people."
"so what?"
"Something's definitely not right. A bunch of ratmen suddenly appeared—is there some kind of plot twist? Like Hyacinth's personal storyline or something?"
"What does this have to do with hyacinths?"
"How can it not matter? Hyacinth is young and an orphan, so her parents can definitely be used to create a story. For example, Hyacinth could be a royal descendant who was lost to the world."
"That's so cliché!"
"You're right, aren't you? We can use this as an opportunity to start another team battle, with everyone helping Hyacinth kill the Regent, reclaim the throne that belongs to Hyacinth, and make Hyacinth the new Rat King—"
The man in the phase suddenly denied his own idea halfway through his sentence: "No, no, the background is Cthulhu, and in the end, Hyacinth should lead all the mice to convert to the evil god."
"You're really wasting your talent not being a screenwriter."
"Full of insurance, half-hanging," the man with the phase view glanced at the man with the muscular appearance and commented, then asked, "What do you mean? Are you going to trigger a plot?"
"Why not give it a try? I've got nothing better to do lately anyway."
After talking about the phase man and the full-risk half-carriage, they arrived at the rat stall.
"Boss lady—" The muscular man was interrupted by Camellia before he could finish his sentence.
"Pay first if you want to buy something, the round, yellow kind of money," Camellia replied irritably when she saw that the visitor was still an ugly monster.
"Oh, we're not here to buy anything, we're here to gather information." With that, the muscular man placed his greatsword directly on the stall.
"What, are you going to force me?" Camellia glanced at the muscular man.
"No, we don't have any money with us right now, so consider this a gift," the muscular man said, pointing to the greatsword.
Upon hearing this, Camellia glanced at the giant sword, then tapped it with her hand, before adopting a solemn expression.
Camellia couldn't discern the material of the greatsword, but it was certain that it was extremely sturdy.
"Alright, what do you want to ask?" Camellia called out a few mice and had them work together to carry the giant sword into the shed.
"Do you have any royal bloodlines that have been lost to the outside world?" the powerful prime minister asked bluntly.
Camellia was completely taken aback by the Phase Man's question: "Of course not, why do you ask?"
"Oh, we have a rat-woman here, an orphan, and we'd like to know if she might be the daughter of some powerful figure," the Phase Man explained.
After hearing the Prime Man's explanation, Camellia looked at him with even more disdain, but out of professional ethics, she still said, "We have no royal bloodline living abroad, nor have we heard of any sons of nobles living abroad."
Camellia certainly knew who the phase man was referring to as the ratman. Out of concern for her fellow humans, she didn't mention Hyacinth, but Camellia wasn't lying either.
"Fine." The phase man, who didn't get the answer he wanted, wasn't discouraged. He just turned around and left.
"That's it? Aren't you going to ask any more questions? You've already pawned your sword?!" Seeing the muscular man leave, Quan Xianbangua chased after him and asked.
"Digging too deep is too much trouble. I'm not really a story-driven player; I just don't want to play the game without understanding the plot."
Meanwhile, the man with the muscular physique changed the subject, saying, "But knowing the plot can give you an edge. Just think how much we made in the pre-quest in Hamlet Town!"
"That's true."
The following day, the Ice Adventurers' vacation ended, and the team members reunited at the tavern.
Unlike in the past, everyone was present this time, including Luna, although Luna participated via video.
"So, what's next?" the thief asked Luna while fiddling with the fork in his hand.
"Why are you asking me? Ask your captain."
That's right, Luna has already resigned from her position, since she doesn't know when she'll be able to leave.
After this period of training, Luna discovered that Sasha had also grown, since Sasha was now able to lead the other team members to disobey Luna's orders.
"Captain?" The thief turned to Sasha.
"I don't know either. We can't get any information from the resurrected ones." Sasha was also playing with the cutlery out of boredom.
"Why don't you just go on adventures like you used to?" Luna suggested.
"But sister, you're still trapped down there."
"Me? Aren't I with you guys? Although I can only offer emotional support." Luna didn't seem to care about her situation.
"But----"
Just as Sasha was about to say something, a rough opening of the door rang out, ruining the atmosphere in the tavern.
"Oh, so it is here. Here, this is a letter from your pastor mentor. What kind of year is this, still having to deliver mail?"
He was a player who came and went quickly. By the time he left the tavern, no one had figured out what had happened.
Then, the Frost Adventurers turned their attention to the letter.
By this time, the letter was tattered and torn, clearly having been opened and read by someone before being roughly put back.
It's obvious that the player who just delivered the message is the culprit.
Sasha didn't pay any attention to it; she picked up the envelope and began to read it.
"Hyacinth is looking for you? I've never heard her mention it."
After saying that, Luna temporarily left the screen on the phone, seemingly preparing to go find Hyacinth.
After reading the letter, Sasha summarized its contents and then recounted them.
"It's a mission from the Resurrected Ones. They said we need to find some suitable dungeons."
"You should try to stay away from populated areas, have as many monsters as possible, and have the highest level cap possible."
"After that, we'll go to a suitable dungeon and help them set up a teleportation array."
At that moment, Luna returned to the phone. She sat back down, about to say something, but Sasha interrupted, asking, "Sister, what exactly is this mission all about?"
"It means exactly what it says. Hyacinth said there shouldn't be much risk and the rewards are high," Luna replied.
"Should we accept it?" Sasha began asking for the opinions of the others.
"Oh? Are we going to have to sleep outdoors in the wind and rain?" the pastor asked, looking reluctant.
"I don't care," the thief shrugged.
"Having just finished a major battle, taking on some easier missions wouldn't be bad," the soldier replied.
"Let's accept it then. I've been really free lately anyway. But how do we set up the teleportation array when my sister isn't here?" Sasha asked Luna.
"There will be a prepared stone slab. You just need to follow the specific steps to activate it," Luna replied, then added, "However, you'll need to learn it beforehand. I guess someone will teach you after the Hamlet Town event ends."
