Rebirth Starting as a Stock Market Enthusiast

Chapter 25 I am Shen Fei's girlfriend

Shen Fei turned his head and glanced at Chen Xi, meeting her gaze.

She didn't flinch at all, just staring straight into my eyes.

Shen Fei felt that her eyes were really alluring, no less so than her legs.

"Let's go!" Shen Fei patted the back seat of the electric scooter and said, "This is all I have left. If you're going to freeload, get in."

"Um...aren't you afraid your girlfriend will get jealous?"

"Jealous? It's fine if you like being jealous. My family loves to eat vinegar with dumplings."

Chen Xi looked at the electric scooter, then looked down at the short skirt she was wearing, and hesitated for a moment.

She had never ridden in one of these before.

"What? Miss Chen thinks my ride isn't good enough for you?" Shen Fei straddled the car, looking at her with a leisurely air.

"No, it's just that I'm afraid I'll damage your car. What if you make me pay for it?" Chen Xi gritted her teeth and sat down sideways.

She carefully pinched the hem of Shen Fei's shirt with two fingers.

......

The electric vehicle started slowly, and the evening breeze carried the unique lively atmosphere of the small county town.

Chen Xi's hair was blown by the wind, brushing against Shen Fei's neck, making it ticklish.

"Hold on tight, or I won't be responsible for your medical expenses if you fall."

"Does your girlfriend usually ride in your car like this?"

"My girlfriend?" Shen Fei asked, as if he had heard something amusing. "She usually sits in front of me."

Sit in the front?

Isn't that just holding it in your arms? You're definitely a pro!

"I didn't realize you cared so much about your girlfriend."

"Of course, I'd cherish her," Shen Fei replied casually. "It's a pity my girlfriend is inflatable; I just punctured her last night, otherwise I could have introduced you two today."

"..."

Shen Fei rode his electric bike and chatted casually with Chen Xi.

Shen Fei knew perfectly well that Chen Xi was a woman of such high caliber that most people couldn't handle her.

His college roommate, Zhang Wei, was one such person. They only made eye contact when buying milk tea, and he started to fawn over her for years.

Every day, Zhang Wei tried every possible way to bring Chen Xi breakfast, but Chen Xi refused to accept it. As a result, Zhang Wei felt that Chen Xi was worried that he would get up early to buy breakfast and that it would be too tiring for him, and that she was doing it for his own good.

"Honestly, did you do it on purpose back then? You completely fooled my roommate."

"I wasn't playing him. He brought me breakfast every day, but I didn't accept it. Besides, after I found out what he was thinking, I even treated him to a meal. Isn't that enough?"

"That's not really being generous," Shen Fei chuckled, his electric scooter weaving through the evening breeze. "You're just letting people take the bait. Zhang Wei, that naive fool who's never seen the world, you don't even need to throw any bait, he just walks headfirst into the hook."

Anyway, after that meal, Zhang Wei felt that buying more milk tea would allow him to eat with Chen Xi, so he drank four cups of milk tea every day, rain or shine.

They almost got rid of a few guys in their dorm.

Even now, Shen Fei has lost interest in any kind of milk tea; he got sick of it during college.

"I clearly told him that I have a boyfriend, but he just didn't believe me."

Did you have a boyfriend at the time?

"No," Chen Xi answered matter-of-factly. "What does this have to do with whether I have a boyfriend or not? Don't you have an inflatable girlfriend too?"

This question left Shen Fei speechless for a moment.

He really couldn't refute it.

"So, people have their contrasts." Chen Xi's voice drifted from behind, carrying the coolness of the evening breeze. "You think the school beauty should be the center of attention, casually dating. You think the honest guy should be devoted and faithful. But what's the reality? The school beauty might just want to quietly run a shop and make money, while the honest guy might be doing all sorts of things behind the scenes. You can't judge people by their appearance, Boss Shen."

......

The electric scooter turned into an old residential area. The streetlights cast a dim yellow light, making the shadows of the two people very long.

Shenfei's home is on the third floor, and there is no elevator.

The hallway was cluttered with miscellaneous items, the walls were covered with little GG stickers, and the air was filled with the unique smell of an old house.

Chen Xi followed behind Shen Fei, her high heels clicking on the cement floor, making a "clack-clack-clack" sound that seemed out of place in the environment.

"Please sit wherever you like, my parents haven't gotten off work yet."

Shen Fei opened the door and stepped aside to let her in.

The house is small, with two bedrooms and a living room. The furniture is all from more than ten years ago, but it is kept clean and bright.

Chen Xi looked around the living room, her gaze falling on the family photo on the wall.

In the photo, Shen Fei is still a teenager, with a youthful face and a silly grin.

"You watch TV for a while, I'll go downstairs to buy some groceries."

Shen Fei took a vegetable basket out of the shoe cabinet and casually greeted them.

"I want to eat vinegar when I buy fish."

Chen Xi sat on the sofa, completely at ease.

"Okay, no problem."

Shen Fei finished speaking and went out the door.

As soon as I got downstairs, I ran into Aunt Wang from next door.

"Xiao Fei, you're back?"

Aunt Wang was carrying a bag of trash, but her eyes kept glancing upstairs. "Who was that girl who came upstairs with you? She's really pretty!"

"My classmate."

"Hello, classmate!"

Aunt Wang immediately perked up, "Your mom's been so worried about you, she's been looking for a nice girl in the neighborhood every day. I have several options in mind, how about...?"

Shen Fei: "..." "Aunt Wang, I'm in a hurry to buy groceries, I have to go now."

Chen Xi, who was upstairs, couldn't help but chuckle as she watched Shen Fei's retreating figure. Aunt Wang pursed her lips and turned to join the group of several middle-aged women chatting idly in the shade of the trees.

Chen Xi overheard the older woman chirping, "Sigh, what's going on with Old Shen's son? He graduated from a top university, but instead of finding a job in a big city, he just stays at home all day. I think he's just sponging off his parents."

"That's right. I saw him bringing back a basket of apples to sell the other day. How much money could he possibly make? What a waste of such a good education."

"Young people these days are all talk and no action, and they can't endure hardship."

"Being fair-skinned is useless; where is a lazy man supposed to find a wife? Chen Yun has been looking for girls every day lately; it's a disaster!"

Upstairs, Chen Xi stood by the window and heard the discussions downstairs clearly.

A slight smile played on her lips as she turned and walked downstairs.

She walked gracefully up to the group of middle-aged women, a sweet smile on her face: "Hello, aunties, I'm Shen Fei's girlfriend. We just came back to visit you and your aunties."

The chatter of the middle-aged women abruptly ceased, and they all turned to look at Chen Xi, their eyes filled with surprise and scrutiny.

This girl's demeanor and clothing clearly indicate that she's not from an ordinary family.

Chen Xi took the initiative to strike up a conversation, which piqued the interest of several middle-aged women in the neighborhood.

They really want to chat with other people.

The sense of accomplishment from receiving information from strangers is no less than that of a secret agent stealing important intelligence.

The more you know, the more opportunities you'll have to chime in when you're chatting with people in the future.

That person is not like what you're saying at all...
