He pointed his sword and brought it down, and the river instantly transformed into a waterfall, the roaring water sounding like crashing waves, continuous and endless.

In an instant, the water had overflowed and covered the entire platform.

The divine light of the Scale Book cleared a path, and with a flick of his sleeves, the river water around him surged into the sky, instantly resembling an inverted waterfall, making it impossible to get close.

Immediately, he stood with his hands behind his back on the cloud platform, and with a casual gesture, divine light descended from the sky towards the North Star, arriving with a thunderous roar.

Bei Chen's mind sharpened. Without hesitation, he guided his sword, transforming the river water into a white ribbon, to meet the descending divine light, and they collided in an instant.

He stood on the snake's head, and with a flick of his sword, the water on the cloud platform instantly changed its course.

But then the river transformed into a three-browed, glaring tiger, a two-horned, sky-reaching giant bear, an iron-backed, whiskered, ferocious crocodile, and a hundred other strange beasts, each with a fierce appearance, all devouring the scales and heading towards the river.

As the surrounding water beasts attacked, he swept them away with a roar, then raised his hand and spun around. Divine light, like a white rainbow piercing the sun, descended like a heavenly blade, severing the heads of all the beasts.

Upon seeing the giant serpent's tail, Lin Shu's eyes narrowed, and he raised his hand, shouting, "Rise!"

In an instant, divine light pierced through heaven and earth like a pillar, and in less than half a breath, the clear sky and bright sunshine appeared.

The clouds drift lazily, the breeze is gentle and pleasant; where is the giant snake now?

After the divine light dissipated, the floodwaters receded, and for a moment it was like a torrential rain falling from the sky onto the cloud platform.

Bei Chen sighed as he watched the rain fall, then took a deep breath and whispered, "Senior brother is extraordinary; this is truly an eye-opener."

However, to climb high, one must step on others as stepping stones, possessing great supernatural powers and abilities.

"Junior brother has a skill; I hope senior brother will teach me again."

Upon hearing this, Lin Shu nodded slightly and gestured for him to enter.

Although Bei Chen had said he would humiliate him and use his reputation to his own advantage, wasn't he also trying to use this momentum to achieve something?

One harbors ulterior motives, the other is upright and honest.

If he were to refuse at this moment, it would be inconsistent with his words and actions, which would be a poor choice and inappropriate.

But Bei Chen had transformed from a human into a snake, his snake eyes now ferocious.

It is often said that ferocious beasts, taking advantage of the power of mountains and marshes, wreak havoc and cause disaster.

At this moment, Beichen took advantage of the water's force to wreak havoc, and suddenly it was as if a flood was coming towards them.

Seeing this, Lin Shu raised his hand and pointed, his divine light sweeping across the area. The incoming water force was suddenly split in two and flowed away separately.

It then struck again, hitting the snake's body squarely. The scales shattered instantly, and the flesh vanished into thin air, revealing a large expanse of white bone.

Bei Chen hissed in pain, but the snake's eyes suddenly flashed with fierce light. Its body moved swiftly and its momentum surged as it slammed straight at Lin Shu.

"Hmm?" Lin Shu frowned slightly and moved her feet lightly.

The next second, the enormous snake's body brushed past him and crashed into the water behind him, disappearing from sight.

In less than half a breath, the snake's tail broke through the water's flow to the west, revealing itself. With just a slight sway, it stirred up waves that surged into the air, covering the scales and books.

Lin Shu casually unleashed a divine light, shattering scales and dissolving flesh, but the snake's tail continued its relentless advance, its mangled body dragging blood and flesh as it crashed down.

After all, in a gimbal competition, falling off the platform means defeat.

But things didn't go as he wished!

He unleashed his magic, divine light forming a robe around his body, and with a single step, instead of retreating, he advanced, suddenly leaping towards the mouth of the dark serpent.

Three or four breaths later, the snake's body suddenly bulged, rising more than ten feet, and then its flesh and blood burst open, and a divine light shot into the sky.

Then, a figure leaped out from the cloud platform and landed steadily.

Who else could it be but Lin Shu?

"Junior brother, I have won this time."

Lin Shu's Daoist robe was clean. He looked at Bei Chen and smiled faintly, "The injury is not light. Let's treat it first."

As soon as he finished speaking, a Daoist aura emanated from the snake's body, and then it suddenly shrank.

In a short while, Beichen had transformed from a snake into a human.

His face was pale, and when he coughed, a large amount of blood gushed out, splattering onto his ochre-colored Taoist robe.

Although he was unharmed, he was nearly unconscious.

"Hahaha—hahahaha!"

He spat out blood and foam from his mouth, fell to the ground, looked up at the sky, and burst into wild laughter.

It is believed that Beichen was fortunate enough to obtain the spiritual essence of the Xuan Snake and form a Dao embryo. He also learned the art of transformation and boasted that he could dominate the world and revitalize the lineage of miscellaneous studies.

Since they are all disciples of Taoism, why should there be a distinction between high and low, or between orthodox and miscellaneous schools?

Unexpectedly, today I have been defeated by Lin Shu, and my story ends here.

From now on, all Taoists will know the name of Lin Shu, but who will know my Bei Chen?

But a loss is a loss.

He may win with his sword, but I, Beichen, can also afford to lose!

Thinking of this, Bei Chen burst into laughter and shouted, "Senior Brother Lin, you are truly skilled! I am completely convinced!"

After hearing this, Lin Shu smiled faintly and said softly, "Junior Brother Bei Chen is also quite good."

He stopped speaking as soon as he finished speaking and waited quietly with his hands behind his back.

At that moment, Yi Xuan sat on his high seat and announced: "The candidates for the divine position have finished their competition. The winner will be Lin Shu, the first disciple of the Dao Yi Tai Miao Zhen Men."

All disciples should take the *Lin Shu* as their model, diligently study it without ceasing, and strive to revitalize the Daoist school in the future.

The disciples responded in unison, "We will respectfully follow the teachings of our High Priest."

Lin Shu bowed respectfully, then gently patted Qing Min, who had darted back from the Taoist priest.

As a member of the Dharma family, Qingmin is not allowed to bring her along during Dharma assemblies and competitions.

Therefore, whenever he had a match, he would always go to hug the Taoist priest.

Upon his return, Lin Shu was naturally overjoyed.

Seeing this scene, the disciples were filled with envy, but also secretly lamented their own lack of karmic connections, and could only watch in vain.

A moment later, Yi Xuan flicked his sleeves slightly, revealing a faint smile, and announced in a loud voice: "The eight disciples who have advanced shall ascend the altar to receive their titles."

Upon hearing this, Lin Shu suppressed his joy and strode toward the altar.

Disciples such as Beichen, Chen Hao, and Zhang Ziling followed closely behind.
