Returning to Taiwan in 2000 as a patriotic artist
Chapter 29 You want me to marry her in the future?
The morning sunlight streamed into the bedroom through the gaps in the curtains.
Gu Bei opened his eyes and glanced at Zhou Huimin, who was fast asleep beside him.
She was curled up in the blankets, her long hair scattered on the pillow, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and a faint smile lingering on her lips.
I was really tired last night.
I estimate I won't get up until very late.
Gu Bei quietly got up, put on athletic shorts and a T-shirt, and walked out of the bedroom barefoot.
He glanced at his watch; it was 7:30 in the morning.
By now, Sister Yang should have woken up.
Gu Bei walked out of the villa, crossed the green path between the two villas, and arrived at Yang Wanqing's villa. He swiped his card to enter.
The lobby on the first floor was deserted.
The sound of an automatic blender came from the kitchen, and the air was filled with the aroma of freshly ground soy milk.
"Sister Yang?" Gu Bei called out from upstairs.
Yang Wanqing's voice immediately came from the second-floor bedroom, tinged with a hint of languor, "Upstairs, come on up."
Gu Bei smiled and went upstairs to the second floor.
The bedroom door was ajar. He pushed it open and went in, where he saw Yang Wanqing leaning against the headboard, holding a glass of warm water.
She was wearing a deep red silk slip dress with a very low neckline, exposing a large area of her collarbone and shoulders. The straps hung thinly on her shoulders, as if they might slip off at any moment.
The hem of her nightgown reached only to her upper thighs, her two long, straight legs crossed, and the silver chain on her ankle was still there. The little gold bell made a soft "ding-ding" sound as she lifted her foot.
"You're back? What time did you arrive last night?" Yang Wanqing raised her eyes, a strange smile playing on her lips.
"It's past two in the morning." Gu Bei walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I didn't come over because I didn't want to wake you."
Yang Wanqing put down her water glass and reached out to hook her arm around his neck.
Their faces were pressed very close together, their noses almost touching.
"Did you miss me?" Her voice was soft, carrying a dangerous allure.
As she spoke, her two legs wrapped around Gu Bei's waist like venomous snakes.
"I want to." Gu Bei nodded honestly.
"What were you thinking?"
"I want to go anywhere."
Yang Wanqing smiled, her eyes curving into crescent moons.
She leaned closer, her lips brushing against Gu Bei's ear, her voice extremely low: "Did Minmin sleep at your place last night?"
Gu Bei's heart skipped a beat.
Without hesitation or denial, he nodded instantly, "Yes."
Yang Wanqing didn't press him for details, but gently bit his earlobe, saying, "I missed you too."
The next second, she pressed down on him, pinning Gu Bei to the bed, and a rope appeared in her hand without her noticing.
Gu Bei's palm rested on her waist, feeling the heat of her skin, so hot it felt like it was burning.
"Sister Yang..." His voice was a little strained.
"Call me Wanqing." Yang Wanqing lowered her head and kissed his lips, silencing his unfinished words.
The kiss was light, like a feather brushing against you.
Then it gradually intensified, becoming aggressive, as if it wanted to pour all the longing of the past few days into it.
Gu Bei rolled over and pinned her down.
Yang Wanqing's breathing became heavy, she dug her fingers into his hair, and arched her body slightly, pressing herself even closer to him.
"Xiao Bei... tie me up." Her voice trembled slightly. "It's a safe period today... I won't be able to resist later."
Gu Bei paused for a moment.
Yang Wanqing opened her eyes, looked at his face, and a dangerous smile appeared on her lips.
"Scared?"
Gu Bei didn't speak, but simply lowered his head and kissed her collarbone.
On the other side of the wall.
Xiaoyun leaned against the door, covering her ears with her hands, her cheeks as red as boiled shrimp.
Her hearing is indeed excellent.
You can always hear every tiny sound.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
But my heart was beating faster and faster.
"I'm a bodyguard... not an eavesdropper..."
Xiaoyun shook her head vigorously and then darted into the blankets with a "whoosh".
Her face flushed red, the color spreading from her cheeks to her ears and then to her neck.
An hour later.
Xiaoyun breathed a sigh of relief, crawled out from under the covers, her hair a mess.
She glanced at her watch; it was 8:10 a.m.
"Phew~"
She let out a long breath, got up and went into the bathroom, where she washed her face with cold water.
My face was burning red in the mirror.
"Calm down, calm down..."
She said to herself in the mirror, "You're a professional."
Ten minutes later.
Xiaoyun changed into a suit, tidied her short hair, and walked out of the room with a professional smile on her lips.
In the kitchen on the first floor, Gu Bei had already put on an apron and was frying eggs.
Seeing Xiaoyun come downstairs, he looked up and glanced at her. "Why is your face so red?"
"It's so hot..." Xiaoyun's voice was a little stiff.
She didn't say anything, walked to the refrigerator, opened the door, and brought her face close to it.
"The air conditioner is set to 18 degrees and it's still hot?" Gu Bei's lips curled up slightly.
He took the fried eggs out of the oven and cut a few slices of whole wheat bread into the oven.
"Xiaoyun, could you get me some milk?"
"Oh~" Xiaoyun closed the refrigerator door and handed over the milk.
Their fingers touched.
Xiaoyun suddenly pulled her hand back as if she had been electrocuted, and her face turned even redder.
The glass bottle containing milk plummeted instantly.
Fortunately, Gu Bei reacted quickly and caught it.
He glanced at it irritably and poured the milk into the pot to heat it.
The kitchen fell silent, with only the sizzling sound of steam rising from the pot.
"Where's Sister Zhou?" Xiaoyun broke the silence, her voice a little strained.
"Still sleeping." Gu Bei poured the warmed milk into a cup and added, "I was too tired last night."
Xiaoyun's ears twitched slightly.
The words "too tired" were automatically translated into something else in her mind.
And...she seemed to have heard some noises last night too...
Her face turned bright red again. She turned around and pretended to tidy up the table, but actually she was just fiddling with the plates, feeling like there was something wrong with where she put them. She was panicking.
Yang Wanqing happened to come downstairs and saw her like this, a meaningful smile appeared on her lips.
"Xiaoyun".
"Hmm?" Xiaoyun turned around, the blush on her face still lingering.
"With such good hearing, how will you find a boyfriend in the future?" Yang Wanqing said in a light, teasing tone, "You can hear everything, how embarrassing would that be?"
Xiaoyun's face flushed red instantly, all the way to the roots of her neck.
"Sister Yang, I...I'll go check if Sister Zhou is awake yet!"
She practically fled the villa.
"Hahahaha..."
Behind her came Yang Wanqing's unrestrained laughter, which was so loud that she laughed heartily.
Gu Bei shook his head helplessly. "Why are you teasing her?"
"That's fun." Yang Wanqing picked up the cup of soy milk, took a sip, and said, "This girl is nineteen years old and has never had a boyfriend."
She looked at Gu Bei meaningfully.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Gu Bei returned the look with an annoyance. "You don't mean you want me to marry her in the future, do you?"
He brought breakfast to the table: fried eggs, whole-wheat bread, hot milk, soy milk, and a bowl of porridge...
"What's wrong?" Yang Wanqing glanced at the corner by the door. "Come out, stop hiding."
She put down her cup, glared at her irritably, and said, "With your skills, you could have heard Minmin breathing as soon as you climbed over the wall, and then climbed back over. The whole process would have taken no more than 30 seconds."
Xiao Yun, who was hiding in the corner by the door, knew she couldn't keep up the act any longer, so she had no choice but to lower her head and come out.
She stood timidly in the middle of the gate, head down, sunlight streaming in from behind, casting her in shadow.
Gu Bei could clearly see that she was trembling all over, like a frightened fawn.
Their conversation must have been overheard.
"Don't take it to heart, Wanqing was just joking."
Gu Bei offered a few words of comfort, then glanced at his watch. "Let's go, we have to get to the company."
"There's still a lot to do today."
"Alright, I'm not teasing you anymore." Yang Wanqing was the first to walk out of the villa.
She walked past Xiaoyun without turning her head.
Gu Bei followed behind her, while Xiao Yun walked at the very back.
The three of them got into the Mercedes-Benz van.
The car slowly drove out of the villa area and merged into the morning rush hour traffic.
