Simultaneous Journey: Starting from Holy Terra
Chapter 57 Meeting the Emperor, Cipher: I'm still not worthy~
"call……"
Seeing the internet channel shut down, Ye Ming finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He exchanged a glance with Hilandri Veilwalker, who was looking in their direction, and then watched the Shadow Prophet disappear with her clowns before Guilliman could even notice.
After a brief sit-up, he collapsed to the ground again, utterly exhausted.
Victory does not mean the end of the battle; a small number of Thousand Sons have not been eliminated, and the wizards who command them are still active on the battlefield.
So when they saw Ye Ming lying down, the loyal company members gave up the attack and instead redeployed some of their heavy firepower to guard their company commander.
Meanwhile, Guilliman received a communication from the Imperial support forces.
He looked towards the vicinity of the net path, where the shadow prophet who had just helped them banish Magnus, along with the clowns who had been with her, had vanished without a trace.
Killieman couldn't be sure of their motives, but he trusted Ye Ming's judgment; at least Magnus's problem had been solved.
Through the connected communication network, Guilliman learned that the Imperial Guard, the Imperial Fist, and the Expeditionary Force were encircling and annihilating the remaining Thousand Sons, driving them toward the pit where Guilliman was located.
While directing them, Guilliman led the Silent Sisters, who miraculously suffered only one loss, in a charge towards the remaining Thousand Sons.
Without Tzeentch's aid, the remaining Thousand Sons were quickly wiped out by Guilliman's forces.
As the last Thousand Sons fell to the ground in decaying armor, a great cheer erupted from the surrounding Ascendant Army.
"We survived!"
"We've won!"
"For the Emperor!"
Cheers erupted across the lunar battlefield. Guilliman, panting heavily, also raised the Imperial Blade high, celebrating alongside the warriors.
After the celebration, he finally had time to lean against the Emperor's Blade and rest for a moment.
He looked towards Terra on the other side of the moon, that arid planet, their final destination.
Next, they will board the support force's ships and head to Terra's palace to meet their father.
"Fortunately, I wasn't late this time."
After resting for a moment, Guilliman walked over to Ye Ming with the Emperor's Blade in his hand. The Great Sage Kaul was examining Ye Ming's body.
"You're just exhausted, but your modifications seem different from normal Grey Knights. No wonder you can grow to three meters tall, only a head shorter than the original."
As Kaur examined Ye Ming, he muttered to himself.
"Can you stand up?" Guilliman came to Ye Ming's side and reached out his hand to this brother he recognized.
Ye Ming grasped the hand that the original body reached out and used it to stand up.
"Fortunately, he's not completely dead yet."
"I need you to stay by my side and stop taking such risks."
"For the Emperor, for our ideals, we are willing to do this."
Looking at Ye Ming's resolute expression, Guilliman felt gratified by Ye Ming's determination, but for the first time, he wondered if this was just stubbornness.
But he quickly dismissed the idea. He patted Ye Ming on the shoulder and then ordered everyone to board the ship and rush to Terra.
On the ship, Ye Ming and his squad were reviewing the battle, correcting tactical errors and shortcomings.
The Imperial Guard squad sat to the side, displeased with their separation from Waldos's Grey Knights, but their eyes remained fixed on Ye Ming.
The Silent Sisters, who made the Grey Knights uncomfortable, also did the same, their gazes fixed on Ye Ming.
Killieman noticed this, and after observing carefully, he suddenly realized... there seemed to be a feeling in their eyes as if they were looking at a child.
"I'm so glad you're back, child."
Just as Guilliman was watching, a slightly aged Forgotten Knight, accompanied by a newly ordained nun, walked up to Ye Ming's side.
The Forgotten Knight excitedly greeted Ye Ming using mental sign language, while the newly ordained nun couldn't help but offer an explanation.
The Silent Sisters can speak, but when they ascend to the Void Maiden stage, they make a vow of silence and never speak again.
The Forgotten Knights, on the other hand, are high-ranking nuns who lead the witch hunters on missions.
They are all psychic isolators who have fully developed their anti-psychic abilities, and any psychic activity in their vicinity is harmful to the user!
So they stayed in a corner of the ship, far away from the Grey Knights and Ultramarines.
If it weren't for Ye Ming, the Forgotten Knights might not have taken action.
"Nun!"
When Ye Ming saw the other person, he stood up abruptly, excitedly responded to her using mental sign language, then went up to give her a big hug, pulled her to sit down with the Imperial Guards, and began to talk and chat.
The Imperial Guards did not stop them; in fact, they even gave up two positions!
You know, the Imperial Guard is a little jealous of the Grey Knights.
The newly ordained nun was also surprised, never expecting that a Grey Knight would know the nun's thought sign language.
Killieman was watching everything.
After witnessing Ye Ming's relationship with Sister Silent and the Imperial Guard, his keen political sense told him that this was a rare opportunity for a breakthrough!
With Ye Ming around, their relationship with Sister Silent and the Imperial Guard might be even better than imagined!
"Don't worry, everything will change in the future." Ye Ming held the hand of the Forgotten Knight.
The other party came from the Silent Sisters Order, which had long since returned to Terra. When Ye Ming was adopted by the Atalien Hestia sisters, she was already above Terra. It could be said that she watched Ye Ming grow up!
The Forgotten Knight didn't care about Ye Ming's talk of changing the status quo; she was only excited and happy because Ye Ming had returned safely.
Soon, led by the Imperial Guard, the Imperial Fist, and other support forces, Guilliman and his group landed in the area outside the palace.
Upon landing, Guilliman ordered the Astronauts and most of the Ultramarines to return to their ships and await orders in outer space.
He led a small core group, including Ye Ming, the Living Saint Celestine, the Great Sage Belisarius Caul, the Grey Knight Grand Mentor Wordos, and the Inquisitor Greifax, through underground passages, across the chaotic outer areas, and directly to the outer defenses of the palace.
"It is a great pleasure to meet you, holy son of the emperor! We have been waiting for you for so long!"
First to greet Guilliman were a heavily armed guard, representatives of the Martian Mechanicus, and officials from various important departments of the Empire.
They greeted the Primarch with nervousness and trepidation.
"Put aside the formalities for now, gentlemen, tell me about Terra's current situation." Guilliman smiled, once again displaying his personal charm.
The officials nervously and briefly reported the current state of the Empire to the living Primarch before them.
Killieman listened attentively but didn't react much.
He simply incorporated all the information into his thinking, and then quickly calculated and analyzed it.
After calculation and analysis, what the Primarch saw through his eyes was a chaotic world and a people suffering under a high-pressure military order.
Extending beyond the city walls, there are countless dilapidated and old building complexes, various huge and bizarre defensive artillery works layered on top of each other, and most importantly—the fact that the starlight has been extinguished.
"It's alright, gentlemen, we will take care of those matters. Now, please allow me to go and see my father."
Killian chose to ignore these issues for the time being. After comforting the officials present, he spoke with the commander of the Imperial Guard and then led Ye Ming and the others to the Golden Throne ahead of him.
When they arrived at the first gate, the Imperial Guard ordered all non-essential personnel to stay behind. Guilliman began screening those who would proceed next, and it was at this moment that Cipher spoke up.
"Please allow us to travel together, sir."
Guilliman looked at Cipher, his gaze sweeping over the greatsword on his back, before turning to the Imperial Guard and saying, "Take this man and his companion to the dungeon for now! I will speak with you after I have met with my father."
Upon hearing this, Cipher looked at Ye Ming, who simply shook his head in silence.
Cipher understood that Ye Ming might choose to trust him, but his background was too mysterious, and Guilliman wouldn't trust him so easily.
Although he provided a lot of help along the way, his unknown identity is the biggest suspicion.
There's nothing I can do; I'm just not good enough for them!
