Chapter 31 The Unexpected Maid
Chapter 31 The Unexpected Maid
"Oh? You're admitting defeat already?" Lu Xiao's clone said.
"I surrender, I surrender!" Dalton kowtowed and begged for mercy.
Avina, standing to the side, was incredulous that her guild leader had just conceded defeat.
"How can you beg for mercy so easily? I can keep healing you!" Avina said angrily.
Dalton shook his head, unable to express his frustration.
I should never have listened to that woman and provoked such a killing god. The opponent's strength is obviously above mine, and this cannot be made up for by treatment.
Lu Xiao's clone walked up to Avina and slapped her across the face.
"How dare you hit me!?" Avina was so angry that her nostrils flared up.
slap~
Another slap landed on Avina's face.
"So what if I hit you?"
Avina covered her cheek and looked at Dalton with a wronged expression.
Dalton simply lowered his head and remained silent.
The clone said, "Tell me, how should this be handled? If there isn't a good solution, this sword in my hand won't recognize anyone."
Dalton pleaded, "I can give you money and equipment, just let us go!"
"Money and equipment?"
Lu Xiao glanced at their equipment: "I don't think your equipment is that great. As for money, I don't really need it."
"Then tell me what you want, and I'll get it for you!" Dalton said, drenched in sweat.
The clone glanced at Aviana, its eyes scanning her up and down.
She has a curvaceous figure, a pure and innocent face, and a top-notch physique, but her personality is somewhat annoying.
"This high priest is quite good-looking," the clone remarked with amusement.
Dalton was perceptive and understood what Lu Xiao meant.
"What do you plan to do? Avina is our guild's high priestess; our guild cannot do without her."
The clone thought for a moment and said, "My house happens to need someone to clean, so how about we have her come and help with the cleaning for a month?"
"Impossible!" Avina exclaimed angrily.
The clone smiled slightly: "Your opinion is not important."
Avina then looked at Dalton: "We can't agree to that. How can I, the High Priestess, go and clean someone else's house? Wouldn't people laugh at us if word got out?"
Dalton closed his eyes and took a deep breath: "Avina, I'm afraid you'll have to make do for now."
Avina froze on the spot upon hearing this, not expecting Dalton to agree so readily.
"It's only for a month. I'll bring you back in a month, okay, Avina?" Dalton said pitifully.
Avina looked somewhat dazed and almost lost her balance, leaning on the railing for support. "Dalton, we may not be husband and wife, but we've consummated our relationship. Are you just going to hand me over to someone else like this?"
Dalton sighed, "There's nothing we can do about it. I didn't want to get involved in this, but you insisted on doing it, and I'm just a victim of your actions."
Avina felt like the sky had fallen: "I never expected you to say that. I just want to know, do you even still have feelings for me?"
"Of course I have feelings for you. I gave you this equipment, these skills, and I'm the one who gave you all of this. How could I not love you?"
"Now is your time to contribute to our guild. I'm sorry, Avina."
Avina gave up completely, her eyes lifeless. A high priestess was sent away just like that.
The clone clapped its hands: "Alright, since you've made up your mind, come with me, High Priest."
The clone pulled Avina up, hoisted her onto its shoulder, and carried her downstairs.
Seeing the two leave, Dalton wiped the sweat from his brow and let out a long sigh of relief: "Phew, they're finally gone. I almost died."
"I'm so sorry, Avina, this is all your fault."
But in an instant, a relieved smile appeared on Dalton's lips: "Now I finally have some peace and quiet, my darling Vivian, I've come to find you."
After saying that, he picked up his phone and dialed Vivian's number.
"Hey, Vivian, I'm coming over tonight."
"Really? But won't that woman Avina find out?"
"Don't worry, she has some things to take care of these days, so we can finally enjoy some time together."
"Great, come quick, Lord Dalton."
"Okay, I'm coming right away."
Dalton hung up the phone and rushed to Vivian's place.
Many things happened that night, but Lu Xiao was unaware of them while he was asleep.
The next morning, the sun shone brightly.
Lu Xiao stretched, feeling so comfortable.
"Master, please enjoy your breakfast!"
The sudden sound startled Lu Xiao.
Upon closer inspection, the High Priestess of the Glory Guild, Avina, was standing obediently by the bed, holding a prepared breakfast in her hands, looking at Lu Xiao with a devout expression.
Lu Xiao was dumbfounded. What the hell was going on?
Not far away, the clone was sitting leisurely on the sofa, giving Lu Xiao a meaningful look.
Lu Xiao immediately dispelled the clone.
In an instant, a flood of memories rushed into my mind.
The events of last night flashed through Lu Xiao's mind, and he finally understood what had happened.
The next second, Lu Xiao summoned his clone again.
"I never imagined that you would get into so much trouble while I was asleep, even kidnapping the High Priest of the Glory Guild to be their maid!"
Clone: "I felt it was unnecessary to wake you up for something so simple, so I handled it myself."
2
Lu Xiao nodded: "That's fine. You did a good job. Now the Glory Guild won't cause any more trouble."
Avina, standing to the side, stared wide-eyed at the twins, wondering why they kept appearing and disappearing.
"Aren't you twins?" Avina exclaimed.
"Of course not, he's my clone." Lu Xiao scratched his head.
"What?! He's a clone?"
Avina was even more incredulous. If a clone had such strong combat power, just how strong must the real body be?
Avina became increasingly frightened as she thought about it, but thankfully the matter ended there and didn't escalate to a worse situation.
Avina felt she could manage to stay a maid for a month.
"Please enjoy your breakfast," Avina said softly.
Clones: "Don't worry, I personally supervised her cooking."
Upon hearing this, Lu Xiao began to eat heartily; the taste was quite good.
It was hard to imagine that the once arrogant Avina had now become his servant; it took Lu Xiao a while to accept this change.
It's amazing that I just took a nap.
"By the way, where did she get that maid outfit?" Lu Xiao asked.
The clone pointed to the clothing store across the street: "I just grabbed one. Don't worry, I've already paid for it."
For some reason, Lu Xiao felt that his clone's personality was somewhat different from his own.
How to put it? The clone is a bit more cunning and cold-blooded.
